It has been a week since I helped out in the hospital. Ever since I came here,I could someone following me,watching my every move. It isn't Sai,it is someone else. A presence familiar,yet foreign. I leaned on my chair and stared at the ceiling.

"Could you feel it?" I asked.

"Yes,it has been a week now." Sai replied.

I sighed and arranged the papers on my table at a side. I was interrupted when someone knocked on my door rapidly.

"DR. HATAKE! THE KAZEKAGE IS HAVING A HEART ATTACK! HE IS IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM" The voice shouted.

I quickly got up and rushed to the emergency room. Gaara,Temari and Kankuro were pacing back and forth. Temari gave me a tight hug with teary eyes. I pulled away and gave three if them a reassuring smile.

I entered the room and quickly get into business. I placed my hand on the Kazekage's chest. Emerald green chakra exposed to the air. I ran my chakra through his blood capillaries and his heart. I noticed his life force is drifting away. It's his time to go.. Unless.. I entered my life force and my chakra into him. It seems he noticed,because he quickly grabbed my hand.

"Kazekage-sama.." I whispered.

"Don't,child. My time is up. You still have a bright future ahead of you." He smiled.

"But Kazekage-sama.." My tears roll down my cheeks.

"Gaara will be the next Kazekage. Don't worry,I'll meet his mother soon. I just regret not being able to watch both of you marry" He said while pulling my hand away from his chest. My chakra managed to control his pain,while the little of my life forced sustained his life for a little bit. "I want to see my children for the last time"

"I'll call them immediately" I said and rushed out.

"Your presence is requested by Kazekage-sama" I said quickly while letting my tears fall.

They looked at me with horror. I quickly pulled them inside without wasting time.

Once they saw their father lying on the bed,they instantly stood by his side. I looked away feeling guilty,knowing I couldn't save him.

"Don't feel guilty,child. You tried your best to save me,even if it means your life. I won't let that. This is my wish,to leave and meet my wife again" He smiled. His soft voice ringing in my ears.

I could feel an arm pulling me by the waist to the Kazekage. He pulled my closer and squeezed my shoulder gently. Gaara..

"Gaara,you will be my successor. Good luck,Kazekage." He smiled. "I regret everyday in my life of the things I have done to you,Gaara. I'm sorry,woukd you forgive me?" Gaara nodded. "Also,I regret not being able to see all of you marry and have children." He chuckled.

"I have to meet your mother now. Before that,Sakura,I want you to call me Tou-san,just once. This will be my only chance" He grinned.

"T-Tou-sama" I cried more.

"Still so respectful,I see" He laughed. "Good bye,your mother is calling" He said and slowly closed his eyes.

Finally,I broke into sobs. Temari released her tears. Kankuro holding Temari letting his tears flow. Gaara held on to me,allowing his tears to fall.

~2 DAYS LATER~

Every shinobi of the Land of Wind gathered in front of the Kazekage's grave. Sobs and whimpers heard every where. As time goes by,the people scattered and left. Temari and Kankuro leaving soon after. Gaara and I were the only ones left.

"I could have saved him.. I'm sorry.." I spoke softly.

"If you did,the funeral I would attending now would be yours" He answered softly. "You shouldn't blame yourself. Death is inevitable."

Both of us stared at the grave a little longer,drifting to our own thoughts. Gaara turned to me and embraced me. He rubbed my shoulders and turned me away.

"Let's go" He said and pulled me away by his side.

~MEANWHILE~

"She is a pretty one,isn't she?" I chuckled. "Still blaming herself,eh?"

"They look good with each other. Don't worry,she will get over with it soon." My wife smiled. Tears formed in her eyes. "My son is finally growing up"

"He definitely is. He will be a great Kazekage and a great father. Let's hope he will be a great husband" I laughed.

"I'm sure he will,she is so nice. If only I could talk to her"

"Anyways,it has been such a long time. Let's go,my love" I said holding her hand.

"Took you long enough" She smiled.

Together,we floated in the sky towards the place called Heaven.

Take care of each other,you two. I want lots and lots of grandchildren. I mentally chuckled.
