[nine: you need to tell him Genevieve]

The seven soon find themselves back at the gorge where Lucy and Ron both claimed to have seen Aslan, Peter and Trumpkin still skeptical over the matter but knew they had to let it slide for the girls sake so that they could get back to where they needed to be - which was by Caspian and the rest of the Narnians.

"Where do you think you saw Aslan?" Peter asked the two and Ron rolled his eyes at the word 'think' and Lucy seemed to be annoyed at the statement too.

"I wish you'd all stop acting like grown-ups. I didn't think I saw him, I did see him and so did Ron." Lucy stated profoundly.

"Yes I did!" Ron said.

"I am a grown-up." Trumpkin said with an eye roll with Lucy ignored as she looked for the place where she saw Aslan.

"It was right around..." Lucy started before the ground collapses underneath and she screams, Ron trying desperately to grasp her hand but he couldn't get to her in time. The others rushed over and were relieved to see her sitting safely just a few feet down. "...here."

Looking down, they see a steep and narrow path going slantwise down into the gorge between the rocks. Convinced Lucy was correct, they walk down the path and cross the gorge. Among this however, Lucy slips and Trumpkin catches her before Lucy looks up at the trees.

"Told you we should have trusted her!" Edmund and Genevieve both say simultaneously. The two share a look before Genevieve looks away and ventures forward - leaving Edmund heartbroken in his steps.

"I wouldn't take it too personally, she suffered a lot when you left and she built herself into a stronger woman. She needs time." Trumpkin said as he walked past the young King who only nodded towards the dwarf as he walked forward.

"Okay"

Stars light the sky like snow-flakes in the night, yet appear still, like an old photograph. Lucy smiles, feeling the wind blow her hair into a tousled mane. Were she out there in space, riding the limits of the known universe, they would be a choreographed blizzard. How the stars would move, the galaxies tumble and dart. But for now, with her arms around the log of a fallen tree and her head leaning gently it, the starlight kept its familiar pattern. The constellations, who'd witnessed centuries and millennia just the same, watched over this tiny moment. Lucy watches with her hands behind her head with a smile.

"Lucy, you awake?" Susan asked from beside her and Lucy only nodded ebfore turning to face her sister.

"Hmm?"

"Why do you think I couldn't see Aslan?" She asks and Lucy sits up.

"You believe me?"

"Well, we got across the gorge." Susan stated and Lucy only shrugged as she looked to the stars again.

"I don't know. Maybe you didn't really want to." Lucy says, unaware that Trumpkin was listening and catching every word.

"You always knew we'd be coming back here, didn't you?"

"I hoped so." Lucy admitted with a smile

"I just got used to the idea of living in England." Susan muttered sadly.

"But you're happy to be here, aren't you?"

"While it lasts." Susan muttered before Lucy turned away to try and sleep - but Susan found herself tossing and turning.

A little place away, Genevieve sat right next to a Ron as she tried to make him as comfortable as possible after removing her coat and placing it around him to use as a blanket as she brushed her hands through his hair.

"Can you tell me a something about him? Oliver I mean." Ron asked and Genevieve chuckled with a smile as she nodded.

"I think you've heard them all but okay." Genevieve whispered unaware as Susan listens intently as she stares at the two from a little way away.

"Oliver was a very selfless child and he was so very into his future before I left, I suppose he got that from me more than anyone. He was a great swordsman and leader just like Peter but his heart was always set on being an archer - bow and arrows being the first weapon he chose much like Susan. Yet his heart was so valiant, so brave much like Lucy and he got along so well with the Beavers, their kids and Tumnus." Genevieve spoke happily and Ron watched the happiness fill her eyes as she thought of her son.

"What did he get from Edmund?" Ron asked and she thought for a moment before replying.

"He got his humble nature. He never thought he was as good as he was despite being as brilliant as Edmund was back then. I suppose he got Edmunds good looks as well. Like father like son." Genevieve whispered as Susan gasps from a little while away, pretending to be asleep when Genevieve looked over. "Now try and get some sleep, we've got a hard day tomorrow."

"Goodnight Genny." Ron mumbled as he cuddled into her coat on the floor.

"Goodnight Ron, sleep dreams." She whispers as she turns into the dirt as a tear falls from her eyes as she thinks of Oliver

They then all finally go to sleep.

At dawn, Lucy hears a growl and wakes up. She gets up and walks away from the others. She pushes branches out of the way as she makes her way through the forest. A dryad floats past her laughing. The trees move aside, making way for her.

"Lucy..." Aslan says softly as Lucy runs...and he is there. The lion stands on top of a small hill and Lucy joyfully runs over and hugs him.

"I've missed you so much. You've grown!" Lucy compliments as she hugs the lion.

"Every year you grow, so shall I."

"Where've you been? Why haven't you come to help us?" Lucy asked and the lion only chuckled.

"Things never happen the same way twice, dear one." He whispered before a twig snaps and Lucy wakes up. She looks over and sees Susan sleeping.

"Susan, get up!"

"Certainly, Lu. Whatever you like." Susan mumbles as she rolls over and keeps sleeping.

"Genevieve wake up!" Lucy whispered as she woke Genevieve who gave her a tired smile.

"What is it sweetheart?" She asks as she watches Lucy's face light up.

"I think I know where Aslan is!" Lucy and Genevieve walks away and as they walk Lucy touches one of the trees.

"Wake up." She whispered and Genevieve only pulls her into a side hug.

"I don't think it works that way Lu." She says sadly. They keeps walking and hears a growl.

"Aslan?" Lucy asked in confusion, though she had never really heard Aslan growl before.

Someone sneaks up behind Lucy, puts a hand over her mouth, and drags her back. Lucy sees that it is Peter. They look over and see that the source of the growl: a minotaur. Peter signals Lucy and Genevieve to be quiet, draws his sword, and slowly starts walking towards the minotaur. Then, Caspian comes out of nowhere and instantly they begin fighting. Peter swings, misses, and sticks his sword into the tree which gives the advantage to Caspian who kicks Peter and he falls. Peter quickly recovers, coming at Caspian with a rock, and Caspian picks up Peter's sword.

"No!They stop." Lucy screams and Peter looks around as the Narnians come out of hiding. Caspian points Rhindon at Peter and breathes heavily.

"Prince Caspian?" Peter asks and Caspian looks at him confused.

"Yes. And who are you?" He asked.

"Peter!" Susan screams as she, Ron, Edmund, and Trumpkin run up to where they were. Caspian looks at  the sword in his hand and sees the lion head before he looks up at Peter.

"High King Peter?"

"I believe you called." Peter states and Caspian nods.

"Well yes, but... I thought you'd be older especially you your highness." Caspian says as he directs his look to Genevieve.

"Should I take that as a compliment?" Genevieve jokes and Caspian only smiles towards her.

"Of course!"

"Well, if you'd like, we can come back in a few years." Peter says as he turns in a joking matter.

"No! No, that's alright. You're just... You're not exactly what I expected." Caspian whispers as his gaze lingers to Susan who looks away.

"Neither are you!" Edmund admits as he looks at a minotaur.

"A common enemy unites even the oldest of foes." The badger, Trufflehunter interrupts their conversation and Genevieve's smile widens

"Are you Trufflehunter?" She asked and the badger nodded before bowing.

"Yes I am your majesty."

"You're spoken of highly of in this day and age. I have a few questions for you when we're in safer quarters." Genevieve says and the badger nods as he sends the Queen a smile.

"We have anxiously awaited your return, my liege. Our hearts and swords are at your service." Reepicheep says to Peter who nods at the mouse.

"Oh my gosh, he is so cute." Lucy whispers.

"Adorable even." Ron states as Reepicheep draws his sword.

"Who said that?!" He asks angrily and Ronald and Lucy share a guilty look.

"Sorry." They both mumble and the mouse's mood changes.

"Oh, uh... your majesty and good sir. With the greatest respect...I do believe courageous, courteous, or chivalrous might more befit a knight of Narnia."

"Well, at least we know some of you can handle a blade." Peter states happily.

"Yes, indeed. And I have recently put it to good use acquiring weapons for your army, sire." The mouse bows and Peter nods.

"Good. Because we‟re going to need every sword we can get."

"Well then, you'll probably be wanting yours back." Caspian gives Peter his sword. Peter sheathes it, and walks away as the others follow in tow - Susan and Genevieve lagging behind.

"Genevieve?" Susan asked once she knew nobody else would be listening.

"Yes?"

"I think we need to talk." Susan admitted and Genevieve looked at her in confusion.

"About what?"

"I know who Oliver is." Susan admits and Genevieve pauses for a moment before continuing to walk.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Genevieve mutters and Susan scoffs.

"Really? Then your little storytelling last night was nothing?" Susan asked and Genevieve froze as she turned to her sister in law in shock.

"I-"

"You need to tell him Genevieve!" Susan told her and Genevieve only shook her head.

"You don't understand!" She whispered and Susan only nodded.

"You're right, I don't." Susan says as she places her arm around Genevieve. "But he deserves to know about his own bloody child!"

Before Genevieve was able to reply, Edmund turns back and cups his hands from far away. "Can you two hurry up?"

"Just a minute." Susan shouts towards him before she turns to Genevieve with a stern look. "If you don't tell him Gen then I will and trust me he wont want to hear it from me."

That's when Susan walks off leaving Genevieve shocked and conflicted as she had so many things to tell Edmund.

But she didn't know how.
