[nine: Let me go!]

"Father! Father..." Caspian whispered as he tossed and turned in his bed, the dream haunting him as he tosses and turns. Edmund lies awake, looking to the ceiling until he looks to the corner and gasps - spotting his worst fear lurking there.

"Edmund. Edmund. Come with me. Join me." The White Witch whispers to him and Edmund immediately pulls out his sword and points it to her.

"Edmund." Lucy whispers and Edmund jumps for a moment as he lowers his sword, looking to his sister with a relieved look.

"Oh, Lucy."

"I can't sleep." She admitted and Edmund puts his sword down as he sits up and looks at his sister.

"Let me guess. Bad dreams." Both Lucy and Caspian nodded, the latter having woke up only a moment before as the three look at each other. "So either were all going mad...or something is playing with our minds."

"Genevieve's not in her bed, I looked for her first." Lucy said to him and Edmund nodded as he got out of his hammock and smiled at his sister.

"You try and sleep, I'll go look for her."

An ominous boom startled Genevieve out of her abysmal nightmare. Her cheeks were wet and her body was bathed in a cold sweat. The sheets were twisted around her limbs, probably because she was thrashing in her sleep. Her heart pounded against her chest. Genevieve trembled. The room was entirely dark. No light anywhere. The remnants of her nightmare still clung to her mind, haunting her.  Another flash of lightning illuminated the room in blinding light. Genevieve let out a frightened cry and buried her face into her pillow. Even her breaths trembled. She swallowed and once again turned to see the endless darkness of her room. She couldn't see anything.

But she could hear perfectly fine.

La la lu, La la lu,
Oh, my little star sweeper,

Genevieve paused upon hearing the tune, the song soundly familiar as the sweet voice sung around her bedroom soothing the girl. A candle ignited itself in the corner of the room, the familiar silhouette of somebody she used to know was holding the candle and Genevieve smiled as tears welled to her eyes again. There was the same hair, the same melodic voice and the same smell of honey and sweet lily that diffused around the room and the same orbs that she had come to acquire as she grew older. For a moment Genevieve believed she was looking in a mirror before the woman in question began to walk, singing her song and bringing her candle with her.

I'll sweep the stardust for you,
La la lu, La la lu,

Genevieve rose from her bed and followed the woman onto the deck, ignoring the green mist that danced along her feet as she went. Her eyes were wide as she walked into the storm, the rain and lightning forgotten as she stared at the woman who continued to sing her song. She than recognised another figure a little while away, a male figure no doubt with a crown on their head - but she couldn't see his face.

Little soft fluffy sleeper,
Here comes a pink cloud for you...

There was silent for a moment as Genevieve stared at the woman as tears fell from her eyes and a smile formed on her face again. The woman only stared back, neither smiling or frowning as she looked at Genevieve- but Genevieve didn't catch on to the fact that she wasn't real.

"Mum," Genevieve whispered as she ran over to embrace her mother but finding her mother had moved to where the male was stood. "I've missed you."

"We've missed you too Evie," Elizabeth Potter stated swiftly before turning her head to the man next to her. "we all have."

"Hello Mum," The male said and Genevieve's eyes widened as she looked at the familiar boy with a smile. "Missed me?"

"I missed you every day Oliver," Genevieve whispered as she smiled up at her son. "I missed you so so much."

"Funny way of showing it." Oliver, looking the exact same he did when Genevieve left Narnia, snarled as he looked at his mother - Genevieve stepping back at the harsh tone in his voice. "How could you leave me?"

"I didn't belong there."

"That's absolute rubbish mother!" Oliver shouted as he looked down at her, Genevieve frowning as tears welled in her eyes. "You were the best thing that ever happened to Narnia. They needed you! And you abandoned them... you abandoned me!"

"Oliver I-"

"Save it! How could I even call you my mother?" Oliver screamed into her face harshly, Genevieve then realising the differences in the boys face form when she had seen him last - there was something off. "But I can forgive you."

"Really?" Genevieve asked, her eyes wide with happiness as she fell into the trap the evil had set to her - Genevieve taking a step closer to the edge of the deck as her mother and Oliver took a step back.

"Just come closer sweetheart," Elizabeth whispered as she and Oliver took another step back. "Embrace us Evie."

Genevieve took a step closer, the two retaliating every time by stepping back until they were no longer on the deck but floating right next to the ship. The green mist engulfed the figure as her eyes stayed connected to Oliver's as she stood on the edge of the ship - barely balancing on the edge of the ship as it swayed from side to side in the storm.

"Come to us Evie." Elizabeth Potter shouted, her arms wide as she was a step off of the ship floating above the water. "Just a little bit closer."

Genevieve kept her eyes trained on the two as she lifted one leg into the air and stepped off the boat, only for her body to be pulled backwards onto the ship as her mother and son fell into the water below - but Genevieve didn't notice that there was no splash.

"No!" Genevieve screamed as she squirmed in the persons arms, thrashing as the tried to jump overboard. "Let me go! Let me go!"

"Genevieve!" Edmund shouted as he turned her face towards her, seeing that she was still thrashing he cupped her face and kissed her temple. "It's only me."

"Edmund?" Genevieve questioned before she collapsed into his arms and let the sobs consume her being. "I...I..."

"Shh." Edmund whispered as he stroked her hair and cupped her face again sending her a small smile. "Let's go in and get dry, being out here won't help anybody."

It was quiet as Edmund walked Genevieve back to her room, Genevieve pausing before she entered as she took a shaky breath - Edmund taking her hand as he led her into the room and told her to sit down whilst he got a couple of towels from below deck. Genevieve sat there for a moment and just stared at her shaking hands, tears falling freely down her cheeks as she remembered what had happened only minutes ago - the fact that she had almost lost her life for something that seemed so real.

"Genny?" Ron asked as he popped his head into the room, his eyes widening when he saw the tears in her eyes. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing Ron, just a bad dream." She whispered as her cousin sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"Yeah, me too." Ron replied as they stayed in silence for a moment before he sighed. "Do you think they loved me?"

"Who?"

"My parents."

"Ron, uncle Marcu-" Genevieve started before Ron interrupted her.

"No my real parents," Ron whispered as tears welled in his eyes. "My biological parents."

"Ron, what did you see?" Genevieve asked in confusion as she turned to him with concerned eyes but was met with silence. "What did you see?"

"My mother and father." He whispered, a tear rolling down his cheeks. "They were shouting at me, like they did back before I was in the orphanage."

"What did they say Ron?" She asked as she grabbed a tissue and wiped the tears from his eyes. "You can talk to me."

"They told me I wasn't their son... and that they should have... they should have." Ron burst into sobs as Genevieve immediately pulled him into her chest - soothing him as Edmund walked back into the room, placing the towels down as he blew a kiss to Genevieve and walked off with Genevieve giving him a nod to say thank you.

"I don't care what those people said Ron. They hurt you both physically and mentally and they ruined a relationship with the most wonderful son they could ever have. You are loved so so much Ron." Genevieve whispered as she ran her hand through his his. "I love you."

There was silence for a moment as Ron tackled Genevieve in a hug, the girl laughing and completely forgetting about her own nightmare from before as she hugged her cousin and expressed how much she loved him for who he really was.

"Can I stay here tonight?" Ron asked shyly and Genevieve smiled as she looked at him. "I don't want to be alone."

"Of course you can Ronnie," She stated as she dried off with the towel Edmund had given her and blew out the candle in her room as the two got into bed. "Ron?"

"Hmm?"

"What''s the deal with you and Eustace?" She teased and Ron only turned to the side with a smile on her face.

"Goodnight Genny."

And they fell asleep with no nightmares.
