fourteen

[fourteen: If it is a distraction for you, I can change form.]

Eustace leads the boat to the island where the blue star plummets above before he lets go of the ship and tiredly flies to the shore for a nap - Reepicheep and Ron smiling at him happily as he does so as they look at him honorably.

"You got us there! What did I tell you, Eustace?Extraordinary! Ha-ha-ha!Extraordinary!" Reepicheep shouts as the dragon lands on the sands - Ron stroking his scales as the rest take the longboats out to the island where they were.

Eustace barely manages to keep one eye open as Ron turns to leave, only being stopped as the dragon wrapped his claws around Ron's frame - the Lee boy smiling like an idiot as he turns to Eustace and brushes his hands over his scales.

"I'll be back soon, I promise." He whispers as he places a kiss on the dragons head and continues to stroke his scales. "Get some sleep love."

With that Eustace let go of his friend and closed his eyes, the ghost of a smile dancing across his face as he joins the rest of the crew - Genevieve sending him a knowing smile as she nudges him. They set upon foot onto the island, the darkness engulfing any sight of happiness as they all walk through the trees as Edmund leads the way with his torch as they walk into the darkness. They soon come across a table in the middle of a clearing, plated with fresh food that was freshly prepared prior. The crew circle the table as they look at it - Tavros especially looking with hungry eyes.

"Mmm. Food." Tavros whispers as he eyes the supplements on the table, his hand going to grab one before Drinian holds his arm out to stop him.

"Wait."

"Huh?"

Caspian cautiously walks over to the end of the tabke as he follows Edmund's lead, Edmund gasping as he shines his torch on something at the very end - causing the whole crew to draw their swords upon instinct. Genevieve and Edmund share a look as he shines his torch on the table again - the crew's eyes widening as they place their swords back to their sides. There, at the very end of the table sat three men - their bodies entranced as if paralyzed by some enchantment as they were surrounded by various vines and cobwebs. Caspian was wary for a moment before his eyes spotted the crests on their rings - his eyes widening and he sighs, wishing he could get the answers he longed for.

"Lord Revilian. Lord Mavramorn. Lord Argoz." He identified them as Lucy stood next to one of the Lord's, the girl jumping at the lord breathed on her. "He's breathing."

"So are they. They're under a spell." Edmund pointed out as they looked to the other two lords who were breathing but unmoving.

"It's the food!" Caspian shouted in realisation, his eyes darting to Tavros and Ron - who both had food in their hands, Ron's mouth filled with an apple he had began to eat.

"Huh?" Tavros asked as he dropped the apple, Ron's eyes widening as he spat out the food - coughing as he tried to eliminate the food from his system.

"Oh no I'm too young and beautiful to die." Ron whined as he held on to Genevieve's clothes, the girl raising her eyebrow and rolling her eyes as she hit him on the back of the head.

"Don't be so dramatic." She says before she spots a knife on the smile and motions Edmund over. "come look at this."

"Hey. It's the stone knife." Edmund stated with wide eyes as he looked at the table - a lion carved into it faintly. "This is Aslan's table."

"Their swords." Caspian whispers as he digs the three swords from the vines whilst they place the three swords they had already collected on the table. Ron takes the sword and turns to Caspian, who raises his brow. "On the table."

"That's six." Edmund whispers as the monarchs and the daring knight all share a common thought.

"Still missing one." Caspian states before Ron gasps.

"Look." Ron whispers as they all turn to the swords on the table.

The swords on the table begin to grow a brilliant azure, a beam of light shooting into the air as it catches the blue star in it's midst - the beautiful star glowing as it retreats to the soils of the island, a silhouette exempting from the azure it once was.

"Look!" Lucy whispers as they all turn to the sky.

The blue star falls into the silhouette of a beautiful woman, an ominous azure glow emitting from her features as she stares at the crew with a welcoming smile. She truly was beautiful, her look so infatuating that all the men seemed to be caught in a trance at her gaze - including Caspian and Edmund's whose eyes seemed to widen at her arrival much to Genevieve's dismay. The crew bow to the woman, Ron and Genevieve doing so cautiously as they send her hasty looks - unsure of whether she could really be trusted.

"Travelers of Narnia welcome." She started as she spread out her arms in a welcoming manner, eyeing every member of the crew with a smile. "Arise. Are you not hungry?"

"Who are you?" Edmund asked as the crew rose, Genevieve's eyes glancing worriedly between her husband and the star - the woman meeting Edmund's gaze with a soft smile.

"I'm Liliandil, daughter of Ramandu. I am your guide." She started and Caspian's eyes widened as he looked at her, entranced by her beauty.

"You're a star?" He asked and she only nodded. "You are most beautiful."

"If it is a distraction for you, I can change form." She worriedly glanced between them all.

"No!" Caspian and Edmund immediately said together, the two sharing a glare as they turned back to the woman.

Genevieve sighs bitterly for a moment as her eyes drop to the floor, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as she watched her husband fawn over the beautiful woman they ha just met. She quickly picks her sword up form the floor as she walks away from the table, brushing Edmund harshly on the way as she did so - but he did not realise immediately as his eyes stayed trained on the star.

"I'm going to find Eustace." She whispered to him and at that moment Edmund seemed to be released from his trance, the boy turning to his wife who refused to look at him as he walked away.

"Genevieve." He whispered as he grabbed her arm, only for her to softly pull it away - refusing to look at him.

"Don't Ed." She said as she hurried off, his eyes following her as she did so.

"You've really done it this time." Ron stated as he brushed passed Edmund again and chased after his cousin.

It should have been Edmund chasing after her.

"Please." Liliandil pleaded as she lit the candles on the table with a flick of her wrist. "The food is for you. There is enough for all who are welcome at Aslan's table. Always. Help yourselves."

"Wait. What happened to them?" Edmund asked as he shone his torch onto the men, the star frowning as she looked to them.

"These poor men were half-mad by the time they reached our shores. They were threatening violence upon each other." She stated as she turned to look at them with a frown again. "Violence is forbidden at the table of Aslan. So they were sent to sleep."

"Will they ever wake?" Lucy asked and the star smiled.

"When all is put right." She said before looking to Edmund, Caspian and Lucy with a smile. "Come... there is little time. The magician, Coriakin, told you of Dark Island?"

"Yes."

"Before long, the evil will be unstoppable." She stated as they all looked over at the island, green mist dancing around it as thunder echoed above in the skies.

"Coriakin said to break its spell, we lay the seven swords at Aslan's table." Caspian said and Liliandil nodded as she looked to the King.

"He speaks the truth."

"But we only found six." Caspian stated before his eyes widened. "Do you know where the seventh is?"

"In there. You will need great courage." She concluded as she pointed to the island, a smile dancing on her face as she turned to them with wide eyes. "Now, waste no time."

"I hope we meet again." Caspian whispered as he looked at the star who smiled.

"I'm afraid by that time you will have another my King." She whispered before she placed a kiss to his cheek. "Goodbye"

And then she retreated to the sky.
