23| Damn, Dude. That Was Not A Smart Move. At All

DESTINY

"Whoa, bro. You OK? What happened out there, man? You look awful, no offence. Your eye is throbbing."

Kiandre had literally just gotten pepper sprayed by Destiny, after he had tried to kiss her. Big mistake.

He had asked her for a second chance, because his friends had kept on telling him that he had made a mistake rejecting Destiny, and now Kiandre had kinda felt they had been telling the truth the whole time.

Of course they were telling the truth.

Where were you the whole time when they had said that?

Just who did he think he was?

Rejecting such an angel like Destiny, and thinking that he were going to get away with that?

Of course not!

Kerazin had asked him just now if he was OK, because he was pretty much there when Destiny had pepper sprayed him.

She had left the scene with Calista following her because she was too embarrassed over what she had just done.

Kiandre had deserved Destiny pepper spraying him and everything.

But at the same time...

She had felt kind of guilty for doing that as well.

And thank God that no one was there when Destiny had pepper sprayed the guy because he would have literally been a laughing stock right now.

Everyone was outside watching two thugs fighting except Kiandre, Kerazin, Destiny, Calista and a few others because they had hated fights and the thought of drama had just made them sick really.

Even the security guards had watched the fight.

They had tried to stop it.. which was actually quite a stupid thing to do because that had just made them involved in the fight even more, almost getting beaten up and everything.

"Destiny just pepper sprayed me."

Oh please, stop acting like you didn't deserve it, bro.

Because you did.

Kinda.

The pepper spray had really hurt Kiandre's eyes as well. He had become partially blind because of it. He was starting to do so anyway: his vision was getting worse every second.

"I know that, Kiandre. But why would she do something like that? What did you do to her?"

"And what makes you think I did something to her?"

Kerazin rolled his eyes.

Before sitting on the table next to Kiandre because that was surprisingly more comfortable than the sofa chairs.

"Because I know Destiny. She wouldn't intentionally harm anyone unless they did something to upset her. Or unless she had harmed them by accident, perhaps. Though mainly the former."

No, Destiny wasn't that kinda girl that had seeked vengeance whenever someone had done something wrong to her.

Although there were some people that she seriously couldn't resist.

Like Kiandre.

And Kassandra.

But Kerazin was right though.

He had shockingly known Destiny longer than Kiandre did.

It was shocking because Kerazin was part of Kiandre's group of friends but some people in Kiandre's friendship group, Destiny was closer to than others, like Kerazin.

When Kiandre had explained why Destiny had pepper sprayed him, Kerazin was deep in thought about that for like twenty seconds or so before saying anything else.

"Yeah, I see the problem."

"What?"

"You kissed Destiny, you idiot! You tried to do so before she pepper sprayed you. Damn dude, that was not a smart move. At all. And I sure ain't kidding about that either. Your eye looks really bad, no disrespect."

Kiandre had absolutely no idea what Kerazin was going on about right now.

Apparently, one hadn't tried to kiss the person that they had rejected... it just wasn't right. Sane people didn't do that.

"But Destiny had given me another chance."

"Yeah, so?" Kerazin replied, face palming himself. "It's still wrong, man. Even I wouldn't do that, and I'm like one of the most clumsy people in this world."

He wasn't wrong.

Kerazin was that kinda person that had never really looked at where he was going.

Some people had tripped over things.

The guy tripped over air.

He had stacked a lot, as in when he was walking he would have nearly always fallen over because he wasn't really looking at where he was going.

But even clumsy old Kerazin wasn't stupid enough to do what Kiandre had done to Destiny.

"My eye hurts real bad, bro. What if I die, Kerazin? Some pepper sprayed people die in movies and all that."

Kiandre must have been watching something real weird then because Kerazin had not watched a movie or TV show where someone who was pepper sprayed had died.

Kiandre had told Kerazin to call the ambulance over his eye. He would have told Ephraim and/or Zainab about it but he didn't want Destiny to get into any trouble because of it.

No way was the ambulance going to Same Difference, as they knew how crazy that nightclub was, so Kerazin & Kiandre therefore had to find their way to the hospital instead, via Kiandre's car.

That wasn't really a bad thing though, come to think of it.

As in, Kiandre dying.

But yeah.

"You ain't gon' die bro, it's just pepper spray. And movies and all that rubbish are scripted. Now stop overreacting and let's get you to that hospital. We gotta do it discreetly though, 'cause we don't want people asking questions."

Whilst both of them were pretty much on their way to the hospital, Destiny in the meantime was sitting down by herself in one corner of the nightclub, deeply thinking about what she had just done.

Sorry. It's kinda weird talking to you now because of you rejecting me and everything.

About that. I kinda wanted to talk to you about that actually. If you don't mind.

What do you want, Kiandre? I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now.

A lot of people have been telling me that I had made a mistake rejecting you, and I'm starting to realise they're right, actually.

So if you don't mind... I'd like to be your future boyfriend, maybe? Both of us aren't allowed to date right now but we can always wait, right?

OK, but under one condition.

What?

To stop keeping malice with her friends.

I don't keep malice with them.

You do, especially Esmeralda. She took that video about you down on Instagram, by the way, because she felt guilty. Unblock us when you get home, all of us & maybe I'll consider it.

That was their conversation in full. Without any of their actions and all that. Just speech.

Why'd you pepper spray Kiandre, girl? He didn't deserve that. What if he dies because of you?

Calista had followed her but despite this, she couldn't have found her anyway, so she was still pretty much looking for her basically.

Whilst Destiny was alone, Kazenosuke had kinda noticed her, so therefore he had gotten quite suspicious as to why she was sitting by herself.

She wasn't exactly watching the fight and she wasn't exactly in the nightclub either, so something was definitely up, and Kazenosuke wanted to find out what it was before it was too late.

"Yo, Destiny. What are you doin' out here, girl? It's freezing cold."

Destiny hadn't realised that Kazenosuke was there, although when she had seen him, they had hugged each other because they were actually pretty close.

It was kinda strange really.

Destiny was close to majority of Kiandre's homies, but not actually Kiandre himself.

So it hadn't really made much sense to her as to why she had had proper conversations with Kiandre's homies before, but not actually Kiandre himself.

But then again.

She had liked Kiandre romantically, but not any of his friends. So it was therefore probably easier for Destiny to talk to his friends more than Kiandre himself, as she had no sort of feelings for them or anything of the sort.

"So a girl can't sit down by herself without any of y'all getting suspicious?" She teased.

"You can," Kazenosuke smiled, sitting down right next to her. "But I mean you ain't exactly in the nightclub right now, and you ain't exactly watching the fight either, although it's finished now. So what's going on?"

Kazenosuke doesn't know that I pepper sprayed Kiandre, and I don't want him to know that either because they're crazy best friends.

If he finds out, he'll be mad at me for life.

Destiny had seen Kiandre and Kerazin secretly rush out to the hospital on her way to where she was right now, which was exactly why she had felt even more guilty over what she had done, constantly beating herself up about it as well.

Whenever she had had the chance to anyway.

Completely lying about this, mainly because she didn't want Kazenosuke to be crazy mad at her, Destiny had just simply told the guy that her shoes were hurting her really badly, and that she wanted to take them off.

Kazenosuke had completely understood this, although he was kinda very confused as to why Destiny would wear something that wasn't even comfortable for her, before telling her that he was heading inside because it was cold outside and everything.

Then he had pretty much asked Destiny the worst question of all time:

Hey. Have you seen Kiandre and/or Kerazin anywhere? They said they were coming to the fight but they didn't show up. I've tried calling them and everything but they ain't picking up. I'm getting real suspicious now.

Destiny had freaked out madly when she had heard that, her heart beating real fast.

She had to lie to Kazenosuke, whether the dude had liked it or not.

"Uhm, yeah. Check inside of the nightclub."

Pfft.

Yeah.

Or the hospital.

Luckily, Kazenosuke couldn't really detect that the girl was lying, so he had therefore smiled at her before doing the thumbs up sign at her and walking off.

Destiny had sighed a huge sigh of relief to herself when that was over, literally about to call Esmeralda so that she could have gone home.

But then there was Calista, who had just found Destiny after a couple of years.

Not really.

Although it didn't seem that way.

Calista was very terrible at finding people.

And she was also one of the slowest people ever.

No, Kiandre & Destiny don't get back together. Although Destiny still feels extremely guilty over what she has done. Yeah she gave him a second chance & everything, but that's pretty much blown now after she had literally just pepper sprayed him :/
