This is an original fanfiction INSPIRED by the WWII historical-fiction book Salt to the Sea  by Ruta Sepetys. It should be noted that, however, this is NOT a WWII AU fanfiction.

INSPIRED and COPYING are two different things. If I say INSPIRED, then I am merely taking the idea and completely chaning into my own. COPYING is me including every single detail- from the character's back stories to the secrets they hold. I am not COPYING, so do not accuse me of doing it (unless Wattpad itself takes it down for copyright purposes).

As I am INSPIRED by the book- it is not necessary to read the book beforehand. I strongly recommend reading it for fun, but definitely do not feel obligated to read it before reading it before reading this.
