Gaara's POV

Ever since that incident, I didn't show my face to Sakura. I was shamed. I hurt her. I hurt her so badly, yet she insisted on walking towards me. I even crushed her legs to stop her. Once she wrapped her arms around me, my sands stopped moving. I was in peace. When I woke up, I got in control over Shukaku again. I felt so guilty. Everything I have kept inside, I let it all out at that moment. I realised what I have done. I'm glad that I met her years ago. If we hadn't met, I doubt she could control back there. She is the only who can stop me, bring me to peace and the only one who can reach me, be close to me and touch me. Temari and Kankuro carried me all the way to Suna. On the way, I apologised to them for everything I have done. They seemed surprised and accepted the apology. I was glad.

After some time, we were requested to Konoha for a mission. After we reported to the Hokage of our attendance, Temari and Kankuro headed to assist a team on a mission. Before I went there, I visited Sakura at the training ground. I saw some ANBUs watching over her. What happened? Why the security? I asked myself, but shook it off. I headed to complete my mission.

Sakura's POV

After I finished training, I collapsed on the ground panting heavily. After I caught my breath, I walked home to take a shower. On my way, I saw Gaara and his teammates.

"Gaara?" I called.

He turned and said,"Sakura?" He seemed a little surprised to see me.

"What are you doing here? I thought you returned to your village." I asked.

"Yes, we did. But we received a mission to assist a team here." He answered.

"Oh, I see. I'm on my way home, good bye then." I smiled and walked away.

After I took a shower, I wanted to head to the Hokage tower to see what I can do. When I opened my door, I saw daddy.

"Daddy? Why do you look so..upset?" I asked.

"Sakura.. Sasuke and Naruto fought. I was too late to help them. When I arrived, Sasuke have already left and left his forehead protector." He stopped for me to absorb it in. "He is now a rogue ninja." He said sadly. I sighed. To seek for power, they tend to go the wrong way..

"How are Naruto and the others in the team?" I asked.

"Naruto is not in a bad condition given he has the Nine Tailed Beast to heal him. Neji is in a critical condition. Kiba and Chouji are badly injured, but their lives are safe. Shikamaru is safe. Thank goodness the ninjas from Suna helped them or their condition would be way worst." He said.

"Kakashi! Unseal my chakra! I have to help them!" I said. He was stunned that I called him Kakashi. I do that when I'm serious. He sighed and nodded, knowing I'd be extremely upset to not be able to save my friends when I could.

He quickly unsealed me and I rushed to the hospital. I stormed inside and saw shishou.

"Tsunade-sama! Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked.

"All of our best are healing Neji. They should not be interfered. You can heal Kiba and Chouji." She said and I nodded.

I head to help Chouji first as his condition is worst. I slammed his door open and shut it.

"S-Sakura?" He said weakly

"I'm here to help you. Now, relax."

I ran to Chouji's side and began to heal him. When I'm done, he thanked me which I nodded in reply.

After that, I headedto Kiba. It seems Akamaru is injured as well. Kiba already figured out why I'm here.

"Help Akamaru first." He croaked.

I nodded in defeat knowing he cares for Akamaru more than himself. I rushed to Akamaru and began healing him. After I'm done, Akamaru jumped on me and licked my face. He immediately went to Kiba's side. When I was healing Kiba, I was interrupted.

"SAKURA! NEJI'S STATE IS UNSTABLE!" My eyes widened in horror.

"BRING ME TO HIM NOW!" I said and apologised to Kiba. I promised to come for him later.

I ran through the hallway missing the sight of Gaara.

Sakura? Gaara thought.
