Trinity's POV, btw unless I say otherwise the majority of the story will be in her POV

'I'll get chosen one day' they said 'you'll be happy here' they said, what a lie, I'm the longest lasting orphan here, I've been here since I was 3, no memory of my parents, it's been seven years, I doubt I'll ever get out of this bloody place, not only is this orphanage a hell hole but secondary school is like a prison.

"Trinity come on down and eat with everyone, you can't keep yourself holed up in there all day" one of the workers says, knocking on my door an annoying amount of times "fine, just stop knocking on my damn door already" I reply, grabbing some clothes and changing out of my pyjamas before heading downstairs to eat with people I never get close to, not after my best friend got taken away, her foster parents had forbidden her to contact any of us.

After everyone had finished eating and we were let out of the dining hall I made my way up to the library, no one goes in there often so it's the perfect place for some peace and quite to read the few things that interest me. Just as I sit down with the book someone comes into the library and leans on the chair behind me "Ew, you're reading those books again? Why don't you read something that's actually good like Twilight, or are you retarded" it was Jamie, she's a few years older than me and has been here nearly as long as me and she's always had something against me. I close the book and stand up from the chair "sorry for not having the same taste in things as you, jeez go bug someone closer to your age. Thanks to you I'm no longer in the mood to read" I put the book away and go to walk out of the library "the fuck did you say?! Hey! Where the hell do you think you're going bitch!" She grabs my shoulder, her fake nails digging in, almost drawing blood "you heard me, and I'm going to my room to be away from you." I shove her hand off of me and push her away, she stumbles and nearly falls as I walk away and quickly reach my room, closing and locking the door, I lay down on my bed and fall asleep, dreaming of a world where it wasn't just humans and animals.

A few hours later I wake up to knocking on my door "Trinity, are you awake?" It was Mia, one of the workers who was assigned to me when I was originally brought here "I am now Mia, what do you want?" I sit up on my bed, still half asleep and groggy from being woken up "I have some good news for you, may I come in?" At that I get up and make my way to my door, trying not to trip over the mountain of books on the floor of my room,once I get to the door, which took longer than it should have, but who can blame me, I was half asleep so stop judging me. I unlock the door and hold it open for Mia to be able to come in, once she's inside I shut my door and sit back on my bed "So? What's this supposed good news?" I look at her and wait for an answer "There's a family that wants to foster you" "oh my holy flying potatoes, it's about time!" "But-" "But? But what? What's the huge depressing side to this Mia?" "You're going to have to live in America..." "oh... so I'll never be able to see you again?" "No... but... here" she hands me a small notepad "my number is in that notepad for when you get a phone, I'm most likely always going to have this number, but just in case my home phone number is also in there, so feel free to get in touch with me when you get a phone" she says solemnly "I'll never forget you Mia, other than Snow, you've been my closest friend, even though Snow can't contact any of us" we both smile and laugh "You might want to start packing stuff, they're coming to take you back to America tonight" I nod and shoo Mia out of the room. "Now how am I going to fit all of this into my few suitcases..." I say to myself as I look at the mess of a room I have.
