I shall now adult stuff

(I don't know exactly what times Muslims are supposed to pray to just pretend they did when needed)

"ALEX! WAKE UP!" Magnus yelled as he banged on the door.

Alex Fierro groaned as he got out of bed and unlocked the door to his hotel room. He was male today, he could feel it.

Magnus came bursting through. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY IS?!"

"What happened to 'good morning?'" Alex muttered as his boyfriend ran around screaming. "Um, National Annoy Alex Day?"

"No!" Magnus smiled and began jumping up and down on his toes. "It's September 16!"

"Yeah, my sister's birthday. I know." (It never said Samirah's birthday, I used a random generator)

"But it's her eighteenth birthday." Magnus said, and waited for it to kick in.

Alex's jaw dropped. "OH. MY. GODS."

"Yup!"

The two boys ran around the hall, waking everyone up and telling them. Then the 5 proceeded to wake up everyone on Floor 19.

It was pure chaos.

At some point, Alex had called Blitz and told him and Hearth to come. They were also very excited.

Finally, Samirah came. She looked so happy. Definitely more happy than her 16th or 17th birthday.

Alex ran up and hugged his sister. "Happy Birthday!" He exclaimed. "How does it feel to be able to legally marry Amir Fadlan?"

"Amazing and terrifying." Samirah replied, returning the hug.

"I woke everyone up." Magnus said. "I told them it was your 18th birthday, which meant you were old enough to get married."

"Everyone freaked." Helgi added. "Including me."

"When's the wedding?" T.J. asked

"I don't know." Samirah said, "Hopefully soon!"

"It better be." Alex said

"Happy Birthday!" Magnus said, followed by Hearth and Blitz.

During a party, (which wasn't originally planned, but Helgi insisted once Magnus told him that Sam could get married) Samirah pulled Alex aside.

"Alex, could you come with me?" she asked

"What's up?" Alex asked

"My family is hosting a dinner with the Fadlans. You want to come?"

"Yeah, Sure. But I don't think anyone will like the birthday girl ditching her own birthday party."

"Please," Samirah said sarcastically, pulling her hijab over her head. "They're Vikings. And this is Hotel Valhalla. It'll end with everyone killing each other."

Alex looked back at the crowd. "Good point. Let's go."

The brother-and-sister duo walked to Yggdrasil, found the Midgard door, and walked through it.

The popped up in the middle of Boston. No one even glanced at them.

As they walked to Samirah's house, people glared and shot looks at Samirah, but Alex just gave them his famous "death stare" until they looked away.

"Alex..." Samirah whispered. "Let's just go."

"Fine." Alex said, shooting a final glare at a man who was narrowing his eyes at Samirah. They made it to the al-Abbas residence and walked inside.

"Samirah? Is that you?" Bibi called from the kitchen, "Did you bring Alex?"

"Yes!" Samirah replied

Overtime, Jid and Bibi had accepted Alex as part of the family. At first it was awkward, Alex explaining that he was Samirah's half-sibling on her dad's side. They had made up an excuse that Alex grew very slowly, and it took a while for him to age. But know they knew him as family, not an outcast.

"What took you so long?" Jid asked, "The Chase Space isn't that far away.

Samirah's eyes widened.

"We got distracted," Alex came to the rescue "Some kids needed help with something."

A few minutes later, dinner was ready. A few minutes after that, the Fadlans came. Alex, Samirah, Bibi, and Jid greeted them.

(We are going to pretend that Amir has a little brother and sister. In The Sword of Summer, Samirah referred to Amir was Abdel's eldest son, meaning that he could have younger siblings. Cue me looking up Arabic names.)

Abdel and Amir came in first, followed by Amir's younger siblings, 14 year old Rayan and 12 year old Giaa.

"Happy birthday, Samirah!" Rayan exclaimed, along with Giaa.

Abdel smiled and said, "Happy eighteenth birthday."

"Thank you all!" Samirah replied excitedly.

Samirah turned to Amir. Her stomach flipped and she squeezed Alex's hand. It's been years, but the feeling she got around Amir Fadlan would never change.

"Um, Happy Birthday Samirah." Amir said

"Thank you." Samirah said with a smile, and blushed.

"Oooooooh!" Giaa said. Alex looked at her and nodded in approval.

"Come on, dinner is ready!" Bibi said, leading them to the dining room. Rayan and Giaa protectively sat on either side of Amir, making Sam sit across from him.

Alex then quickly slid next to his sister.

The adults sat and they began eating falafel. (Please what else do I put?) They weren't as good as the Fadlans', but they were still good.

"We can never tell Magnus about this." Amir said, taking a bite of falafel.

"Never," Samirah agreed. "He'll kill us."

"Who?" Rayan asked

"My boyfriend," Alex said. "His diet consists of only falafel."

"Ha!" Rayan said.

"By the way," Giaa said, "Amir has been gushing over you all day. It was a little annoying, to be honest. He was all like, 'It's Samirah's birthday today! She's finally turning 18! I'm so happy for her!' And then a 2 hour rant about how beautiful you are."

"Giaa!" Amir said, his face turning bright red. Samirah also blushed and looked down.

"It's been the same with Samirah," Alex said, not helping at all. "Actually, all the time. Your the only thing she talks about." He said to Amir. "Like, ever."

Samirah may as well have been a tomato.

Abdel, Bibi and Jid, watched the 4 kids and chuckled.

"We need to discuss the wedding." Abdel said, interrupting Samirah and Amir's who-can-blush-harder contest. They perked up, making Alex laugh softly.

"When will it be?" Amir asked

As they discussed wedding formalities, both Amir and Samirah with big smiles on their faces. (And with smirks on Giaa, Alex, and Rayan's faces)

"And then, of course, we need to talk wedding outfits for the bride," Bibi said, "Assuming Amir picked his outfit."

"Yes, we did." Abdel said

"I'LL HELP!" Alex suddenly blurted. "I mean, I'll help pick a dress for the bride. I'm good at that."

"Better you than me." Giaa said

"Ok!" Jid said, clapping his hands together. "So, Alex will take Samirah to Blitzen's Best sometime this week, and than we'll have the wedding in a month."

"Good," Samirah said, glancing at Amir. "Just one more month."

"Just a month." Amir said, smiling reassuringly.

First chapter! Hope you like it. Yes, the next chapter will be Blitz and Alex dragging Samirah around making her wear a lot of wedding dresses. Thank you for reading!!
