when melody answered the door, it was like she was an entirely different person. she was all smiles and polite with kyra. "what can i do for you?" she asked. even her tone was entirely different.

kyra started with a shy smile. "i was just wondering if you wanted to come over and watch a movie?"

melody crinkled up her nose instantly. "are your boyfriend and his friend going to be there?"

kyra nodded her head in response.

their neighbor didn't have to give it any more thought. "i would love to watch a movie with you and be friends. but...i don't want those boys anywhere near me. i don't believe in men. they're dishonest rats."

three more updates after this one and then i might go to sleep. there are two more hours until christmas though and i will try to stay up. i wont get any presents or anything, but i just want to hug my family and tell them that i love them.

so now im watching how the grinch stole christmas to try to stay awake.
