"Yamete, Otousan! Even if I have seen him, I know he did not mean.it!" Yurin told his angry father. After he said that, his father's grip on his neck went tighter.

"LIAR! Where is that vampire, Yurin!? Tell me!" he yelled.

Echizen had just come by near his room when he heard Yurin is screaming and someone is hurting him inside his room. He was meters away from it but he already quickly felt the urge to rescue a friend of his. He doesn't know what's truly happening but he's totally sure that he felt that his childhood friend is in danger. He quickly ran to rescue him.Yurin kept his mouth shut as his father kept interrogating him if ever he already found Echizen Ryoma. He kept lying he never had seen him again but his father knows he is lying.

Keido Shima, Yurin's father kept torturing his son just to spill what he knows. "I know you know where he is!" he screamed.

"I don't know!" he answered back.

He lost his patience. He was at the act of striking his own son's shoulder when Ryoma pushed the door strongly. Keido Shima put his son down and smiled, "So, he decided to appear before me to save a human friend of his!" He took his gun loaded with silver bullets.

Ryoma's eyes turned red and he quickly managed his shield to cover his whole body to protect himself from his attacks. "Forgive me."

"Like I would accept that! You're a disgusting vampire! You are no different from the Level Es!" he said. Shima pulled the trigger but when it reached his shield, it quickly shattered to pieces making him angry.

Echizen quickly ran quickly beside him and took his knife away from him and took Yurin's right arm. "Let's go Yurin!"

Yurin hesitated at first but Ryoma kept pulling him away from his room that night. "I've got to protect you." Both men kept running away that night to escape from Keido Shima. Shima kept following them and he did not stop firing at them. Their insticts kept telling them to run even it was very dark. It was full moon that night and the only thing the boys can do is to run away from their attacker. Their feet directed them at the dark forest. As they were running, Shima doesn't stop following them and shooting them even he knows that Echizen's shield shatters it. He knows that in every bullet that reaches him, it drains Ryoma's strength, making him lose his ability to protect himself.

He was right. As Ryoma and Yurin kept running, he can already feel very tired and exhausted but they need to keep running or else they're dead.

Ryoma stopped when his shield faded away. "Yurin, leave me alone!" he told him as he kept panting.

Yurin stopped when he heard him say that. His eyes widened and screamed, "CHIGAU!!! I WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE!!!" He took his arms and they kept on running. Shima took that chance to kill him. He ready another set of bullets. He released three bullets at the same time. While Echizen and Yurin kept running, he quickly felt that he was shot after he felt warm blood gush out from his back making him more and more tired, weaker and thirsty for blood.

He chose not to drink Yurin's blood but that made his chest hurt badly. Surprisingly, his great grandmother came to save them.  When Shima felt her fierce aura, he was overcome with fear. He chose to hide first.Echizen Ryoma felt really cold again. He was drowning with his own blood and it slowly made his vision fade. He doesn't know how long they've run already but he knows he can't move anymore.

"Leave, Yurin," those were his last words until he became unconscious again.

Yurin cried out to him, "Echizen, wake up!!! Echizen!"

Without him knowing, Miyaki carried him out of the forest. While they were walking, Miyaki assured him, "He'll be fine, Yurin. You musn't worry about him."

It was three o' clock in the morning when Nanako heard someone knocking. Of course, after opening the door, she was so surprised to see her cousin's back's seriously and severely bleeding.She quickly took him from her and laid him inside his old bed inside his room in their house. She used her phone to call for a doctor but Miyaki told her at the second floor, "He'll be fine. We just need to wait for him to wake up. He'll be very thirsty and so, he'll need to drink my blood to heal his wounds."

Nanako calmed down and cried a little, "Why is he always in danger since he became a vampire?"

Miyaki sadly looked at her eyes, "Gomen ne... It seems I brought my own descendant to live a hard life... Nanako-chan... you can sleep now. You musn't worry." After they have left, Yurin went inside his room and covered his back with bandages to stop the bleeding for a while.The next day, Ryoma woke up and of course, he felt too thirsty for blood. He recognized the room where he is and knew that he's back at his small, old room. He wasn't used to it already since his room in Cross Academy's huge.

His back is covered with bandages but it still hurt too much... He wanted to get out but hesitated when he thought that if he do, he might attack his parents.

Miyaki gladly smiled when she already felt her grandson have woken up already. Rinko and Nanjiroh were both worried at him but of course, Miyaki assured them that he's fine.

"I can't help but wonder, Miyaki-sama, why are they angry at him? You said that there is a person who's accusing him of killing his son," Nanjiroh asked.

She folded her arms as they were walking upstairs. She answered him, "Ryoma knows whatever he did before and he deeply regrets it. He doesn't like it but he had done that due to thirst and he can't control it yet but now, he can. It's all thanks that he accepted Yumiko in his life."

When they are already there, they found Ryoma trying to ease his pain through the blood tablets out of his bed even he knows he can't take them without melting it. He gulped it agonizingly and hardly. Ryoma still felt his body's weak even after he had drank a tablet.He felt his chest's aching so much. He was about to fall again when Miyaki moved closer to him and screamed, "What are you doing?!!!"

"I do not know you're here," he weakly answered back.

Akari Miyaki looked at him bitterly. She embraced him quickly and tears fell out of her eyes. Ryoma's parents became more worried at him after seeing the amount of blood he lost after they've seen the blood stains on his old bed. Ryoma's vision slowly goes away again and so, she panicked and told him, "Ryoma, drink my blood! I know you're having a hard time breathing right now due to thirst."

Ryoma nodded and pushed himself nearer her neck but before he sink his teeth, he asked his parents to go out for a while, "Can you go? I don't want you to see me drinking grandma's blood."

"Are you shy that I'll see you drinking Miyaki-sama's blood? Heheh... was it disgusting?" joked his father. Ryoma has no time to get annoyed, so, he struggled to laugh but his mother knows how difficult he's currently experiencing.

Rinko pulled her own husband away from his room by holding his right ear painfully. When they are already gone, Ryoma quickly sunk his teeth at her neck. He drank her blood as much as he wanted just to satisfy and ease his pain and thirst. He knows that his grandma (who still looks very young) won't die just by drinking her blood. After a few minutes, when he's already satisfied, his exhaustion stole his strength and he went unconscious again. His wounds and thirst truly made him weak.

She laid him back at his bed and wrote a letter to Kuran Kaname. When she finished, she tied it on her pigeon's right leg and let it fly to bring to him. He believes he has the right to know whatever is truly happening. She had already finished her own investigation regarding about Yuuta's death and with that she knows that a greater danger will soon come.

When Inui, Eiji and Oishi have arrived at the Vampire Hunter Association's Base, they were surprised that it wasn't hidden anywhere. The truth is, it appears that the Japanese government knows about them and the secret society of Vampires.

They observed that the place was huge and elegant. There were diamond chandeliers and glass decorations around the hall where they were waiting for Freia Ellanor.

When the three are told to seat down at the black bench, Freia finally appeared at them. After she introduced herself, she finally told them about why she chose them, "Your trainings will start soon. We want you to do your best to capture Keido Shima and his elder son. We knew that they were the traitors who murdered Yuuta-kun, so, I want you to understand that we chose you because you're the only ones who has a hunter blood in the old Seigaku Tennis Club which were close to Echizen Ryoma and knew about Akari Miyaki-sama."

Eiji grinned and jumped, "It's fine! I'm actually excited."

Inui held his glasses and stared at her completely, "We only have 25% hunter blood in our veins."

"That's true but..."

"What's the reason, Freia-sama?" Oishi asked.

Freia revealed to them, "We believe Keido and his son are being controlled by someone we still don't know."

The three of them were surprised.

Miyaki's letter did not reach Kuran Kaname when it rained badly. The pigeon carrying her letter decided to rest, it landed at Fuji Shuusuke's place.

Shuusuke had just finished cleaning himself when he noticed the pigeon lying at the open window.

He went closer to it and noticed that there's a paper tied to it. He took the paper and started reading it. His eyes widened with worry and panic after seeing Ryoma's grandmother's words.

Kaname.... you did not kill Frances. The 'Frances' we saw was only a carbon copy of her body.

Ryoma's life is still in danger...

She wants Ryoma's power and devour him...

When he already finished reading it, he was so surprised. He knows he has to bring that to Kaname at once. He dressed up his Day Class uniform and told his sister that he's leaving. He decided to go back at Cross Academy and bring that alarming news to the vampires at the Night Class dorm.

Everyone in Cross Academy became very worried at Echizen Ryoma and Keido Yurin when they realized that they were both missing.

Tezuka, Ryoga, Kaname and Yumiko were the most alarmed that afternoon when they realized that. They were all looking out for the both of them when Kawamura saw Fuji coming from the entrance of Cross Academy. He was panting a lot after he finally got back.

Kawamura took his things and lead him inside the Day Class Dorm to rest. "Where are the others?" he asked him inside his room.

"They were looking for Echizen and a young boy. Actually he's missing. Inui, Eiji and Oishi have been called to be trained as vampire hunters. Inui left that message to me so I can tell you," he said.

Fuji opened his eyes and accepted it. "Kawamura-san, we have to go where Kaname-san is. I found a letter addressed to him and it tells an alarming news."

Of course, he was surprised but he lead him at the Night Class Dorm's wall is. When they found a small passage, they sneaked in and told the strange guardian that they are bringing a letter for Kuran Kaname.

Akatsuki found them walking outside their dorm trying to look out for Kaname and so, he approached them. "You know this place is restricted and only the vampires are allowed here except for a few chosen humans. Why are you here?"

Fuji did not smile rather looked at him seriously. "Kaname-san and Yumiko-chan should know about it first. I came back after my brother's burial at my home. After I cleaned off myself, I found Miyaki-san's pigeon and a short letter is addressed to Kaname."

Akatsuki sighed and accepted his explanation. He guided them around the place but before they get inside the dorm itself, Kaname appeared to them making them stop.

"Akatsuki, why are those humans here?" he asked.

Akatsuki scratched his head and told him, "They want to give you Miyaki-sama's letter."

Kaname stared at them and said, "So, where is it?"

Fuji handed him Miyaki's letter and after he finished reading it, the three of them witnessed that his eyes were overcome with rage. He lost control of his power again making a window shield shatter.

Fuji and Kawamura were surprised by what they witnessed and felt his burning anger.

Yumiko ran after her brother to know what was happening after she saw he lost control of himself again but when she looked at the letter and read it too, she cried. Akatsuki snatched the small paper they held and he was definitely shocked and worried for Echizen.

"Everyone should know about this!" Fuji told them.

"Only the vampire society and the hunter's society should learn about this!" he told the two of them.

"That's ridiculous!" Fuji screamed.

"Do you want Tezuka Kunimitsu and your other friends to face death like your brother???" he screamed to them. Everyone froze after that question.

Kawamura answered him, "We may be mere humans but we are Ryoma's friends and senpais. We care for him like a little brother to us. How do you care about him? Is he a mere servant and lover to Yumiko-chan or you care about him as you care for your sister?"

Yumiko's currently crying beside them but she managed to stare at her brother's serious and sad expression. It was her first time to see it again after Yuuki died. He spoke to them seriously with his eyes full of loneliness, "Then I will allow you but just as what we planned, if his human friends intend to help us out in destroying a troublesome pureblood, you will only be staying around him!" he told them.

Fuji and Kawamura thanked him. They were assigned by Kaname himself to tell everyone about the situation.

...

That night, Kaname and Yumiko went out of Cross Academy at the Echizen Residence. Rinko welcomed them and guided them upstairs but as they were going up, the three of them did not mean to overhear private revelations at Ryoma himself inside his room.

Back up inside, Ryoma clutched his hands and told her, "I'm only a mere Level D, Miyaki-sama. She wants you and my mother. It's not me!"

"It was but when she saw you and witnessed your power through to her fake body, she wanted to take you so that she can overthrow the Kurans and get her revenge," she told him.

Yumiko knocked and opened the door shocking Ryoma himself. She ran at him and hugged him tightly, "Mamoru desu!!! Watashi wa anata no mamorimasu!!!"

Ryoma saw her crying and held her in place. Ryoma hugged her and promised her that they will be safe and never to be separated again.
