Cookie Disaster

Day 6: [Baking Fail]/Cooking Fail/Movie Night

Not the best, I know. But hey, I tried. Not proud of this one

Also, Seiyu is the name for Walmart in Japan, just for context

Two purple-haired males sat on the couch in their living room, watching Friends on their TV, both bored out of their minds. It was February 14th, Valentine's day, but they didn't know what to do. Their girlfriends were expecting something, but what?

The sound of a car pulling up caught their attention, the shorter one sitting up from his upside down position. "Where did he go?" Kokichi asked, looking at his companion, who just shrugged his shoulders.

The door opened and a bluenet came in, a few groceries in hand. "I would ask you to help, but this is everything, and you guys wouldn't help anyway." "Oh, you know us so well, Shumai!" The male rolled his eyes and shut the door with his foot, going into the kitchen. Kokichi followed him in and began looking through the bags he put on the counter.

"What did you get anyway?" The liar took a bag of sugar out and looked over at his roommate. "I got stuff to make cookies. Sayaka's coming over tonight and I wanted to make her something. Cookies are cliché, but easy." While he began putting some extra things away, Kokichi looked at the ingredients and smiled brightly. "Hey, how much did you get to make the cookies?" "Hm, if we used everything, I'd be able to make 5 batches, but I'm obviously not-" "Hey, Kaito, we got stuff for cookies! You can make some for Maki!"

Some quick footsteps hurried from the living room to the kitchen, and the tall astronaut appeared in the doorway, smiling. "Nice, Shuichi! Thanks for getting stuff for all of us!" "What, I didn't-" But before he could say anything more, Kokichi was getting the flour and other ingredients out while Kaito got the bowls out from the top drawer.

The bluenet groaned as his roommates started on the cookies, or at least attempted to. The shorter of them didn't bother with measurements and poured what he felt like, getting flour and sugar all over the place. At one point, he even dropped one of the bags of flour, covering the entire kitchen in the powder.

Kaito, on the other hand, tried to follow a recipe Shuichi had pulled up, but even with correct measurements and instructions, put too little in it as he didn't want to put too much like his roommate was. He only got flour on his shirt, but he did end up knocking over some milk into his batter.

Once the two were done trying to mix the batter, Shuichi had enough. "Alright, both of you, stop. You both aren't even doing it correctly. Let me see what I can do." "Shuichi-" "Kokichi, don't argue."

The purple-haired male pouted, but backed away with the astronaut, letting the medical student step over and look at the mixtures before getting an idea. "Okay, we're going to mix these two together. Maybe we can make enough cookies for all three of us, since Kokichi used so much." With a nod from both parties, he poured the batters into a larger bowl that would hold everything,

Once he stirred it all up and added a little more spice due to the amount of milk, the batter looked okay. Shuichi allowed the shortest male to add the chocolate chips, which he tried to mix in as best as he could, but was unable to get a lot, much to Kokichi's disappointment.

The three worked together to make the cookie sheets and rolling bits up to set on the pans. They didn't know how long to let the large amount of cookies bake, so they threw them in and decided to check on them occasionally.

Just as Shuichi was about to set the alarm, Kokichi whining distracted him. "What, what's wrong now?" He asked, shutting his phone off without the alarm before setting it down. "What's wrong? We have to clean all this up!" "Yeah, and who's fault is that, for dropping the flour?" Kaito muttered, taking his shirt off right there in the kitchen.

"Okay, let's go ahead and take our clothes off so we don't get flour outside the kitchen. Kaito, you do the laundry and clean up your milk, I'll get our new clothes, and Kokichi will sweep up the flour." "Wh- why me!?" "Because you split it!" The liar whined more as Kaito handed him the broom, which he reluctantly took.

The trio got to work with their assigned task, cleaning up as best as they could. After cleaning their faces, they got dressed again and laid back in the living room.

However, they weren't the quickest, and since they were preoccupied, they completely forgot the cookies. Thus, when the smell of something burning hit Shuichi's nose, the fire alarm went off, sending its loud wailing into the kitchen.

They quickly went into the kitchen and Kaito pulled the trays out, Kokichi using a towel to put the fires out, which didn't get too big.

"Damn it! Who forgot to put an alarm to check them?!" "Oh, I'm sorry, you distracted me with your damn whining about having to clean up your mess!" "Shut up, both of you! What are we going to do now, we don't have anything for the girls!"

The doorbell suddenly rang, making them all freeze in place. Shuichi let out a low growl as he ran his hand through his hair. "Damn it, she's here already." "Well, go answer it. You know she won't be happy about being left in the cold."

The med student nodded and took a deep breath, walking to the door and opening it, revealing his girlfriend's face, slightly red from the cold and a big smile. "Hey, Shuichi! Happy Valentine's day!" "Hey, Sayaka..." The bluenette felt his frustration and frowned a little, coming into the house and shutting the door. "What's wrong, sweetheart?' "Well...I tried to make you cookies, but...as you can tell from the smell, it didn't go as planned. They probably would've been shit anyway, the two morons made the batter and I could only salvage so much."

Sayaka smiled a little. "It's okay. I got you cookies myself. They're store bought, but they're from Tate's Bake Shop in the States, and they're actually homemade." Shuichi took that moment to realize her Seiyu bags, 2 in each hand and 6 green bags in each. "Oh, Sayaka..." The boy looked up at her and smiled, leaning over and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

The pop star giggled and help up the bags. "I also got some for Ouma and Momota, since I figured they would need something for their own girlfriends."

The duo immediately popped out from the kitchen and got to their knees, bowing to her. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" They spoke in unison, their heads low enough to touch the ground. Sayaka blushed and took one of the Seiyu bags, handing it out to the two boys. "Here, take them and get going already. They told me they were waiting on you two."

After taking the bags and thanking her once again, they left to get dressed, leaving the blue-haired couple. "Ah, here, let me take your coat." Shuichi went around and took Sayaka's coat as she took her boots off, setting the remaining Seiyu on the armchair by her. Once he set her coat on the hanger, he quickly hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek. "Thank you, Sayaka. I love you." "Oh, I love you too, Shushu, but could you do something about that smell? It's hurting my nose." "Ah, yes, sorry! Sit down and get comfortable, find a movie if you'd like!"

With one final kiss, Shuichi hurried back to the kitchen to open the windows, leaving his giggling girlfriend in the living room to get comfortable for the night.
