What's up with Roman?
Okay so this most recent video got me shook. Spoilers ahead of course.
Is Roman okay?
Is Janus a light side?
What did that nod that Janus gave Roman mean?
WHO is the orange side?
AND WHERE THE FRICK WAS VIRGIL AND MY RAT BOI
So this theory I'm writing down now in case I'm right. My theory is on "Who is the orange side/Is Roman okay?"
As most know, Roman sank out first, after a huge argument with Deceit, who we now know as Janus. (Google the definition of Janus if you don't already know) So I think I may be able to answer the questions above with one simple explanation.
Roman will be the orange side.
I had this in the back of my mind since dwit (Dealing with Intrusive Thoughts) but this newest episode basically confirmed it for me.
I think that the only thing keeping Roman from tipping into Dark side territory was the fact that Roman thought he was Thomas' hero. But when Roman said: "I thought I was your hero..."
(At which point I was in tears), Thomas replied with: "You... You are!". Notice the hesitation in his voice. So, Roman turned to Janus, as if to ask: "Is he telling the truth?" and Janus nodded, confirming for Roman that he wasn't needed by Thomas anymore.
Now I don't think he'll duck out. Roman isn't the kind to run from a problem as seen in MOVING ON 2/2. So instead he'll be the orange side.
Now don't leave now let me explain.
I think his name will be Romulus. Matching with Janus and Remus. He'll represent self-hatred. In Roman mythology (Yes I dug deep) Romulus and Remus worked together. They were literally twin brothers. Romulus was known as the hero. He built a city for refuge and to help the less fortunate. Though Remus had other plans. Remus jumped over the city wall and ended up literally getting killed by Romulus (Or one of his supporters) But, in the story of Cain and Abel (Which was an example Remus used) Cain (Remus) Killed Abel (Roman) in cold blood. Cain was punished by The Lord with an eternity of being unable to grow crops and was then banished.
Remus was banished from the lightscape (Perhaps)
But like, Romulus built a wall. Perhaps the wall between Dark sides and light? And Remus jumped over the wall. HE LITERALLY JUMPED OVER THE TV IN HIS INTRODUCTION. THEN HE BASICALLY MURDERED ROMAN. (CAIN AND ABEL)
I'm sorry it just feels good to see everything come together
Anyways, continuing with my theory, I don't think Janus will be a light side. I don't think there'll be lights and darks. I think Remus will be accepted and this will drive Roman mad. He'll become Romulus and be the lone "Darkside" Because he doesn't want to accept his brother and Janus.
Though in Thomas' Livestream, he did say Roman would be okay. But was he saying it from Character Thomas' pov or his own I-
Anyways. This jumble of a theory might be right, might be wrong. I have no idea of knowing.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
