1. Confusion
!!This entire first chapter would be in third person. After this chapter, I'll be going back to writing in first person!!
"We need him."
"We do not need him!"
"Yes we do!"
"Are you seriously siding with her?"
"What is that supposed to mean!?"
Five cloaked beings stood in a circle in the middle of a large chamber. All five of them were easily above the average height of a human, and all of them were extremely powerful.
One of the beings removed it's hood to reveal a woman with blue eyes and blue hair that fell past her shoulders. Her beautiful face was currently twisted into a scowl as she glared hatefully at the being standing directly in front of her.
This woman was Thalassa, the Primordial of the sea.
"Listen Aether, we do need him. Are you really content with letting Perseus destroy this world?" She hissed.
Aether, the Primordial of Light, pulled down his hood to match the glare that Thalassa was giving him. "You think I want Perseus to keep doing what he's doing?"
Thalassa opened her mouth to respond when someone snapped "Quiet. Now is not the time to argue about this."
One by one, the other cloaked deities removed their hoods. Along with Aether and Thalassa, there was Hemera, the Primordial of Day, Eros, the Primordial of Love, and Ananke, the Primordial of Fate.
"Perseus had been blessed by the other half of the Primordial council with the exception of Pontus and Ouranos. Every demigod who had tried to oppose him ended up either dead or enslaved."
Ananke snapped her fingers and a throne made out of black marble appeared beside her. She settled down on it, a grim look on her face.
"What about that son of Hades? What happened to him?" Aether demanded as he crossed his arms across his chest.
"He tried to raise an army to fight Perseus, but he was defeated. Keep up, airhead." Eros teased the Primordial of Light.
Aether's eye twitched as a yellow spear that hummed with energy appeared in his hand. "What did you just say? Aren't you the airhead here?"
"Put your weapon away before I make you." Ananke snapped, her fingers gripping the armrests of her makeshift throne. Hemera sighed and shook her head, her face full of disappointment as she gazed at her husband.
Aether hesitated, but after receiving a murderous glare from the Primordial of Fate, he made the spear disappear. Grumbling, he stuck his tongue out at Eros, who merely smirked at him.
"Back to the important matter on hand, Thalassa, Eros, Hemera and I all believe that we need to bring him back to life." Ananke said plainly. "You can throw a tantrum for as long as you want, Aether, but we need him."
Aether ran a hand through his hair as he scowled at what Ananke had said. She was right, they did need him.
"Yes, I know. Don't worry, I'll save my temper tantrum for later." He grunted.
Ananke, along with the other three Primordials, smiled victoriously.
They were going to bring Leo Valdez back to life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leo was sitting near the lake, gazing at his reflection in the water. He grimaced as he remembered what some of the dead demigods had told him about what was going on with the people who weren't dead.
Percy, attacking Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter.
Percy, overthrowing Olympus and imprisoning some of the Gods and demigods with Zoe Nightshade as his Queen.
Percy, defeating Nico Di Angelo along with the army that the son of Hades had built to oppose him.
Honestly, he was kind of glad he was dead already.
Leo mentally scolded himself as he got to his feet and headed back to his house. He was dead while his friends were suffering at the hands of Percy Jackson.
As Leo walked along a dirt path that led to his house, he saw a flash of white out of the corner of his eyes. The son of Hephaestus stopped and turned to look out at the lake he was just at.
There, on the other side of the lake stood a man. Leo was unable to see the man's face properly due to how far away he was, but he was able to see the two large white wings that sprouted from the man's shoulder blades.
"Okay. So now I have this weird angel dude stalking me." Leo muttered as he continued to stare at the man.
The man raised his arm and gestured at Leo to come over to him. The son of Hephaestus looked down at the lake that separated the two.
"Is he joking?" Leo wondered before he sighed and cupped his hands around his mouth. "Hey you, you winged chicken dude, you do know I'm dead and I CAN'T SWIM!?"
The man pointed at another dirt path that wound around the lake. Leo wanted to slap himself as he realized that there was another way to get to the opposite side the entire time.
"Congratulations Leo, you're an idiot." He grumped as he started to slowly walk towards the winged man. As Leo got closer, he was able to see the man clearly. He was a head taller than the son of Hephaestus, and his eyes were red. He had black hair and a bow was slung over his shoulder.
"You told me to come here, so I did. Now-" Leo yelped in surprise as the man suddenly grabbed him by the arm.
Leo's eyes widened in disbelief, staring down at the hand that was touching him.
Touching him. That shouldn't be possible, due to the fact that Leo was literally dead.
With a smirk, the man disappeared in a flash of white light, dragging Leo along with him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Leo and the man appeared in a large chamber with another flash of white light. The man released Leo and the son of Hephaestus fell to his knees, feeling his stomach churn.
"Wait. Am I going to throw up?" He gasped. That also shouldn't be possible, because one again, he was dead.
"It certainly looks like it. Please don't, that would be revolting." A female voice said.
Leo glanced up to see that he was surrounded by five people, including the winged man, and he could tell that they were all incredibly powerful due to their suffocating auras. Leo scrambled to his feet and blurted out "Who the Hades are you guys?"
The winged man looked amused while the others had less pleasant reactions.
"Who are we? We're Primordials, son of Hephaestus. Has being dead for that long affected your brain?" One of the female deities with blue hair and blue eyes snapped.
Leo's jaw dropped before he quickly dropped to a knee and bowed his head slightly. "I-I uh, I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"Cut him some slack, Thalassa." The winged man snorted. "I did technically kidnap him."
Before Thalassa could say anything, another female Primordial smiled and gestured for Leo to rise. He did as he was told, still staring at the five Primordials in front of him with disbelief.
"I'm Hemera, Primordial of Day. This is Thalassa, Primordial of the Sea, Ananke, Primordial of Fate, Aether, Primordial of Light, and Eros, Primordial of Love."
Leo's gaze focused on Eros, the man who had taken him from Elysium. The Primordial winked at him before focusing his attention on Ananke, who was sizing up Leo.
"Hm, less impressive than I had thought but he will do." She muttered, and Leo scowled at her. He wanted to say something, but he reminded himself that he was in the company of five Primordials, beings who were older and much more powerful than the Titans and the Gods.
"What am I doing here, uh, My Lady?" Leo asked cautiously. He was honestly so confused at why Eros had bought him here.
Ananke gave him a small smile before turning to look at Aether. The Primordial of Light had been glaring at Leo, but after noticing that Ananke was staring at him, he sighed and waved his hand.
The air shimmered and rippled until Leo could make out the image of a person. The person was sitting on a large throne, his arms crossed across his chest. As the image grew clearer, Leo's eyes widened as he realized that he was looking right at Percy Jackson.
The current King of Olympus looked bored out of his mind as he played with a bracelet that was wrapped around his right wrist.
"You know what's going on, right?" Ananke questioned, her attention back on the son of Hephaestus.
Leo tore his eyes away from the image and nodded slowly. He was starting to get an idea of why Eros had brought him here, and why the five Primordials were tolerating his presence.
"Good, you aren't stupid." Ananke nodded at Aether and he made the image of Percy disappear. The Primordial of Fate took a step towards Leo, who kept his eyes on her.
"Percy has corrupted this world. Ever since his Queen, that irritating ex-huntress, died, he became much more vile and twisted. He aims to have the entire world under his control, mortals and immortals alike. If this continues, he will accomplish his goal."
"Nico Di Angelo had tried to fight against Percy, but he was defeated. Now, he's locked away on Olympus, along with many other demigods that Percy had enslaved." Hemera explained. She glanced at Ananke before speaking once more. "We need your help, Leo Valdez."
Leo gazed at the Primordials in front of him with confusion. "You need my help? But you guys are Primordials, and I'm just a demigod! Hades, I'm dead!"
"You aren't anymore." Aether said gruffly. "When you were brought here, you became immortal. To put it into easier terms, we brought you back to life."
Leo stared at the Primordials for a few more seconds before he promptly fainted.
