four
[four: Let go of my wife you little shit!]
Where the sky and water meet,
Where the waves grow sweet,
Doubt not, Reepicheep,
To find all you seek,
There is the utter East
"That's pretty!" Lucy interrupted Reepicheep as he sang into the day - the noble mouse jumping from being startled before turning to the Valiant Queen and smiling.
"oh! Thank you." Reepicheep thanked the girl as a soft smile formed on his features. "A driad sung to me when i was just a materling. I can't divine the meaning but I never forgotten the words."
"What do you think is past Lone islands?" Lucy asked him and the mouse was thoughtful for a moment before he spoke.
"I've been told the furthest east one can sail is to the end of the world. Aslan's country." He stated and Lucy's eyes widened at this, smiling at the thought of the lion.
"Do you really believe there is such a place?"
"We have nothing if we do not believe." Reepicheep said simply and Lucy only nodded with eyes full of wonder.
"Do you think you can actually sail there?"
"Well, there is only one way of finding that out." Reepicheep stated with a smile as he looked at the Valiant queen. "Only hope one day I'd earn the right to see it. Your Majesty."

Everybody was gathered on the deck of the Dawn Treader, watching in anticipating as their eyes flicked between the two rulers who drew their swords to each other. Anticipation was floating in the air around them, captivating every individual as they watched the Eve walk towards the Just King and whisper in his ear.
"Ed," She whispered as she gave him a reassuring smile. "be careful!"
And with that the duel began! The sound of swords clashing and cheers being all that could be heard as the King of Narnia and the Just King battled with smiles on their faces. Genevieve and Ron watched from the side, amused smiles on their faces as they watched the two friends battle it out like old times - times that would never be made up again. Genevieve frowned at the thought, knowing that this time in Narnia would likely be their last as she had no idea what else she could learn from the experience when she had almost experienced everything. Her thoughts were interrupted however when victorious cheering began and both Caspian and Edmund began laughing - noting that the duel was done.
"You've grown stronger, my friend." Caspian complimented Edmund who only laughed as his eyes set on Genevieve who looked over the side of the ship with a smile.
"Seems I have."
"All right, back to work." Drinian ordered and the crowd of Narnians soon dispersed leaving Edmund, Lucy and Genevieve to stand looking over the edge of the deck at the azure below them.
"Edmund," Lucy interrupted the silence as her eyes met her brothers with a tint of worry lit within them. "do you think if we keep sailing to the end of the world we'll just tip off the edge?"
"Don't worry, Lu, we're a long way from there." Edmund replied, wrapping his arm around Genevieve who agreed immediately.
"No need to worry Lucy." She concluded before her eyes set on the boy walking towards them and she nudged Edmund, her husband rolling his eyes at the individual.
"I see you're still talking nonsense." Eustace stated as he looked at his cousins with incredulous eyes, absolutely unamused.
"Are you feeling better?" Lucy asked in worry, worried for her cousins health despite how ghastly he appeared to be to them.
"Yes, no thanks to you." Eustace stated with a scoff before he looked away. "It's lucky I have an iron constitution."
"We haven't been introduced, I'm Genevieve." Genevieve stated as she held her hand out to the boy whose eyes only widened as he stuck his nose up at the girl.
"Now I am dreaming, you're just his made up wife."
"As effervescent as ever, I see. Find your sea legs?" Reepicheep interrupted the situation with Ron by his side, who seemed to be subtly looking Eustace up and down with a smile - only to be caught by Genevieve who chuckled at him, making the boy go red.
"Never lost them. Simply dealing with the shock of things. Mother says I have an acute disposition, due to my intelligence. " Eustace stated factually and Edmund almost spat out his drink as he tried to hold in a laugh and Genevieve only tutted him, trying not to laugh herself.
"I don't think he has a cute anything." Reepicheep muttered and Eustace's eyes snapped up to him instantly with a glare.
"I'll have you all know, as soon as we find civilization I'm contacting the British Consul. Have you all arrested for kidnapping." Eustace screamed and Genevieve only rolled her eyes at this whilst Caspian walked forward and folded his arms over his chest - unamused.
"Kidnapping, is it? That's funny. I thought we saved your life." Caspian said and Eustace only rolled his eyes, losing his temper immediately.
"You held me against my will!"
"Did?" Caspian asked with an amused smile on his face.
"In, what I must say, are the most unhygienic quarters. It's like a zoo down there!" Eustace shouted, red clouding his eyes.
"Hey sweetcheeks," Ron interrupted making Eustace's look towards him. "would you rather of drowned?"
"E-excuse me?"
"It's a simple question; it was either we save you on you drown. I think we did you a favor sweetheart." Ron stated as he walked over and took Eustace's hand and shaking it. "Ronald Lee."
The group dispersed as Ron continued to speak to Eustace who looked like he had slightly calmed down and Caspian, Reepicheep, Lucy, Genevieve and Edmund walked to the other side of the deck.
"He's quite the complainer, isn't he?" Reepicheep asked and Edmund only sighed.
"He's just warming up."
"Land ho!"

"The Lone Islands. The port of Narrowhaven." Drinian stated as he turned the wheel, Caspian by his side looking through the telescope with a look of confusion on his face.
"Strange, not a Narnian flag in sight." Caspian stated and Edmund and Genevieve just furrowed their eyebrows at this.
"But the Lone Islands have always been Narnia's." Edmund stated as he looked through the telescope himself before letting Genevieve do so - the latter had confusion written across her face.
"Seems suspicious." Drinian stated.
"Extremely suspicious, I can't even catch a glimpse of a silhouette." Genevieve stated and Edmund only nodded as he took Genevieve's hand.
"I say we prepare a landing party." Edmund concluded before turning to the captain. "Drinian?"
"Forgive me, your Majesty..." Drinian started with a sad smile as he looked to the Just King.but the chain of command starts with King Caspian on this ship."
"Right." Edmund stated, feeling deflated which made Genevieve frown at him and she sent him a small smile which he returned.
"We'll use longboats." Caspian concluded as he compressed the telescope. "Drinian, pick some men and come ashore."
"Aye."
"Tavros." Caspian stated and the minotaur nodded as he turned to the crew.
"Man the longboats, furl the sail and prepare to drop anchor." Tavros stated and there was a lot of clambering on the ship and Genevieve just furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the island.
Something didn't add up!

"Onward! The thrill of the unknown lies ahead." Reepicheep stated cheerily and Genevieve giggled at him as she sat on Edmund's lap on the longboat, one of his arms staying around her whilst the other held onto the side of the boat before the landed at the shore - Edmund helping Genevieve off first.
"Couldn't this have waited till the morning?" Eustace asked, and Ron only laughed.
"As much as I'd like to sleep sweetcheeks, it appears adventure lies ahead." Ron stated and Eustace rolled his eyes.
"There is no honor in turning away from adventure, lad." Reepicheep added and Eustace only glared at him.
"Listen." Lucy stated and there was silence for a moment and that worried Genevieve greatly. "Where is everyone?"
"Come on, jelly legs." Reepicheep offered his help to Eustace who only swatted the mouse away.
"I'm capable of doing it myself." Eustace started before he fell onto the stone steps and Reepicheep sighed and Ron giggled as he helped Eustace up. "Oof!"
"And you're certain he's related by blood?" Caspian asked and Edmund only nodded as the King assessed the situation before a bell tolled, signalling sign of life as Caspian aimed his crossbow to the bell tower with a wary look on his face. "Reepicheep, stay here with Drinian's men and secure the place. We'll head on. If we don't come back by dawn, send a party."
"Yes your majesty." Reepicheep says and they go to turn until Genevieve speaks up.
"Ron will stay too," Genevieve stated and Ron only whined.
"Why do I have to miss out?"
"If something happens and all of us are gone then what will happen? Ron I need you to stay here." Genevieve says and Ron only rolls his eyes and nods.
They all dispersed. Caspian, Lucy, Edmund, Genevieve and Eustace walked aimlessly into the town - Genevieve questioning Eustace's presence as she asked if he'd like to go back but the boy only ignored her. Genevieve looked around warily, the sign of the deserted town frightening her as Edmund took her hand in a comforting gesture - but it didn't help.
"Something isn't right Ed." Genevieve whispered as they walked towards the bell tower. "It just doesn't feel safe here."
Eustace was a little way back, his eyes looking into every home until he stopped. He looked through the gaps of the door in a home near the bell tower and almost gasped at the sight of a family of four huddled together keeping quiet - as if scared of something that was lurking in the streets.
"Yeah, looks like nobody is in. Do you think we should head back?" Eustace asked and everybody turned back, Genevieve looking to agree before Edmund spoke.
"Do you want to come here and guard... something?" Edmund asked, a slight pause in his words before he replied.
"Ah, yes. Good idea, cousin. Very, uh... logical." Eustace stated as he ran over to where they all stood outside the bell tower, Eustace just staring until Caspian walked back and handed him a dagger. He looked to Genevieve for a moment with wide eyes as she motioned silently what to do if someone came over whilst everyone but she turned their backs on him. "I've got it. I've got it. Don't worry."
And with that Eustace turned around, Genevieve looking back at him before the door creaked open and the four monarchs stepped inside the bell tower. The four walked in carefully, spreading out as they examined the dark tower that seemed like it hadn't been looked after in years. Genevieve quickly rose her head to the ceiling, for a moment seeing a silhouette shifting in the darkness that caused her to stop as Caspian turned to her immediately.
"Genevieve? Are you alright?" He asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder and she just shook her head as she looked up.
"I thought I saw something." Genevieve muttered and Caspian rose his crossbow to the ceiling as he ventured forward, Genevieve removing her rings and hiding them in her socks before she took Caspian's spare sword - she didn't feel safe using them and exposing the secret of them here. Hesitantly she walked towards a book in the middle of the tower, names and signatures plastered across them in different pens - some of which had been crossed out.
"Who are all these people?" Lucy asked as she looked at the book over Genevieve's shoulder.
"Why have they been crossed out?" Edmund asked as the four of them hunched over the book in confusion.
"It looks like some kind of fee." Lucy stated and Genevieve's eyes widened as she looked at Caspian whose eyes were as wide as hers.
"Slave traders." They stated together.
And then the bells started tolling and the yelling began.
Men started coming down when the bells tolled, weapons on them as the group of four separated and raised their weapons to fight. Lucy stood a little while away and Caspian watched as someone came down beside her, the man lifting his crossbow to shoot.
"Look out!"
Caspian shot the man down as a battle commenced. Edmund battling bravely with his sword against one man who refused to give up whilst another man managed to disarm Genevieve whilst she was helping Lucy - leaving the girl to kick and punch the men as her only source of protection.
"Edmund," Genevieve shouted as she looked at her husband across the room as she watched a man run at him. "On your left."
Edmund was quick to retaliate as he kicked the man away whilst running to Lucy who was fighting bravely with her dagger - doing more in a battle than she had done in her Narnian adventures before.
Then they heard the scream.
The battle stopped as all heads turned to the doors, where a man was holding the one and only Eustace Clarence Scrubb in his arms - the dagger he had been using against his throat.
"Unless you want to hear this one squeal like a girl again," The man started as he advanced towards the battle with a smirk on his face. "I'd say you should drop your weapons."
"Like a girl?" Eustace asked disgusted, stopping after the man's grip tightened around him as nobody had dropped any weapon at all.
"Now!"The sound of weapons falling to the floor with a clatter was all that could be heard in that moment, the man eyeing Caspian who held a sword in his hand as he furrowed his eyebrows. "Put it down."
"Eustace." Edmund stated distastefully, looking at Eustace who was shivering in the man's grip and Genevieve frowned - it wasn't his fault.
"Put them in irons." The man declared as guards started walking towards the four, the man taking Eustace by the ear and pulling him forward.
"Come on. Come here, you."
"Get your hands off me!" Lucy screamed as she was detained, watching as Genevieve refused to squirm as they put the metal cuffs around her - this confused Lucy greatly.
"Let's take these three to market." The man suggested, eyeing Eustace, Lucy and Genevieve before looking at Edmund and Caspian with smirks. "Send those two to the dungeons."
"Listen to me, you insolent fool! I am your king!" Caspian shouted as he squirmed in the chains he was detained in.
"Let go of him!" Genevieve screamed as a man punched Edmund across the face.
"You're gonna pay for that." Edmund sneered before solitary footsteps could be heard walking into the room.
"Actually someone else is going to pay for all of you." A man stated as he stepped out of the shadows and cupped Genevieve's face. "You're a pretty one aren't you?"
"Let go of my wife you little shit!" Edmund shouted as Genevieve spat in the mans face, a guard retaliating by hitting her over the head with a fallen brick - Genevieve collapsing as she became lifeless before their eyes.
"Genevieve! No" Caspian shouted as he watched it all happen, he and Edmund being pulled one way whilst Eustace and Lucy were pulled the other.
"No! Edmund! Edmund!"
"Lucy!"
"No! Edmund!" Lucy screamed before she was gone and a guard walked in, picking up unconscious Genevieve's body and throwing her over his shoulder - infuriating Edmund.
"Genevieve! That's my wife you..." Edmund didn't get to finish his sentence as a hand was placed over his mouth.
Genevieve gone from sight!
