Chapter 1

It was finally the day you've all been dreading. Both witches and wizards, and Finders and Getters have found what you've been looking for for months! You've cracked the code to the place and time for the next Organization meeting: Monday, 8 pm at The House of the Seven Gables, facing south towards the Salem Harbor.

"The House of the Seven Gables, also called the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion, is located right on the water of Salem Harbor at the intersection of Derby and Turner Streets. The large house was built in 1668 and is uniquely constructed with many pointed gables, multiple chimneys, and a dark, foreboding exterior.

But the house has a curse...and it all started with Colonel Pyncheon, who was a very rich, powerful man living in Puritan Salem, Massachusetts. He had but one ambition: to build a wonderful house to leave his descendants. After quite a bit of searching, he found the perfect location for his house, next to a fresh water spring.

But there was problem. A rather big one. The land was owned by a poor man named Matthew Maule. Maule refused to sell his land to Colonel Pyncheon, because he had already cleared and tilled the land. But Colonel Pyncheon was patient. When witchcraft hysteria starts to sweep Salem, Pyncheon sees his chance. He accuses Maule of witchcraft, which leads to Maule's hanging. Before dying, Maule cursed Pyncheon, telling him 'God will give him blood to drink.'

Not so long after that, and still during the trials, Pyncheon got his hands on Maule's land, he builds a grand home, which he named the House of the Seven Gables. The construction was overseen by Maule's son, Thomas Maule. But the very day of Colonel Pyncheon's housewarming party, Matthew Maule's curse rears its head. Pyncheon is found dead, with blood on his neck. His guests whispered about the curse."

At the moment, the house is abandoned, people are too scared of what happened to Pyncheon just days before, no one wants the house so it was a perfect location for the meeting. No one will disturb them.

No one knows what's waiting for them inside the timber-framed gigantic mansion, more so than it is their first time they assisted a meeting. Plus, there's the possibility of the curse and rumor has it you can smell Pyncheon's blood from days before and the whispers of his guests.
