0 1 0 " Until we meet again "
"You're going?" Nia questioned.
"I have a lesson, can't miss it again." I wanted to sigh at the thought of having to go back to school again. "I'll see you, yeah?"
"Have fun," She said and I returned her genuine smile. She looked happy, not as pale as she had when we were with Damon and Stefan.
I took my bag and threw it over my shoulder before leaving the door. Just as it fell shut a familiar voice scared the hell out of me.
"Back to school?"
I spun around, startled, and was met with a familiar pair of blue eyes.
He was leaning against the wall next to our dorm door while Stefan smiled at me from the other side.
"Did you have to scare me like that?" I asked and dramatically placed a hand on my heart.
"I knew your reaction would be funny," He shrugged with his usual smirk.
"Thanks," I rolled my eyes but couldn't help the grin from creeping up on my face.
"We came to say goodbye," Stefan said with a somewhat sad smile.
"Where're you going?" I asked confusedly.
"We don't know yet. But we have to leave. There's been too many....animal attacks, the police's onto something," He explained. "It's for the best,"
"Wanna walk?" He asked and I nodded. We hadn't know each other for more than a week, but hell; I'd miss them.
"So this is it? I'm never gonna see you guys again?" I asked as we walked onto the front yard of the Uni.
"No, this isn't it." He sounded determinded. "We'll meet again. Who knows when or where, but I bet we'll run into each other again at some point in your lives,"
"Only that I might be eighty and all wrinkly while you guys will still look like super models," I pointed out with a grin.
"Possible." He smiled. "The point is, this isn't a goodbye. It's an 'til we meet again'."
I stood facing them, the sun in my back. They were amazing people. They were murderers, but they were fun to be around. The constant bickering, the peace making. It was annoying, but it was unforgettable.
"Well then, Salvatores: until we meet again," I smiled at them and held out my hand.
Stefan looked at it for a split second before pulling me into a bone crushing hug.
I placed my chin on his shoulder. "Thank you," I mumbled. "Both of you. I might not be here if it wasn't for you. I owe you,"
"Yes, you do." Damon smirked at me but I had a feeling that it took him some effort to keep his eyes emotionless. I kinda hoped it did.
"I'm gonna miss you," I pulled Stefan a bit closer to me before letting go and smirking at Damon.
"Come here, you big baby," I grinned and pulled him into a tight embrace. It was awkward, but at least Stefan's presence made it a bit better.
"Try not to care too much," I told him. He chuckled lightly.
"And don't kill too many innocent girls, yeah?"
"Can't promise that," He finally hugged me back.
"Until we meet again, like my brother so eloquently put it," He grinned.
"Why do I feel like that's a threat?" I glanced at Stefan.
"It's more of a promise," Damon smirked.
"A promise that we will meet again," Stefan said.
And in that moment, I believed them.
In one twisted way or another, fate would bring us together one last time.
I just knew that this wasn't it.
