Logan x Virgil ~ Morning After

A/N: I just like the idea of the afterglow of whatever anyone does sticking around. Some people are just a lot happier the morning after something happens. Thought I'd capture my take on it.

Very short.

..........

The hum of the morning woke Logan up. He knew already from the blinding light that brightly lit his room, that he slept in too late.

Though... he didn't mind.

He didn't move, his eyes shifting focus on Virgil's hands locked in front of him, the trait in question snoring into his back.

The smile couldn't slip from Logan's face, gently turning himself around to face Virgil. He welcomed this, snuggling further into Logan. Logan nestled his arm under Virgil's head like a pillow, and the smallest of smiles made its way to Virgil's face.

Logan smiled warmly at that, his eyes lowering to the countless hickeys and bite marks that were visible under Virgil's hoodie. He knew his skin was as equally littered, but he'd be able to move around straight away.

A swell of pride filled his chest thinking about how absolutely wrecked Virgil looked the previous night. That and how Virgil may or may not be able to stand up.

Virgil moved, and let out a small yawn as his eyes opened, peering up at Logan with still tired eyes.

"Good morning Virgil," Logan whispered, capturing Virgil's lips in a short kiss.

Virgil groaned, "my breath stinks, why'd you kiss me?"

"I frankly don't care how bad you're breath is. Besides, bad breath isn't the nastiest thing that's ever been in your mouth."

Virgil pounced, talking Logan, sitting on his lap and pinning his arms to the headboard, "last I checked, you were going crazy at the sight."

"Well," Logan said, smirking in delight, "I wasn't the one who got hard af-"

"Shut up!" Virgil squealed, his cheeks covered in a heavy blush.

Logan nodded and Virgil dropped his hands, "you know I tease you because I love you?"

"I know."

"Breakfast?"

Virgil snorted, "what time do you think it is?"

"I..." he paused, "what time is it?"

"Time for a late lunch."

"What!?"

"It's one," Virgil informed with a rather large, sly smile, "we were up until about three. Maybe longer."

"My sleep schedule shall suffer."

"Then let it, just enjoy right now. Come on, let's get some food."

Logan smiled, "let's."

Virgil climbed off Logan and went to walk to the door, but was stopped by his shaky legs giving out underneath him. When he collapsed onto the ground with a very hard thud, Logan had to hold back a laugh as he helped his boyfriend to his feet, his legs shaking, unable to ground himself.

"You okay?" He asked Virgil warmly.

"This is your fault!"

Logan shrugged, "you didn't mind last night."

"I..." Virgil's ears and neck went pink, "just help me downstairs."

"Will do." Logan quickly scooped up Virgil in his arms, carrying the trait bridal style, and Virgil absolutely hated how defenseless he felt. Though, his worries melted away when Logan peppered kisses to his face as an apology for not being able to walk.

Then they moved downstairs.

To say it was awkward seeing Roman and Patton playing cards would be an understatement.

"Please keep it down next time, some of us do try to sleep during the early hours," Roman said in an overly sarcastic tone.

"Oh shut up!" Virgil hissed.

"Like a kitten!" Patton squealed.

Virgil scowled as Logan set him down on the couch with the other two, "I'll make us some lunch."

"Ah... let me help. You aren't so handy in the kitchen..." Patton offered.

The two made their way to the kitchen, and Roman just smirked at Virgil, "so, who made the first move."

"You're such an idiot."

"You both are a bit indecisive, so i just have to know."

Virgil rolled his eyes, "You're the creative side. Let your imagination run wild."

"Do you really want that?"

"On second thought," Virgil shook his head, "no. Not at all."

"So, hows it happen then?"

Virgil shrugged, "we were watching movies and I guess it sorta just happened?"

"No way does something that goes until three a.m. just 'happen.' You expect me to believe that?"

"I'm telling the truth. The movies I guess were slightly suggestive, but that was it."

"So, first move?"

"Logan."

"Knew it!"

"What?"

Roman snorted, "if either of you was going to make the first move, then it had to be Logan."

"You're a horrible friend."

"I'm basically family."

The two bickered until Logan and Patton came back with food and drinks, to which Logan and Virgil enjoyed together. Patton and Roman just helped themselves to the drinks.

It was a beautiful afternoon.

Logan still wishes they woke up earlier.

But, there's always next time.

Next time.

Logan couldn't wait.

........

A/N: just short and silly. As of the time I'm writing this, I'm 3 days away from 17.
