That same day, the Seigaku nurse adviced Coach Ryuzaki to tell Echizen Ryoma's parents that he will be staying in the clinic overnight. She quickly told them about the nurse's decision and so, Rinko and Nanako volunteered themselves to look out for him.

Miyaki still came with them even they keep telling her not to come. They came in the clinic while Sakuno and Yumiko are taking care of him.

Echizen kept holding Yumiko's hands as he kept sleeping. He doesn't want her to leave him.

"Why wouldn't he let me go?" she asked.

Miyaki answered her, "His mind may not recognize you but his heart does."

Yumiko's tears started to fall. "I... I can't watch him in pain anymore! I wanted him to remember everything but I know it's too risky! Why would Yuki-oneesan said everything's not ended yet?"

No one can answer her but when Kaname went inside, the atmosphere went darker after he told them, "Don't trust the nurse. She has the eyes of a traitor and so, when I came here, I quickly interrogated her. She's a traitor, Miyaki-san, Yumiko-chan," he said.

"What do you mean?"

"We've got to move him away from Toma Kira's two apprentices.."

Kuran Kaname quickly felt her presence, closing and so, he quickly carried Echizen's body and flew off the window.

"That's exactly why I'm here. Yumiko, lead the other two into safety. I'll be fighting a tough opponent," she said.

"So that's why you wore your very old, white kimono, mother kept," Rinko said. "You are prepared for a battle, isn't it?"

Yumiko quickly grabbed Rinko and Nanako away from that place. They followed his brother but Level Es blocked their way, luckily, Akatsuki, Hanabusa, Tsukiko, Rima and Ruka came to help them. That's when they found out that he's already fighting another aristocrat.

"Who are you?" he asked. The blue-eyed man pushed Kaname away from his shoulder. Kaname pulled out his katana from its scabbard and started attacking.

The two purebloods doesn't even know that the aristocrats Toma Kira trained and even Toma himself were not the real ones who wanted Echizen so much. It was another pureblood by the name of Frances, an American Vampire.

As all of the purebloods including Miyaki fought aggressively against them that they have forgotten about Echizen who was left sleeping in the bench near the tennis court.

Echizen woke up by a pureblood's song in front of him. He looked at her and wondered who that gray-haired lady is. She stopped singing when she noticed that he already opened his eyes and is looking at her.

He stood up and walked closer to her unconsciously. Akatsuki saw that what was happening after he had killed many Level Es. He tried to stop him from going to her but it seemed the pureblood woman pulled Akatsuki away from him until he was very near her already. The clouds revealed  a red full moon. Frances started singing again.

Wake up, sleeping prince,
Remember your forgotten past...

As Echizen kept hearing those repeated words, he can't help but feel the pain in his head. He kept seeing fast flashes and disorganized images of his past...

He was screaming so hard that made Kaname and the others hurry up. The aristocrat told him, "You all didn't guard him well!"

Kaname quickly cut his head off before he attack him. After that, he quickly decided to run to save Echizen.

Open your eyes to the truth...
The pain won't last...
With just one bite...
Everything will go away!

Frances went closer to him, held his chest and bit him on his neck. Echizen's eyes turned red quickly. His past as a tennis player and a vampire slowly came back in his senses but the pressure was too heavy that he quickly fainted after his last scream. Frances held him and waited for Kaname to come and at the same time, killed the aristocrat Miyaki is fighting with.

When Kaname came, he knew he was too late to retrieve Ryoma.

"Forgive me but I'm borrowing the slowly, awakening Level D. It will be more fun if he slowly die for me to take my revenge against Miyaki-san!!!" she told them.

"Get away from him! He's my son!" cried Rinko-san.

Frances pouted, "Oh, that's sad but even you say that, I won't give him back to you!" Suddenly, they disappeared after she stepped in a smoke bomb. "SON!!!" cried Rinko.

The next day, Echizen woke up abnormally thirsty. His eyes were still very red and his lost memories that were coming back in his senses still pains his head.

Frances went inside her torture room in the abandoned church and there he was, bound by individual chains at his wrists and ankles, making him unable to move.

"You're thirsty, right?" she asked.

Echizen was really surprised. "Let me help you. Drink my blood," she offered his neck to him.

Without warning, Echizen drank her blood as much as he wanted and after that, he finally remembered everything. Cross Yuki offered her life to save him but still, he was still in danger of dying because of so many enemies his grandmother had long before.

"Who are you?" he asked.

Frances is smiling as she is playing with her curly, gray hair. "I'm Frances. I dispatched Toma Kira to kill you but he lost. My real job is to kill Rinko and your great grandma next but it seemed a Kuran saved your life. I should torture the youngest first, right?"

"Just torture?"

"I have no intention killing a Level D," she said while smiling.

"Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?" he screamed.

"My only goal is to torture you while waiting for your grandma who stole the man I love and that's your human great grandfather!" she screamed. Her sharp nails like knife, pricked his shoulders. "You are unlucky that you are her vampire descendant. That's your only sin!"
