[12] fite me.

A/n:
Y'all this chapter is extra long (1545 words) since it's the LAST ONE :)

After they were both done with their ice creams, Taehyung started scanning his own shirt with his eyes.

"What happened? Are you checking if your stomach is happy?" Jungkook said, laughing at his own joke.

"NO. I was actually just checking if I accidentally stained my shirt..." Taehyung replied, eyes still on his own shirt.

"Oh. You could just wash it. What's the big deal?" Jungkook asked, not understanding the reason behind the elder's worries.

"No I can't just 'wash it'. This shirt basically costs more than the sum of the  worth of my apartment, and every single thing in it." Taehyung replied.

"Well I'm glad I bought you this shirt." Jungkook said without thinking.

"Oh why is that? 'Cause I'm a poor person and you did a good deed?" Taehyung asked, almost accepting his fate.

"No... No...'Cause I don't think anyone else can wear it better than you." Jungkook said, with a smug face on.

That totally caught Taehyung off guard.

He didn't say anything, instead he just continued scanning his shirt avoiding any eye contact with the other male.

After 5 more minutes of scanning and joking around, Jungkook glanced at his Rolex watch.

"Fuck. It's almost 1 am. Where do you live?"

"I live near the 23rd Street. Oh shit- Actually I should go by now."
Taehyung replied.

"Uh. Isn't 23rd that shady place... Does the taxi go till the footsteps of your apartment?" Jungkook asked, concern laced in his voice.

Taehyung was actually planning to take the bus, which normally stops two blocks away.

"Not really." Taehyung replied as he looked around for the nearest bus stop.

"What? God. I'll drop you okay. It's not safe." The younger blurted out.

"Dude. I'm a 22 year old dude." Taehyung said, with a 'fite me' look.

"Oh cool then, but- shit. I don't know how to tell this to you." Jungkook said, visibly panicking.

"What is it now?" Taehyung said as he rubbed his eyes, getting tired of Jungkook's jokes.

"Old guy in black is staring at you. More specifically your ass." Jungkook said as he leaned closer to the older.

Taehyung suddenly turned around as he moved closer to Jungkook, looking for the 'old guy in black', bumping into the younger's chest in the process.

"OH MY GOD. WHERE... WHERE?!" Taehyung asked, panic-stricken, while Jungkook was just enjoying their close proximity.

"See this is exactly what I'm talking about. There is no old guy by the way." Jungkook replied, feeling proud since his little 'experiment' worked.

"WHAT?! Haha I knew that. Good one. Did you like my acting Jungkook?" Taehyung replied as he pushed him away, mentally sighing.

"Yep. It was perfect. Now get on my car." Jungkook said as he grabbed onto the elder's elbow and pushed him towards his car.

"I don't like being man-handled. Stop..." The older whined like a child.

"You're making me do this. Now shut up and get in." Jungkook said as he shoved Taehyung onto the passenger seat of his Mercedes benz.

The younger started the car, and drove out of the parking area.

Silence filled the car once again. It was a comfortable silence. But Taehyung had to say something.

"Thank you so much for tonight. Um... I would've just been a really depressed human if you hadn't, you know, approached me." Taehyung said, fiddling with his seat belt.

"Really? Why? Something bothering you?" Jungkook said, ready to throw hands at whoever hurt his Taehyung.

His.

Taehyung could obviously not tell the younger the actual reason. So he decided to go for a fake but legitimate excuse.

"Because, Jimin left me alone, of course. That's why."

No it isn't.

Shut up brain.

"Oh okay. Now... left or right?" Jungkook asked, as currently there was a fork in the road.

"Uh... Straight actually." Taehyung replied, certain that Jungkook was going to say something.

"Oh my fucking god. I can't believe I almost let you come here alone. Where the hell are the fucking street lights?!" The younger asked as he looked around in disgust, feeling slightly mad.

"Wow you sound like my mom now. I like where this is going." Taehyung replied, sarcasm clearly evident in his words.

Jungkook just rolled his eyes at that, which made Taehyung giggle.

That intoxicating giggle.

The younger looked at the 'giggling idiot'. Eyes filled with admiration and perhaps... love?

This did not go unnoticed by Taehyung. They made eye contact for a brief while, but Jungkook looked away, biting his lips.

Is he the same guy who was considered as 'jerk kook'? 'Rich bitch without manners'? 'Rude guy'?

Unbelievable.

"Okay we're here. This is your beautiful apartment I assume." Jungkook said as he slowed the car down and scanned the old building up and down.

"Yes Milord." Taehyung chuckled.

"Thanks again." The latter said he got out of the car and walked to the other side, where the driver's seat was.

"No problem. We will see each other again, yes?" Jungkook asked, raising his eyebrow.

"I'll always be there at Heather... And now you know where I live. I might have to shift soon." Taehyung said, as he massaged his temples in fake frustration.

Jungkook just smiled at that.

"I might visit you eventually. You know... when I pass by or something."

Eventually. Pfft. Jungkook thought to himself.

"That would be great. I mean- uh. That would be alright." Taehyung said, trying hard to keep on a serious look.

Silence prevailed again, making both the males slightly uncomfortable.

"Aren't you going in?" Jungkook asked to break the silence.

But honestly, the latter wanted Taehyung to stay.

"Well actually I'm just waiting to see if I'm feeling drowsy or anything... How long do these drugs normally take to work?" Taehyung asked, which made Jungkook wheeze.

Fuck. He's perfect. The younger thought.

"Okay. So I'm gonna head up now. I had fun today." Taehyung smiled.

I'm gonna miss you.

"I had fun too- I'll, see you later." Jungkook bit his lips.

I'm gonna miss you too.

Taehyung walked towards the main door of building.

Jungkook waited for the older to turn around for one last time.

And he did.

He turned around and waved.

"Bye..." Taehyung said, box smile on display.

Bye.

All the way back home, his thoughts were filled with one person.

The one person who he never thought he'd fall for-

A salesman.

His salesboy.

He was smiling like an idiot to himself all along, until he reached back home.

The big black shiny gates were opened to him by the guards and he drove his car in.

He parked the car in the garage, got out and walked inside his house, feeling ecstatic all along.

He took his jacket off, tossed it on the couch and headed straight to the kitchen for a glass of water.

Hearing sounds from the kitchen, the lady of the house (A/n: jungkook's wife) walked inside.

"Oh Jungkook. It's you." The lady spoke.

"Who else would it be? Your dead dog?" Jungkook replied as he chugged down a glass of cold water.

"Don't speak of Smokey like that. Now... How was the date?" His mother asked, eager to know his answer. (A/n: it's his mother, chill)

"It was perfect." Jungkook replied, feeling a tug in his heart.

He was perfect.

"What? I honestly thought you wouldn't like Lisa. I've heard that it's really hard to like her. Well, I'm just glad you felt this way towards a girl." She said, happiness and relief evident in her words.

Jungkook suddenly realised that his mother and himself were talking about two different people.

"Uh. Wait. The date was okay. She was kinda weird though. Too judgy... and not that talkative. She was on her phone the whole time." Jungkook said as though he didn't give two fucks.

He really didn't.

"Then why did you say perfect?? This kid I swear." His mother said, annoyed and tired of finding girls to set her own son up with.

"Uh. That was nothing." Jungkook replied, embarrassed of what he had said earlier absentmindedly.

But he couldn't blame his mouth. His head was filled with that one person.

Tae.

He remembered how Taehyung looked red and confused after he bought him that shirt the day before...

And how he got flustered when the younger asked him out to the movie...

And then later on, how he had a small but adorable pout on his face because Jungkook didn't talk to him for a while...

And also how Taehyung moved closer to him, when the latter said there was an old guy staring at him...

But above all, his cute giggle and beautiful smile, that could make the hardest hearts... soft. Like his own.

"It's nothing." Jungkook said, looking at his mother, lips curving into a smile.

But actually, it was everything.

And that... is the story of how a rich dude called 'Junglebook' and a 'Salesboy' who really just needed the money... fell in love.

The End.
