Okay, done with that.

This is a short story for Glitch's Council, a Kik Comp hosted by the first person tagged and co-hosted by the second. You should read their books.

Anyway, onto the story. The prompt is in the picture above the chapter. I apologize to everyone who's personality I didn't get right.

Salixia Caldera looked up from the screen of her laptop with shock on her face. The news that had just been sent around to the member nations of Glitch's Council was absolutely disturbing.

According to President Glitch's sources in addition to some of the new Communistic country's spies (Salixia's country, Scarlecombia, was the only one that remained of the original six), a rogue nation, Catryfa, had risen quickly before any of the remaining countries of Glitch's Council could do anything. And it sent threats of war.

Even since the betrayal of the past eleven nations (all had been nuked after the discovery of such) and the suspicion of possible others to follow, the remaining nations of Glitch's Council had always felt safe and secure. But if this were to worsen, that peace would no longer be guaranteed.

Salixia shook her head as if to clear her troubled thoughts. She was so terrified that something might happen to her nation and she didn't know what to do. Slowly, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and scrolled through the list of contacts. Her eyes stopped her when she saw the name of the former leader of what had previously been Nuketon. She felt a pang in her chest and her eyes started to water before she kept scrolling.

She reached her goal and dialed President Glitch.

"Hello?" She asked hopefully. Glitch's voice responded.

"I'm sorry I couldn't answer your call, I'm prolly getting murdered or something like that lmao. Leave a message at the beep. Thanks. Beep."

Salixia's heart sank as the voicemail recording finished. She scrolled up through the contact list and stopped at one of the first names. Ana of Xavaria. A leader of one of the other eight remaining loyal nations. She looked at the screen for a quick second and pressed the call button.

In that hour, she also called seven other leaders. Xavier of Germania. Sky of State of Nagleaf. Chipzy of Libertiña. Venn of Dracopia. Jessica of Jarmony. Blue of Aryan Republic. And Tech of Thefo.

In one hour, she made the most important alliance of her life.

They called it the Council of Nine.

Salixia quickly grabbed her enchanted diamond sword, as she and the other eight leaders had decided to sneak into Catryfan territory themselves and attempt to bring it down from the inside. She pulled her long black hair into a loose messy bun and put on her ninja suit. As she pulled the mask up to her eyes and stared at the mirror in front of her, she felt herself tremble in fear.

No Salix, you don't need to be afraid. You can do this. Salixia silently thanked her internal voice and braced herself for the challenge ahead.

She could've just walked down the stairs of her suite in her palace to meet her guests outside, but no, she decided to jump out the window. Obviously the better option.

She stood on her windowsill at the world leaders below and jumped. She flipped dramatically and landed in the middle of their circle with a slight puff of air to cushion her landing.

"Salix, you're here!" Ana shouted happily, speaking around the chocolate in her mouth. "Do you want some?" She reached down and pulled a Kiss out of her trench coat pocket to hand to her.

"No, but thanks for offering." Salixia replied. "I'm too nervous to eat." Chipzy reached over and plucked it from her hand, unwrapped it, and popped it in her mouth.

"I get that." Salixia turned around to see Sky had spoken.

"No need to show off the air powers." Venn muttered, though she didn't really look annoyed; she looked a bit more amused.

"Says the one with all the magic and mystical mumbo jumbo." Blue retorted with a smirk.

"It's not mumbo jumbo," Venn protested, frowning indignantly. "It's sorcery!" Xavier snorted. "Sure, whatever you say."

"Hush." Venn ordered the younger man. He burst into laughter, shaking as Blue snickered a little.

"We act like the teenagers we used to be." Sky observed with crossed arms. "It's fun, but it's childish, and not needed for when we have to fight Catryfa."

"There's always a need for that." She answered with a smile. The days when they had been just teenagers and children who were friends online had passed. Now, the same members of the RC were now members of the real version of what had been the Kik Comp, Glitch's Council.

"Hey Salix." Jessica walked up to her while waving.

"Hey Jessica." She replied, hugging the older woman.

"How have you been?" Jessica asked. "We haven't chatted much lately.

"You mean the country? We've been doing great, really great." Salixia answered enthusiastically.

"I meant, how are you feeling?" Jessica corrected her with a concerned look on her face. "It's only been a little while since the betrayal."

Salixia let her guarded expression fall for a second. "It's been hard. I trusted him and his country, I even loved him, but he betrayed us. Me and Scarlecombia and Glitch's Council. But I still miss him, and that's why I'm confused."

"I understand how you feel." Jessica told her with a quick hug. "I can't relate, but I understand how you must be feeling. It must be awful."

"Thanks for caring, Jessica." Salixia told her quietly, a tear falling down her face before she quickly wiped it away.

"Hey, that's what friends are for." Jessica and Salixia hugged again. "Now let's go defeat Catryfa."

"Where's Tech?" Blue interrupted. Venn stood next to him with Ana, Chipzy, Xavier, and Sky slightly behind.

"I don't know." Salixia said in confusion. "I called him, and he said he was coming."

"What if he didn't mean what you thought he did?" Venn suggested with a dark look on her face. Salixia gasped and put her hands to her mouth.

"You don't mean-?" She began and then cut herself off.

"I do." The sorceress answered. "And if he did, then we're in a hell lot of trouble."

"Attention, citizens of Scarlecombia." President Glitch's voice echoed over the entire country at once, everywhere from Higglesburg to Volcanistan. "The nation of Thefo has been expelled from Glitch's Council and is currently being nuked for charges of betrayal to the rogue nation Catryfa. I urge you all to stay inside until the nuking is finished. The situation will be dealt with. Until then, please stay calm. Glitch out."

"He... how could he?" Salixia choked out, gradually becoming more rage-filled than betrayed feeling. "How could he?!"

"I don't know, but we need to deal with this now." Sky said decisively. There was an angry murmur of agreement from the other leaders.

"Venn, teleport us to Catryfa!" Salixia yelled, pointing her index finger towards the sky. Venn rolled her eyes before replying, "This many people? I've never had to do that before; I'm not sure if my powers even extend that widely. If you feel like possibly dying, then yes, by all means, we can try it."

"Venn, you have to!" Jessica said desperately, grabbing the sorceress' arm. Venn pulled back, a little shocked.

"Yes, please Venn, we believe in you!" Ana shouted encouragingly. Chipzy nodded and pulled a knife out from her sheath.

"We have to get to Catryfa somehow." Blue pointed out. Xavier pointed at Blue. "What he said."

"Sky, you surely don't agree with them on this." Venn turned towards the only leader who hadn't said anything relating to the subject with a pleading look on her face.

"I'm afraid I do." Sky responded with a grave expression. "If Catryfa has managed to turn so many of our fellow countrymen against us, then we have no choice but to fight to defend ourselves. We can't lose another nation to them."

Venn sighed in resignation. "Fine. But if we all die, I'm blaming Salix." Salixia raised both arms and gave her an innocent expression.

Venn snapped her fingers and all of the leaders felt a weird squeezing sensation as they disappeared in a purple flash.

They reappeared in a modern office building. The walls were all hospital white, which made them a little uncomfortable.

"That was weird." Xavier observed. Everyone but Venn nodded in agreement. Most likely she was used to it.

"Alright, we're here. Now what do we do?" Salixia asked with her arms crossed.

"You guys go to our prison to be used as bargaining chips with Glitch." A female voice announced with a guilty undertone. The group turned around, and who had spoken shocked them all to the core.

It was Venn.

And she was followed by a large group of other people. At the front stood a medium height woman with long blonde hair and a cat perched on her shoulder.

"Vice President Ry?" Salixia asked in confusion. "You should be at the Tech House! What are you doing all the way-"

"Save it." Ry cut her off in a chillingly cold voice. "We know why you're here. Glitch sent you to assassinate me, didn't he."

"You- but- you're the ruler of Catryfa?" Salixia gasped in disbelief.

"Yes, was it not obvious given the 'Cat' and 'Ry' pieces of my country's name?" Ry questioned, tilting her head. "I feel like that should have been obvious."

Venn was standing with her right hand up and holding a ball of purple light. Salixia crouched lower and bared her teeth in a snarl. The other leaders tensed up, ready to pull out their weapons at any time.

"You traitor!" The words were torn from Salixia's mouth in a tone that was completely unlike her.

"We trusted you! And you're with them?!" Venn nodded her head in confirmation.

"You don't understand, Glitch is a horrible leader! He's destroying all opposition to his so-called 'cause' and playing them as 'traitors to the Council' when all he wants is world domination! He's using you!" Venn stood back, her face slightly scared of Salixia's rage filled face.

"You have nothing to say here." Salixia said, cold as stone, her voice magnified by hair air manipulation.

"Yes, she does!" Ry responded unexpectedly. "Your oh-so-glorious esteemed leader wants world domination, like Venn said. All of the countries that have been nuked are the ones who's leaders discovered his plans and were caught knowing. And guess what! None of their leaders are dead! They all escaped before the nuking. All of them are here with me; I have proof!"

As if on cue, all of the leaders of the former countries stepped forward. Richard of Arcaner. Cole of Saivetehwhailescommunisteditionihopethistakeglitchalongtimeforglitchtowriteperchapter. Alice of Fawkesia. Leo of Safyrus. Todd of Radish Land. Kelsey of Neoliberate. And Collin of Nuketon.

Salixia choked up as she saw the man she had loved before his betrayal and supposed demise. He started at her with no expression on his face, but his eyes held so much emotion. Joy. Sadness. Pity. Heartbreak. Longing. And everything in between.

The other leaders all backed down and lowered their weapons. Salixia stared at them in shock, her sword still drawn. "Why are you turning against me?! I can't believe you would do this! They're obviously lying! You're all delusional!"

Sky shook his head. "You stand outnumbered and still believe we are in the wrong. If anyone's delusional, it's you, Salixia."

"Maybe you should consider that Glitch could be the villain here." Xavier said apologetically.

Salixia's eyes began to water and she felt a lump in her throat. Shaking her head, she roared and used her air to speed run towards Ry, and she stabbed her sword deep into the ruler of Catryfa's chest.

Shouts erupted all through the hallway as Ry's body fell backwards. Blood spilled from the fatal wound. Ry struggled to lift her hand over her chest.

"You fool." She rasped, face contorted in pain, even that small thing clearly taking much effort. "You've just doomed us all." With that, her hand dropped and her chest stopped rising and falling as she died.

The sight of her old friend on the ground with her life bled out was heart wrenching, even she had to admit. Before Salixia could make a retort to her dead friend, she was interrupted.

"Thank you," a booming, familiar voice echoed through the entire building. "For making my job so much easier."

Salixia gasped and looked up to see none other then Glitch himself, surrounded my soldiers, the former dressed in his presidential uniform. His face held a smirk, but not like his usual smirks. This one was full of malicious intent and just evil altogether.

"You see, with this puny little rebellion out of the way, I'm free to use all of the force of my army to crush you eight's countries into submission. You all thought your citizens were killed in the nukings, didn't you. Well, I've been brainwashing them." Glitch continued, smiling maniacally. "Every. Single. One. They're all prepared to serve me, fight for me, even die for me if they have to. So I wouldn't recommend fighting back, for you're sorely outnumbered. And even if you did- these are your citizens, not mine."

"You said eight." Salixia pointed out, head spinning.

"Oh, I did indeed. Ms. Caldera, for your hand in helping speed along my work, you shall be my new second in command. You'll be by my side in every decision, every anything. Thank you for your service to Glitch's Empire. Soldiers, take all of them." With that, Glitch walked down the hallway and the soldiers handcuffed each of the leaders. Todd raised his head to glare at her and she dropped hers in guilt. Her former co-workers each gave her a look, and each one sent another wave of guilt sweeping through her.

Finally, Collin looked at her, and his face alone broke her facade. He looked away as the soldiers pushed him roughly along with the other world leaders down the hallway to wherever they sent prisoners.

Salixia walked over to Ry's body and knelt over it, sobbing loudly.

"What have I done?..."

Wow that got depressing. This was supposed to have a happy ending where the remaining members of GC defeated Ry and the evil Catryfa, but that's not where my imagination led me. Something told me an ending where everything goes terribly and she makes terrible decisions and it doesn't turn out all right whatever happens would be much more interesting and unexpected. Technically, they DID defeat the rogues...
