《PROLOGUE》

lmage of baby Sanato☝☝

PLANET FERVAIN, 26 YEARS AGO
King Proden was a proud man but today his ego was inflated by the birth of his heir. He had planned for it to be publicly announced immediately after his son was born. He smiled, his eyes glistening with pleasure and pride that his wife was big as a boboa with his son embedded deep inside her womb. Boboa were similar to what those primitive humans called whales.

He looked around his castle as he walked to the birthing room. The servants were running around like headless chickens, placing everything accordingly on the tables. Numerous state representative and all important people would be dinning with his family tonight to celebrate the addition of the new member to the crown family.

Both moons were visible tonight as if to celebrate the birth of the Almighty Fervainen heir. Even the tall, giant trees outside danced in joy and the wind howled joining in the harmonious melody nature was singing for the long awaited prince.
He ran up the steps like a man on fire. From afar, he heard the echoes of his wife's screams as she demanded for his presence during the birth of his son. As if he would miss it! Today was the day which the Goddess Omario was blessing him most kindly and not even the demons of hell and his numerous enemies could keep him away from this. The miracle happening today was one his people would be talking about for the next coming years.

He opened the door and found his wife sprawled on the bed. Generally, Fervainen men were big, larger than most men on the other planets but Proden was a giant. His massive structure dominated the room, crowding his wife and the doctors present. Intelligent machines had been developed with the purpose of reducing infant mortality rates.

Highly qualified doctors and these machines worked hand in hand in maternity wards to ensure that no child died at birth. These machines provided unimaginable expertise and knowledge about such an important event as the birth of a child.

He sat on the chair next to the bed leaning forward to kiss her on the lips. It was a small peck on the mouth, a kiss meant to reassure her and thank her for the gift she was giving him.
"How are you feeling, my queen? Do you want the nurses to give any pain medicine?"

He asked as he watched his wife writhe in pain.

She had a very small body structure and carrying a baby with Proden's genes was no joke. The past ten months had been the longest months of her life. Fervain women carried their babies for a full ten months sometimes eleven depending on the bloodline of the parents.

In her case, because she was pregnant with the king's son- one who had pure undiluted Goddess blood flowing through him- she had a long and painful pregnancy.

She shook her head signaling her answer as tears streamed down her face. She was trying to deal with the next contraction that wrecked her body. Proden kissed her on the forehead whispering sweet nothings to her. It seemed to work because for a moment she stopped moving and her breathing calmed down.

Suddenly she let out a blood curling scream and gripped Proden's hand in her small one. If he hadn't had the Goddess' blood flowing in his veins she would have crushed him.
Panic stricken, Proden's head pounded harder than ever when the machines around them started beeping loudly and the worried faces of the doctors stared down at his howling wife.

Through the small opening of the blinds, he saw the sky darken as the moons disappeared behind the clouds as if to hide in shame about the next coming events. The night blackened into a scary state and he knew deep down in his heart that this was a sign of doom.

He frantically turned around, yelling both at the doctors and machines to do something. They moved around the room checking on her then recording on their sheets. They hooked and unhooked the wires sticking into her quivering body. She shook so badly it was like she was having a seizure.

"The baby is coming! I can feel him pushing me from the inside." Oria screamed as she started pushing. She was fully dilated at that time. She pushed a couple of times until the loud baby cries filled the room. Gasps echoed as the nurses saw the bloodied bundle in the doctor's arms.

"Noo! It cannot be. Please Goddess, let this be only a bad dream." Came a moan from Proden as he watched the screaming baby.

His eyes had to be deceiving him and any time from now he would wake up and all this would go away. It cannot be real! I refuse it to be real! Let this be a hallucination, he pleaded to the Goddess.

The queen started screaming again that she felt like pushing once more. The doctor gave the bloodied baby to one of the nurses as she went forth to help her queen deliver her second baby. This one was a boy.

THUD! That was one of the nurses fainting.

The poor nurse was very spooked her body was unable to keep up with her mind. The second child was larger than the first one and he did not cry as loud as his sister. The nurses went on to wash the babies and brought them back to their parents.

Oria grabbed the baby girl to her breasts rocking her slightly as tears rolled down her cheeks. She kept murmuring something into the little girl's ear. It sounded like a mantra or spell.

"Please Proden. Please don't kill my babies. Don't let our love die like this. I beg you. Please!" Oria begged, her voice husky and wavy from all the crying and screaming.

"Give me the child Oria," King Proden demanded in a voice that rebuked any contradiction. It was the very same one he used to warn off his enemies or anyone who was getting on his nerves that their death was near.

"Sire, plea...," the doctor who had delivered the children interjected on behalf of her Queen.

"Be quiet!" Proden yelled at the scared doctor. His face was a dark musk of anger which was reflected by the flames burning in his eyes.

"No! No! Please...stop!" Now Oria's pleas had morphed to screechy screams. She wept painfully when Proden ripped the baby girl from her arms. Her body was shaken by violent tremors, her eyes red and mucus flowed down from her nose. She tried taking her baby back but she was too tired to even raise her arms.

Proden walked to the door with the girl in his arms then turned to say, "take care of my son. Make sure no harm comes upon him." Then he was out of the room leaving his sleeping son and wailing wife behind.

His face was a cloud of anger as he walked out of his castle to the chapel. People stared in horror at the little girl in his arms, pointing and mumbling that it was an abomination and it would bring misfortune to the nation. Twins were unwelcome and first born girls were just unheard of. They were rejects of the Goddess and were killed immediately after birth.

For past thousand years, many first born girls had been killed because their bodies were unable to receive able and handle the power their fathers would pass on to them. They would either die during the transfer rituals, perishing with all the family power thus they were killed after birth.

He entered the chapel, closed the huge steel double doors then knelt in front of them and cried his eyes out. He wept to the Goddess, cursing and pleading her to take care of his little princess. He felt guilty for his blasphemous behavior towards The Mighty One yet at the same time he felt betrayed by her for allowing such a thing to happen to him. When he had cried himself dry, he continued up the aisle to the offerings table.

This table was where animal gifts were placed when being presented to The Great One. It was very big with scented candles surrounding it. These candles were placed on its borders and were always kept burning. He laid the beautiful princess on it then removed the amulet on his neck and placed it around hers. It had been a gift from his wife on their wedding day and he treasured it. This amulet was also a teleporter and it would take her anywhere in the galaxy.

"This amulet will protect you my little princess. It will take you anywhere you desire and keep you safe." He kissed her tiny mouth and her forehead the continued to say, "I don't know where you will land or if l will ever see you again. All l want you to know is that daddy loves you. Always. May the Goddess be with you." He rubbed the amulet and slowly the baby started disappearing.

"Goodbye my little Sanato, my little warrior." Those were his last words to his daughter before she was gone for good. The Great Warrior and King of Fervain broke down and cried for his little Sanato.
