KAZENOSUKE

"What do you mean Kazenosuke's ran away? This must be some type of joke."

"Yeah, fam," Terrence had agreed to Janette's statement. "He would never do something like that."

Destiny, Candi Rose, Kerazin, Janette, Calista, Valentina, Trevor and Terrence were all sitting down on a sofa in Destiny's sitting room, with Destiny explaining the whole situation to them.

Whilst they were sitting down though, Destiny in the meantime was walking around in circles, with everybody's eyes literally following her- left, then right, then left then right again.

And so on and so forth.

Due to time constraints, she had only sent Kerazin the letter that Kazenosuke had written to them, but nobody else.

"Guys, I ain't joking, man. He wrote us this letter."

After saying that, Destiny had then given the letter to Calista, as she was right in front of her, with everybody crowding round Calista to read the letter simultaneously, except Kerazin as he had already read it.

It honestly would have been much less time consuming and easier if Calista or someone else in the room had read the letter out loud for everyone to hear, as some people were much more slower readers than others- which had caused a lot of problems especially when Calista wanted to flip over to the next page of the letter.

When everybody had read that, Janette had then given the letter back to Destiny, who had then indirectly called Kerazin, Trevor and Terrence by saying K, T and T, but they knew who they were.

"Do you guys know Kazenosuke's whereabouts? I'm asking y'all this because I know that you guys are the closest to him and everything."

Apparently, according to Trevor anyway, Kazenosuke had gone to two places the most.

- Thugs & Drugs
- Same Difference nightclub

Thugs & Drugs was a place in the far east of the UK where drugs had normally been sold, and it was also kind of a place where thugs had hung out as well, hence the name.

Kazenosuke's cousin Santana was the owner of the place and he was like 25 now, with Kazenosuke being 18 instead.

Him and Santana were real close, so he could have usually gone to the place without asking any time he wanted to do so.

Or if Kazenosuke had decided not to go to Thugs & Drugs, then he would have gone to the Same Difference nightclub instead.

But due to the terrorist attack there the other day, as well as Destiny pepper spraying Kiandre which had eventually led to his death and all that, the kid wasn't really planning to go back there anytime soon, even though he had gone there like every week.

It had just brought up way too many bad memories.

Bad memories that Kazenosuke could have never gotten over either.

"So is that it then?" Valentina wanted to know. "Just Thugs & Drugs and Same Difference?"

"Well, there is this one other place," Kerazin had told everyone, with Terrence winking at him in the far distance when Kerazin had kinda unconsciously looked at him. "But if we tell you guys, you'd probably freak."

Everybody had asked him where it was.

But Kerazin had just sighed instead.

Then after a while, a really long while.

He had told them.

Rakim's house.

The girls especially had freaked out when they had heard that, with Kerazin just sighing because the thought of Kazenosuke going missing had worried him and kinda scared him at the same time.

William Michael Griffin Jr., better known by his stage name Rakim, was an American rapper and record producer.

One half of golden age hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim, he was widely regarded as one of the most influential and most skilled MCs of all time.

"Kazenosuke knows Rakim?"

"Yeah, Calista," Terrence had told her, looking straight at her. "We all do. He's Kazenosuke and Candi's uncle."

So it was settled then.

One group was going to go to Rakim's house.

The other group was going to go to Thugs & Drugs instead.

"And if he's not in any of these places?" Candi Rose trailed off.

"Nah, Candi Rose," Trevor had replied to her, shaking her head. "These are the only places that Kazenosuke would go to in times of trouble. He could have also gone home, but I don't really think he's finna do that now 'cause of your mum's passing and everything. Maybe he doesn't wanna think about that."

He wasn't over his mum's passing.

But he had kinda thought about it less.

It was kinda predictable though.

Although it was still really devastating to think about but even harder to forget about.

Candi Rose wanted to go to Thugs & Drugs, and so did Valentina really, but apparently it wasn't on Google Maps because the place was illegal so they had to use a SatNav instead.

Candi Rose, Valentina, Terrence and Janette were going Thugs & Drugs and the rest of them (so Kerazin, Destiny, Trevor & Calista) were going to Rakim's house instead.

This had happened over a few disagreements because Destiny didn't want to be with all boys (no offence to them) & Valentina didn't exactly get along with Trevor, no offence to him.

************

"Can you believe Kazenosuke has the audacity to run away like that?" Calista fumed. "Like, who does he think he is, huh? Doesn't he realise how worried we all are?"

Their group was driving to Rakim's house now in Kerazin's sister's car, with Kerazin driving.

They had been doing so for like fifteen minutes now, and whilst the boys were at the front, the girls were at the back instead.

Destiny was sleeping on Calista because she was tired, as always... with Calista just kinda ranting to both Kerazin and Terrence about the fact that Kazenosuke had gone missing without telling anyone.

She had been doing so for like half of the journey, and it was really starting to do the boys' heads in.

Of course Kazenosuke wasn't going to tell anyone that he had run away, why would he?

He just really wanted some alone time to himself, but he didn't exactly know how to tell anyone this (without potentially offending them) so therefore he had just kept his mouth shut about it overall.

"Chill, Calista," Trevor had complained. "Your ranting is getting me vexed. Kazenosuke was seriously depressed, and I don't blame him. Imagine losing three of your loved ones. That sucks. It really does."

He had then turned over to Kerazin, who had been seemingly driving on the same road for years and years now.

"Kerazin, are you sure you're going the right way?"

"Yeah. Why'd you ask?"

He wasn't using a SatNav or anything because apparently the kid somehow knew the way to Rakim's house from Destiny's house (before today), but no questions were asked on how or why.

It wasn't like he had even driven to Rakim's house from Destiny's house before, because he didn't. He didn't even know that the two of them were related until very recently actually.

Either way, Trevor had told him that he had been driving on the same road since, with Kerazin just telling him back that all of the roads had looked the same (in his defence though, they kinda did) and that they were taking an alternative route.

Because he had gotten kinda lost before.

When Trevor had heard this, he was absolutely furious, ranting at Kerazin for ages.

"What do you mean you got lost before?! You didn't tell us that! You said you knew the way!"

"I thought I did but I don't. And there was a lot of traffic on the other way, which I realised so therefore decided to take an alternative route."

Goodness knew where they were now.

Because even Kerazin didn't know that.

This was exactly like the time when Trevor had gotten Kerazin & Destiny lost...

Although this time was worse because...

A) there were more people involved

And B) If Kazenosuke had died or he had had something bad happen to him, then they would have all been held responsible for that for not finding him on time.

Whereas with Castellaneta's death, no one was responsible for that. No one had given her tuberculosis or anything- it had just kind of happened naturally.

The worst bit wasn't that they were lost though... the worst bit was that as Kerazin was driving, a very dark skinned thug in a hoodie had come up to him, pointing and cocking a gun at him through the window which Kerazin had winded down.

He didn't even realise that the road he was in was full of thugs everywhere, and they were now surrounding his car like crazy.

When one of them had told all four of them to step away from the vehicle, otherwise they would have been killed (all of them), that was when Calista had told Destiny to wake up once and for all.

Speaking of Destiny, the reason on which these thugs were threatening to kill them was because not only were they on their street.

They also knew that Destiny was responsible for Kiandre's death, and apparently, they all knew Kiandre (they were there at his funeral but were obviously not dressed as thugs).

"Look, man. This is all a misunderstanding. Destiny didn't kill Kiandre by accident."

"Don't give me that, Kerazin!" The thug pointing the gun at him yelled. "If it wasn't for this witch then maybe Kiandre here might have still been alive!"

That was true, it really was.

But how was Destiny supposed to know all of a sudden that pepper spraying Kiandre would have killed him?

She didn't.

Kerazin and everybody else were surrendering now, as putting their hands up and everything, with Calista kinda whispering to Destiny that she should have sorted this out with this thug before any of them had died.

The worst thing was that they were really far away from Thugs & Drugs right now (like an hour or so or something) plus the thugs had kinda forced them to give them their phones so that they wouldn't have reported them to anyone.

No one was surrounding them because everybody knew to avoid their street.

In fact, there was a huge sign saying Danger of Death! before Kerazin had entered this road, but his stupid self didn't see it, and neither did anybody else really because it was really high up.

Which was the issue.

They had probably made it that high up so that nobody would have seen it, and they would have died- malevolent but smart.

When Destiny had tried reconciling with the thug, he had just slapped her hard, with everybody on her side getting mad at that.

Trevor had slapped the thugs back, with everybody else joining in, but Trevor & Calista had died though unfortunately, after both of them had gotten shot.

It was over when the police had gotten involved, with Kerazin and Destiny literally just escaping death.

They ran and ran as fast as they could.

Leaving the car behind.

And the destination they had ended up in was some sort of deserted forest.

Were they going to find Kazenosuke back on time?

Only God knew.

Although he did say that he had no intention of dying in his letter.

But one really couldn't have been so certain about this.

Not really anyway.

They had just all hoped that worst didn't come to the worst.
