Volt feels like nobody cares for him... that's why he acts the way he does... to seek attention... he doesn't want to feel alone... to have the depression he's facing cause him to hurt himself... or even kill himself...
He may say that he's okay when he's not... he doesn't like crying in front of others... 

He thinks he's pathetic... pointless... and hides his actual emotions... behind the flirtatious bad boy personality...

He doesn't want to be backstabbed again...
