☆ DESTINY ☆
For some crazy reason, that Destiny still didn't know or understand too for that matter, her friends (besides Calista because she actually had common sense) decided to help Destiny with her make up & hair before she had put on what she was going to wear to Same Difference tonight.
They had also agreed to help her curl her hair, and now the four of them were just waiting for Destiny to get herself ready, in order for them to go to the nightclub they had all been looking forward to since the start of the day.
Destiny was initially against her friends doing her make up and hair before she had gotten dressed for Same Difference tonight, but her friends didn't really want to hear it.
They were caring and all, but at the same time, they could have been so ignorant.
Destiny was initially against wearing make up but she felt as though she couldn't really have gotten the message across to her friends so she had ended up wearing them.
Right now?
Gosh, she was really taking her dang time.
It was probably because the girl didn't even want to go Same Difference in the first place, but her friends didn't listen to her.
Either way, Esmeralda, Calista, Valentina and Janette were becoming beyond fed up due to how long flipping Destiny was taking getting ready.
"Destiny, girl, hurry up!" Janette called. "Y'know, I'm starting to think you're stalling now and it ain't fair!"
"Pfft, girl is there any point telling her to hurry up?" Esmeralda wanted to know. "We've been telling her this for nearly twenty minutes now and she hasn't listened to us once."
Esmeralda was seriously one to talk about not listening to people.
When back at McDonald's & Esmeralda wanted to make that video dissing Kiandre about rejecting Destiny, Calista and Janette kept on telling Esmeralda to not do that, but she didn't listen.
And when she wanted to hurt Kiandre in real life for rejecting Destiny, her friends had tried to stop her, but Esmeralda hadn't really listened again.
Destiny probably would have taken a much shorter time if her make up and hair weren't done before she had gotten dressed.
Either way, nothing was smudged on her dress, mainly because she was wearing those dresses with a zip that one could have worn from below and not the top, if that had made sense.
Likewise, the top she had worn before she had moved the dress had buttons on it, which Destiny could have removed without the top covering her face.
After what felt like ten minutes but was really only twenty seconds, Destiny came out eventually, looking as beautiful as ever.
One might have wondered what the heck Destiny's dress had looked like.
Here:
But it was long sleeves instead, whilst simultaneously being a tad bit longer than the one in the picture, though either way, it had the same design.
Destiny absolutely hated wearing high heels, so she was wearing purple matching flats instead, like Esmeralda.
Destiny looked absolutely stunning when she had headed out, causing her friends to sing:
Girl I know you from somewhere, maybe
Really, I'm lying
But you know I just want your number, baby
Seeing the look in your eyes
Girl you know that you're done for, done for
Done for
Cause we both know the answer
You better 079 me
079 me
079 me
And at the end of that, they had all started laughing hysterically.
"Chica, I'm telling you, girl, you look absolutely amazing!" Valentina admitted truthfully, everyone clapping when they had heard that. "Look who stepped up!"
Janette & Calista had kindly offered to maybe cut the long sleeves off for Destiny & cut the bottom of the dress because it was too long, but Destiny had refused because:
a) They really didn't have enough time to do that. The queue to Same Difference was usually mad long, so obviously the later they had arrived there then the worse as the queue usually lasted for twenty minutes or so.
And
b) They had already made enough decisions for Destiny, and Destiny honestly didn't want them to make any more.
Destiny felt awesome, to be honest.
She didn't even want to wear what she was wearing right now because she hated nightclubs & all that... but even she had to admit.
She flipping rocked.
"Y'all look amazing too."
"Not as stunning as you, sis!" Calista told her again, checking the time on her imaginary watch. "Ooh. We best get going. Esmeralda's Cadillac won't drive itself!"
Saying that, all four of them had left Destiny's room- minus Destiny because she needed to get something.
Whilst Calista & Valentina were on their way downstairs (though they had to hide because Denise didn't exactly know that Destiny's friends were there), Janette and Esmeralda in the meantime had realised that Destiny wasn't with them, so they had waited for her by standing outside her room door, but not actually going inside.
Nobody had time to go inside.
"Yo, Destiny," Janette called, cupping her hands around her mouth in order for Destiny to hear her properly. "You coming?"
Destiny was coming, yeah.
She just needed to get her jacket.
When Janette & Esmeralda had heard that Destiny wanted to get her jacket, they had freaked out a bit, asking the girl if she was insane, because it was July.
"A jacket?" Janette repeated. "Seriously, girl? It's lowkey July. You don't need no jacket."
Destiny had rolled her eyes comically when she had heard that, whilst smiling a bit as well, with Esmeralda muttering that she couldn't have said it better herself, whilst she had high fived Janette before folding her arms.
"I know it's July but, girl, please. You know how cold it is when it gets dark. I don't want to risk anything."
Janette and Esmeralda had watched Destiny get her jacket, staring at each other and concurrently shaking their heads.
The thing was.
Destiny wasn't even wearing a leather jacket or a jeans jacket or anything.
It was a winter coat, kind of like what Kiandre had but in black instead of light brown.
Esmeralda had frankly found it quite suspicious that Destiny suddenly wanted to wear a coat. Maybe she didn't even want to wear a coat, but because Kiandre had worn a coat at Richard Gold, that had made Destiny kind of want to wear one too.
Unless she was genuinely cold.
"I bet you be wearing a coat 'cause Kiandre wore one earlier," Esmeralda realised. "I thought you said you were over that dusty old rag."
"I never said that," Destiny corrected her, pointing at her. "And I can't just get over Kiandre straight away. Just give me some time."
A long time.
How long would it have taken Destiny to get over Kiandre?
Oh yeah.
About... thirty minutes.
Or thirty years.
She loooved him.
And for some reason, Kiandre rejecting Destiny had made her like him more and not less. Not more enough to like spam the guy asking for another chance or anything, but more enough to keep thinking about him.
He wasn't even worth it in the first place, but Destiny didn't really take that into consideration.
Maybe that quote was right: absence had made the heart grow fonder.
That was definitely true all right, Destiny physically could not stop thinking about Kiandre. Although things would have been weird at school but it didn't matter.
School didn't start for like another one and half months.
As both Janette & Esmeralda had gotten kind of tired of waiting for Destiny (again), they told her that they would have met her outside.
They were taking the back way because Denise didn't know they were at her house, and hopefully, she wouldn't have found out that they had taken the back way either.
As Destiny was about to leave to follow her friends, she was held back when she had seen her younger sister Priscilla standing there, smiling at her.
Priscilla was Destiny's younger sister by only two years, so she was the same age as Sekani. Sekani didn't really like her either though.
Sekani didn't really like anyone in Destiny's family to be blatantly honest... until now due to the deal he had made with Valentina.
"Hey, Destiny."
Destiny didn't even realise that Priscilla was there, as she was too busy getting out her purse to do so, and when she had seen her sister there, she had freaked out a little bit before saying anything else.
"Oh my gosh, Priscilla, you scared me!" Destiny said, hyperventilating like mad. "Don't do that again."
"Sorry," Priscilla replied- she had a tendency to enter people's rooms without consent, even if people told her stop doing this, she had still done this anyway. "Anyway, how are you?"
Destiny was about to say something but stifled it when she realised that Priscilla hadn't finished talking yet.
"Actually; don't answer that. I heard Kiandre rejected you. It's his loss, boo, so don't worry too much about that guy. You're an amazing girl.. and sister too for that matter, and if he can't see that, then joke's on him."
When Destiny had heard that, she almost cried but didn't, as instead she had hugged her sister tightly, saying thank you, baby girl! to her.
Priscilla was mad nice.
Even when someone was rude to her, she was still nice.
Everyone in Destiny's family were genuine people... besides Treyvonetta (their younger sister), who was very sassy for her age.
Destiny had told Priscilla that she had limited time, also asking her younger sister if that was all she needed to say to her.
"Yeah," Priscilla answered, smiling. "Although... come to think of it. Something else has suddenly gotten my curiosity."
"What?" Destiny wanted to know, becoming suspicious when Priscilla unexpectedly started making circles around her, like she was a judge & Destiny was in court or something.
Though Destiny didn't even know why she had asked that.
She knew what Priscilla was going to ask her.
Where are you going?
And she did.
Kinda.
Indirectly.
"I know you're up to something," Priscilla continued, uninvitedly sitting down on Destiny's bed without her consent. "Would ya like to spill?"
Crud.
If Destiny had told her that she was going Same Difference tonight, then she was practically dead meat.
