Virgil x Logan ~ Accidental Morning Kisses
A/N: fight me.
.............
Logan and Virgil had been dating for a few months.
How it happened, a complete accident in all honesty.
Logan happened to confess to the anxious trait in attempt to calm him down.
To say Virgil was happier hearing the confession would be a major understatement.
Still, because of the anxious sides'..... anxiety, the two decided to hide their relationship.
And they managed to hide it pretty well. Even in videos they kept up their very strict, "friend" relationship, even though at night, they slept in each other's beds, curled up, reading books, watching movies. Cute couple things.
Well, Virgil had woken up early for once, still exhausted, clamoring his way downstairs. He hadn't bothered with makeup or that, so he was obviously tired, and the other sides noticed he was wearing his hoodie and boxers, not bothering to throw on pants.
Well, at least he felt comfortable around them enough to do such a thing.
"Morning Virgil." Logan said kindly, taking a sip from his coffee, the only thing that separated his and Virgil's states at that very moment.
Virgil, forgetting Patton and Roman were sitting at the counter, walked over to Logan and just, kissed him, grabbed his face and kissed him, hugging the trait tiredly.
"Morning."
Logan took a moment to process what exactly happened, an uncharacteristic flush making its way to his face.
"Well ain't that cute!" Patton said suddenly, causing Virgil to fully wake up.
"H-huh?"
"Virgil, you just kissed me in front of the other two."
"W-wha- I-"
Logan placed his hands on Virgil's shoulders, "shhhh, calm down, come on, breath."
Virgil nodded, shaking a bit, but breathing slowly, feeling calmer, then nervously looking over to Patton and Roman.
"What?" Roman snorts.
"You're not weirded out."
"I'm just wondering how books for brains over here and panic at the everywhere got together. Patton and I are the romantic traits."
"Oh Ro, no need to be bitter cause you didn't find romance first," Patton teased. Virgil seemed to relax that things were remaining the same.
"See V, things aren't as bad as you made them out to be."
"I can't help it. I'm the living breathing embodiment of anxiety."
"I know, and I love you anyways."
"Oh, I think i got a cavity from all the sweetness!" Patton joked.
"Really?" Logan sighed.
Patton smiled, "that joke was Patton- pending."
"I'm going to scream."
Virgil smiled softly, "Well, I'm no longer anxious about telling them."
"We should tell Thomas!" Roman exclaimed.
"Woah there tiger, let Virgil take baby steps. Not everyone is screaming with pride."
"Why not? They were clearly made for each other."
"Was that a backhanded compliment?" Virgil muttered.
"It might be," Logan sighed, "Anyw-"
All the sudden, the four were in their usual spots in the common room.
"Ah! My makeup!" Virgil popped out and was back a second later, properly made up for the occasion.
"Oh son, you looked fine before," Patton assured.
Logan pushed his glasses up his face, "Well, considering he is anxiety, I'm sure he feels more comfortable this way."
"Aw, you're sucking up for him!" Patton squealed.
Thomas looked between his sides, "I'm missing something?"
"L-"
"Baby steps Roman. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will this," Patton said, smiling.
"Ugh, it's fine! IMDATINGLOGAN! There, like a bandaid."
Logan smiled a bit, "reminiscent of your name reveal."
"Don't remind me."
"You remind yourself constantly, do you not?"
"Logan,"
"Yes?"
"Shut up."
"Understood."
Thomas let Virgil's words sink in.
"Huh, guess I owe Joan some money."
"Thomas?" The others exclaimed.
"It's a joke. Joan thought you two would be cute together. It is pretty cute, but I thought it couldn't happen because, Logic and emotions don't always go together."
"I surprise myself with how much emotions I have become able to express. It is very," He picks up a notecard, "chill."
"Better than before at least," Thomas offered.
"Yeah, definitely better." Virgil agreed with a small nod.
"I've forgotten my problem temporarily, how did you two come about?" Thomas asked.
Logan and Virgil looked at each other, wondering who should explain. Then, they seems to agree that Virgil would be the best at explications, for some reason.
"Well, everyone helps me with my anxiety."
"Cause we love ya sport." Patton said warmly.
"You're a true dad pat."
"Why thank you."
"Logan was helping me with some breathing exercises, then trying to logically solve my problems to make me less anxious about them. And then my problem was that no one cared about me and-"
"I said I loved him. I had not planned to confess my feelings but at the moment I wanted Virgil to feel better."
"Well, it seems back to the future has emotions."
Logan rolled his eyes at Roman.
"Well, I also had feelings and so, yeah, that's how it came together. He understood my anxiety about coming out about it and wanted to wait until I was comfortable before we told you guys. Not the slip up that just happened."
"Slip up."
"Fall out forever was tired and kissed Logan in front of us."
"That's quite adorable Virgil."
"Ugh."
"Thomas, if we aren't here to help with a problem, or would be greatly appreciated if you stopped adding more Anxiety onto Virgil's shoulders, more specifically, Roman, read the room."
"Me?"
Patton held back a laugh. As did Thomas.
"Well, I do sill need help with a problem, we can get back on track."
And they did help Thomas with his problem, and then said goodbye and went back to the mind space, where Virgil got some coffee and sat on the counter, because he's pretty much a cat.
"You okay there V?" Logan asked warmly.
Virgil nodded, "thankfully."
"That's good." Patton and Roman watched the pair exchange warm smiles, something neither of them wore very often.
"Someday I'll find my own prince or princess!" Roman said under his breath.
"Well kiddo, maybe you're looking in all the wrong places." He smiled and left for his room, saying something about knitting sweaters for kittens. Or looking up baking recipes. One of the two.
Roman followed suit, going to his own room, casting one last glance at Emo and Nerd, seeing that they both were drinking coffee, but instead of Virgil sitting cross legged on the counter, his legs hung over the edge, with Logan standing between them, just so they could be closer.
Honestly, a match made in heaven.
Then he left.
"I love you Lo."
"I love you too V."

A/N: ah, fluff, it's beautiful.
