Werewolves
I was getting ready for a hunt while Dean explained the situation. "The victims had large claw marks across their chest. They suspect a bear or something killed them, but it's to planned. 10 dead in the last few months, always on full moons" Dean looked up at me and I nod. "Werewolves. We've dealt with them before, I think we can handle it" I said. "It's seems so planned though. They aren't usually this smart" I shrugged. "We know how to kill them, we'll be okay" I assured him as I made sure my gun was loaded before I stuck it in my jacket. "Ready?" I asked him. He nodded and I looked over to Sam. "Sammy?" He mumbled a response before following us out to the 1967 Chevy Impala.
We made it there in a few hours. I slept the whole way so Sam shook me awake. "Pip... Hey get up" my eyes fluttered open and I rubbed the tiredness out of them. I could hear Dean getting the stuff out of the trunk. "Morning sunshine" he chuckled and I just rolled my eyes.
I climbed out of the Impala and walked around to the back. "All filled with silver bullets" he handed us our guns. I fiddled with mine in my hands. "Let's get these fuckers" Dean smirked and Sam nodded, smiling widely.
It wasn't dark yet, the sun was just setting when we made it about halfway down the path. "Get ready guys" Dean said quietly.
I pulled out my gun and pointed my flashlight into the trees. I was walking in the back, Dean in the front, and Sam in the middle. Man that was a bad idea.
Soon it was pitch black, the only light was the full moon and our flashlights. I could hear noises in the bushes and I ran up to catch up with Sam. "Do you hear that?" I whispered to him. He looked around and listened before he nodded. I fall back behind him a few feet before I hear a loud crunch behind me.
The next thing I know, I felt large claws scrape down my back. I let out a cry of pain and surprise as I almost fall down. I turn around, but realize I dropped my gun and flashlight. I feel claws go across my face and stomach, causing me to let out another cry pain as I clutch my stomach. I managed to choke out, "Sam! Dean!"
I heard footsteps and gunshots as the thing scampered away with one of the boys on its tail. I could only guess Dean. The gunshots continued until a loud thud was heard. My ears rang from the gunshots and my stomach, back, and face hurt from the scratches. I couldn't stand anymore. I fell back into someone's arms before falling unconscious.
I woke up in the motel room. Of course. I thought as I went to sit up, but whimpered as my back and stomach radiated pain. "Pip?" I heard a voice say- more like choked out. "Huh?" I looked next to me and saw Sam, his eyes red and puffy. He'd been... Crying.
"Sam?" I mumbled due to the pain. "Oh thank god you're okay" he hugged me, careful not to cause anymore pain. "I told you she would be okay. This girl is a fighter" I heard Dean's voice say from my other side. His eyes weren't as red as Sam's. "Doesn't look like you were so sure..." I chuckled as I hugged him. He pulled away and wiped his eyes profusely. I smiled.
"So... How bad is it?" I asked. They look at each other before Sam looks at me and Dean looks at the ground. "Pretty bad... We were really worried" I nodded. "Looks like it" Dean looked up. "But it looks like it will just be another scar to add to the pile" we all chuckled.
I looked over at same with a curious expression. "Sam...?I was about to wake up when you said something... What was it?" His eyes widened. "It's nothing... Not important..." Dean had gotten up and smacked him when he walked by. Sam glared at him. "I have to go get some water and food... I'll be back soon" Dean looked at Sam with a look I couldn't name.
"Sam... What did you say? It must have been important. Dean wouldn't have just left us if it wasn't" he looked down at the ground and back at me. "It's nothing... Not as important as you being okay! I still can't believe it" I look down at my bandages around my stomach and back. "Damn. He got me good" I mumbled. I remembered my face and my hand flew up. I felt a small bandage on my left cheek.
"You need rest... Go to sleep. I'll go get Dean" Sam said as he stood up and walked out. I still wondered what he had said, but never found out. I only heard Sam and Dean talking about something the next day. Dean sounded annoyed with Sam but I didn't ask.
4 months had passed before I ever knew what really happened that night.
I was sitting on a motel bed, looking at my computer and newspapers as well as Sam and Dean's Dad's journal. Nothing was popping out to me but I kept looking, mostly at the journal. It had some interesting stuff in it, and I made a point to remember some of it.
That's when Dean barged in, startling me. "Holy shit Dean, what's the issue? Where's Sam?" I asked worriedly. "He's over at the library. I gave him some work to do so I could come talk to you" I was confused but watched as he sat on the bed across from the one I was sitting on. I turned to face him and raised an eyebrow. "Talk to me about what? What's so important you had to ditch Sam?" I asked.
"I can't not tell you... that thing Sam said on the night you got really injured by that werewolf-" I nodded. "-he told me not to tell you but it's eating away at me" I just stared at him. When I didn't say anything he continued. "He said... He loved you. And if he lost you he didn't what he would do" my jaw dropped slightly. "That's what wasn't 'important'..." I mumble to myself. "And he liked you for a long time before that..." Dean added. I just sat there dumbfounded. "R-really?" I stuttered. Dean nodded. I looked down at my hands, and studied them, trying to comprehend what I had just been told.
"What do I do?" I asked quietly as I looked back up at Dean. "Tell him you like him! You know he likes you back. Hell, he even said he loved you" I couldn't believe it. "That was four months ago Dean-" he cuts me off. "He doesn't stop talking about it. Not one day goes by where he doesn't mention it to me. He wondered what would have happened if he got to you sooner, he feels like it was his fault. He wondered what would have happened if he just told you what he said" I stared at Dean. "I'll send him down here and say you have something to say..." Dean got up and quickly left before I could have stopped him. I sighed. "What do I say..." I sat there for about 15 minutes trying to figure out what to say when the door to the motel room opened and Sam walked in.
My breath hitched in my throat, making it hard to say anything. Luckily, he spoke first. "Dean said you wanted to talk?" I nodded. "Don't be mad at him but Dean told me everything that happened that night that werewolf injured me..." Sam looked furious, then embarrassed, then his eyes widened as he looked at me.
"What did you say...?" He says quietly. "I didn't say much but-" he cuts me off. "but you don't like me right? I should-" I cut him off. "You didn't let me finish! But, I couldn't believe you liked me. All those times I thought of saying something... You would have said yes" I said, looking down at the floor. The floor creaked as Sam walked over. He put a finger under my chin and made me look at him. "You liked me too?" He asked disbelievingly. I nodded. He smiled widely before leaning down to kiss me.
The door opened and I didn't even notice until I heard Dean say. "That's my boy" I put my thumb up as I continued to kiss Sam. Dean laughed and Sam pulled away. "I love you" he whispered, pushing a strand of brown hair behind my ear. "I love you too"
