3rd Person Perspective

The rain dripping from the clouds were lightly soaking everything in sight. Most students were either inside their house or dorm room.

When its raining, Shuichi would usually sit by the window in his dorm and read while listening to the soft sounds being created by the rain, tapping onto the window.

But not this time. Shuichi was standing in the rain, holding an umbrella above his head while waiting for the playful purple haired leader to arrive.

He and Kokichi had a date planned for today. Despite Shuichi's offerings to cancel the date due to the rain, the dictator reassured him, saying he wouldn't want to pass up the opportunity.

Truth be told, the two ultimates both had feelings for the other and would occasionally, but discreetly, show it. But yesterday is when they officially asked one another to go on a date, and in the form of a romantic picnic.

Unfortunately, they hadn't expected the weather to change so dramatically, so Shuichi didnt have a plan for them. That was until Kokichi had suggested that they go on a walk during the rain.

Thats how Shuichi ended up standing in the rain and waiting for his date to arrive. A few more minutes passed and Shuichi could see the supreme leader jogging towards him. Once the boy was in clear view, the detective noticed that Kokichi was soaked.

"Nee-heehee, sorry I'm late Shumai. I had to go last minute grocery shopping. I hope you didn't have to wait to long!" The leader greeted.

"It's okay, Kichi. Don't worry about it. But why are so wet?" Shuichi asked with concern.

"I didn't have any umbrella, and the store was out of them." Kokichi replied, calmly.

Shuichi sighed and moved closer to Kokichi, placing the umbrella in his hand above him and the drenched dictator.

Kokichi visibly blushed a faint pink because of how close he was to the detective he loved so much.

Shuichi gently and softly took the boy's hand in his and intertwined their fingers while starting to walk around their college campus. They walked and chatted together about various topics, occationally bringing up their past memories they made during the past school years.

Upon their time, they came across a bench that was conveniently placed under a big tree, leaving the bench to be almost completely dry. The boys sat down and watched the rain in silence. It was a silence that they had grew fond of long ago. Just savoring the peaceful sound of the pidder-padder coming from the rain.

Either they hadn't noticed that they were still holding hands, or neither wanted to let the warmth of their hands go. Kokichi leaned his head onto Shuichi's shoulder and closed his eyes softly. Shuichi smiled and rested his own head on the leader's.

Time had seemed to stop for the two of them. Both were in a state of a peaceful bliss, and neither wanted it to stop. Their nervousness they had at the beginning was completely lost and replaced with a feeling of tranquility.

Shuichi suddenly felt the boy next to him start to shake. He tilted his head to look at Kokichi and spoke calmly but with worry in his voice.

"What's wrong Kichi?"

The leader spoke with shaky words, "N-nothing to w-worry about Sh-shumai! I'm j-just a bit c-cold is all."

Shuichi took a moment to fully take in what the leader was dressed in. Although Kokichi looked absolutely adorable in the sweater he was wearing, it looked rather thin and didn't seem to retain any heat.

Shuichi blushed and unzipped his own jacket. He took one of his arms out of the jacket's sleeve then drapped that side of the clothing item over the shivering leader and pulling him close, resulting in the other to blush tremendously.

Kokichi snuggled into the jacket and Shuichi's side.

"Why did you wear such a thin sweater Kokichi? You knew it was raining outside." Shuichi asked, returning his head utop the dictator's.

Kokichi blushed more and averted his lavender eyes from the detective's golden ones, "I wanted to look nice for Shumai." He said shyly.

The detective smiled and kissed Kokichi's damp hair on the top of his head.

"You don't need to do that, you look beautiful in everything."

Kokichi turned to look deeply into Shuichi's eyes, almost getting lost in them before remembering what he was going to say.

"Shuichi?" He asked.

"What is it Kokichi?"

"I-I really like you. I love you in fact. You're able to see through my lies, which no one has ever done before. And you care for me like no one else has. I really love you, with all my heart. I just wanted you to know that.."

Shuichi blush a dark red hue. His feeling of calmness became replaced with euphoria and joy. He took both thier hands and intertwined their fingers. He looked Kokichi in the eyes with a big smile.

"I love you too! I love everything about you, you're amazing!"

Kokichi looked at Shuichi in shock. He was surprised and happy. The happiest he had ever felt. The love of his life loved him back!

He hugged Shuichi tightly, tears of happiness starting to form in his eyes. Shuichi hugged back and brushed the tears that were running down Kokichi's face. They embraced one another for a few minutes, completely forgetting the rain all around them and the coldness emerging from the clouded sky.

Shuichi pulled part from the hug and placed his hand onto Kokichi's cheek. They both leaned forward with their eyes closing once their faces were inches away from each other.

They closed the distance between their faces by pressing their lips together. It was a sweet and tender kiss, one that they would forever treasure. They could taste the sweetest on each others lips and the wamth radiating from their faces because of their blush.

The tender kiss paused momentarily for air, only to return to it immediately afterwards.

Neither boys could express the happiness and loving feeling they felt. It was a moment they had both drempt about but never truly believed would happen. It was breathtaking to say the least.

After a few minutes go by, they release the kiss and panted while gazing into the other's eyes, lovingly.

Shuichi spoke softly, breaking their silence, "Wanna go back and rest?"

Kokichi smiled and nodded. He stood with Shuichi with Shuichi's jacket still around him. They made there way to the detective's dorm room and changed into a pair of pajamas Shuichi let Kokichi wear.

Kokichi and Shuichi cuddled each other on Shuichi's bed under the blankets. Warmth emanating from their hugging bodies, the boys both smiled.

"Hey Kichi?" Shuichi asked while running his fingers threw the other's hair.

"Yes Shumai?"

Shuichi blushed, "W-will you be my boyfriend?"

Kokichi smiled widely with a big blush, "Of course you silly!"

He hugged Shuichi tightly and gave him a soft peck on the lips. He snuggled closer to his beloved detective.

Kokichi and Shuichi listened to the light tapping of the rain on the window. They said their newly 'I love you's and closed their eyes in a peaceful slumber.

Now, whenever it would rain, they would get to listen to the soft and peaceful sounds of a rainy day together in each other's arms.
