Patton x Roman ~ Close Your Eyes
A/N: Kay, have fun.
..........
So, Logan and Virgil had enough.
Roman and Patton were literally made for each other and the idiots couldn't act on their feelings.
Virgil had enough of Roman singing ballads in the middle of the fucking night to a picture of Patton.
Logan had, had enough of Patton going to him, going on and on about how perfect Roman was.
Frankly, they just wanted a break from it all. For the two to get together and end the suffering.
"I think I'd rather deal with them being lovey Dovey with each other than how it is now," Logan said in a monotone voice.
Virgil nodded sympathetically, "they are too much."
"Extra?"
Virgil rolled his eyes, "Yeah, they're pretty extra. I don't mind Patton, he's dad, but Roman's singing has been causing me even more lack of sleep."
"Patton won't stop breaking into my room and going on and on about Roman. I'd happily trade. At least I can drown Roman out."
"You would think you could. Even with my headphones, I can hear him." Logan was a tad worried by the murderous look on Virgil's face.
"Let's just try to figure out how to get them together."
Virgil nodded, the dark look still in his eyes.
Better solve this problem soon!
At first, the two wanted to just, get the other to confess, but Roman was stubborn, and so... so was Patton for some odd reason.
After a month of both of them trying desperately to get the two together in normal means, they went drastic.
They locked the two inside of Roman's room. And that meant that Patton was gonna see the serenade shrine that Virgil had mentioned to Logan over and over again.
"Great, now for them to fall for each other. I mean confess," Virgil sighed.
"Hopefully. Want to grab a cup of coffee?"
"Yes please."
The. The two booked it, leaving Roman and Patton, sitting in Roman's room.
"Why are we able to lock our doors from the outside, and get stuck on the inside?" Roman complained.
"Beats me. Looks like we'll have to wait until Lo and Verge scadoodle on up here and let us out."
Roman groaned, "what is with them lately?"
"What do you mean sport?"
"Virgil all the sudden kept trying to push me to talk to you more."
Patton remembered Logan's constant discussions about maybe confessing his love for Roman and realized Virgil was trying to do the same.
He was about to comment when his eyes caught a picture of... himself? I'm the wall, with little hearts cutely decorating it.
Patton just stared at it, not sure how to continue with their dialogue.
Roman had noticed Patton was no longer looking at him, and followed his line of sight, his eyes catching on the shrine he devoted to singing ballads to- oh god!
"P-patton, it's not what it looks like-!"
"You like me?"
"I- yes, you're a great f-"
"I like you too!" Patton threw himself into a hug with Roman, both of them falling back, Patton laying on top of Roman, still hugging him.
Roman was blushing, "You like me?"
"I've had a crush on you for years! You're my knight in shining armor!"
Roman smiled, "I thought you liked Logan, you always call him your hero."
Patton shook his head, Pouting, "Logan is like a brother. Or a son, but I don't see him romantically."
"I just assumed...-"
"You assumed wrong."
A chuckle, "I guess I did."
Patton laid still, humming warmly as Roman's heart beat steadily, "we were worried over nothing."
"Seems like it, but that's how it always is, isn't it?"
Patton nodded in agreement, unsure of what to really do next. Then, he had an idea. "Roman, close your eyes."
"Why?"
Patton huffed, "just do it."
"Alright, Alright." Roman closed his eyes and Patton lifted of Roman's chest a little, leaning into Roman's face and pressing a gentle, warm kiss to Roman's parted lips. He pulled away after a few seconds, and sunk back down to his previous position.
"I love you."
Roman chuckled, "you really are a reckless heart." Roman flipped them over, gently leaning down to capture Patton's lips, returning the kiss he just got. Patton seemed happy with the gesture and wrapped his arms around Roman, gently running a hand through his soft hair.
"Ro-" Patton puffed as Roman pulled away.
"I love you too Patton. I promise to cherish you and love you, so will you date me."
Patton smiled, unable to really formulate words, but got out, "Yes!" Before launching himself into Roman's arms one more.
"I guess we'll have to Thank Logan and Virgil."
"And apologize. We were...."
"Annoying to deal with."
"I was going to say stubborn, but that's more accurate."
Roman smiled and ran his fingers loosely through Patton's hair, and the heartfelt side smiled warmly at the action. "My prince." Patton said again, softly, purring at their contact with each other.
"Think we should let them out," Virgil asked.
"It's been less than an hour, you really think it-"
"I've seen the shrine, that would've taken a minute or two at most and Patton would find it cute and all that. They're definitely already dating."
"How can you be so sure?"
Virgil shrugged, "gut feeling."
"Gut feeling? I have a hard time b-"
"We're talking about Patton and Roman. They can only be so oblivious to each other for so long. Besides, they're not as oblivious as someone I know." The last part was a mutter, and Logan didn't hear it.
"Let's go check in them then."
The two made their way to Roman's room, where Logan unlocked the door, flinging it open, only to see Patton sitting on Roman's lap, hugging him.
"So..."
"Called it, they're together. My suffering is over." Virgil did a one eighty and walked away.
"So are you two... I mean-"
"Yup." Patton hummed.
"Alright."
"You know Logan, if you stopped being Obluvious yourself, you may not have had to dealt with us."
"What are you talking about?"
"Figure it out."
Logan rolled his eyes and left.
Oblivious boy.
