Kokichi's POV

I look outside the window to see the snow."I can finally paint since my mom isnt around." I say as I grab my art supplies and run outside.I go to the shed and grab a blanket.Im always going to the park to paint something.My mom doesn't like the fact I go outside just to paint.Shes worried I don't have friends cause I'm ten and everyone thinks I'm weird for painting.It makes me sad but theres this one kid at the park who always sits with me.Hes really nice and is the only person other then my mom to like paintings.

I ran to the park this time since I remember the boy saying he likes snow a lot.Once I arrived to my normal spot I put the blanket down and sit down setting my stuff.I then realize I forgot to grab my jacket.I get sick so easily which means my mom is going to get upset at me.Then I feel something get put on my shoulders.I look beside me to see him.Oh right his name is Shuichi.Hes the same age as me.Cute may I add too.

"Hello Kokichi-kun.You know you can get sick on this weather without a jacket,right" He asks me.I nod and look at the scene in front of me."Your painting a winter one today?" "Yeah I havent done it before so I thought it would be fun." I say as I smile.Then I realize that Shuichi gave me his jacket.I blush a lot.

Shuichi giggles and wraps his arm around me shoulder and pulls me closer to him."Can we sit here for bit please?Everytime you come by the park you always paint or draw something.Which I dont mind at all.....but maybe just this once we can hang out?" "Okay but first.....can I draw you first?" Shuichi smiles at me and nods.

I grabbed my sketchbook and pencil.Opening it to find a fresh page.I look at Shuichi then back down at the page.I start drawing Shuichi.Hes really really really cute.I think I like him?I'm not sure.Before I know it I'm done drawing him.I look at the drawing of him and smile.Hes really cute."Your drawing is good as ever." Shuichi says.

"T-thank you....oh ummm one second." I flip the page and grab my paint brush.I quickly start painting the scene in front of us.After a few minutes of painting I stop.After a minute of letting it dry.I carefully rip the page out and hand it to Shuichi."Y-your giving this to me?" "That's why I wanted to paint today....I wanted it to you.Thank you for loving my paintings.And....for being my first friend."

Shuichi smiles even wider."Its no problem....ummmm.....I'm going to miss you..." Shuichi smiles faded away as he said that.Hes leaving....me?Oh no."Me too....." I started crying."Dont cry,Kokichi." He tells me as he holds my hand."But your.....your leaving.....I don't any friends besides from you...." I tell him.All of a sudden we hear someone yelling for Shuichi.

Shuichi looks behind us and sighs."Kokichi.....thank you for making me happy.I know one day we'll see each other again." He tells me as he kisses my cheek.He let's go of my hand and stands up."Bye Kokichi.Keep my jacket,okay?" Shuichi says as he runs off.I sit there and watch him go off into the distance.

I hold his Shuichi's jacket closer to me and cry more.I couldn't handle it.It hurt a lot to see him leave.I heard my mom call my name.I didn't care for her at that moment.I wanted my friend back.My mom picked me up with the rest of my stuff and started going back to the house.

I woke up in my room.I wasnt sure what time it was but I was still sad.My only friend is gone.Then I remembered I had his jacket and the picture I drew of him.I got out of bed and looked for my sketchbook but with no luck.I walked out of my room and into the living room.I saw my mom holding my sketchbook."Mom?" "Oh hey sweetie.Are you okay now?" I nod and go over to sit next to her on the couch.

"Who's this?" My mom points to the drawing of Shuichi."My....my friend....Shuichi..." "You made a friend?That's great!When can I met them?" "N...never......hes.....hes moving away..." "Oh....was that why you were crying?" I just nod.My mom hugs me."Its okay,Kichi."

Its 11:46 PM as I'm writing this part.It took forever to write this and I feel bad for doing this half assed chapter.Im writing two or three chapters tomorrow to make up for this.Thank you for reading this chapter.Bye!
