•Nico•
Two weeks have gone by since the walking ray of sunshine entered my life. Will Solace has been nothing short of annoying, annoying and really cute. His beautiful blue eyes, tanned surfer vibe, his shaggy blond hair, his freckles. Oh god, his freckles. They were like constellations all over him, they were so- NO! Nico stop!
I gave up on trying to do something with my hair and walked upstairs, where Hazel and dad were eating breakfast already. "Morning Nico," Hazel said, handing me a plate of eggs and bacon. "Morning," I said quietly, sitting down to eat my food. I poked at my eggs, taking a few bites here and there.
"Hey dad," Hazel said. "Yes?" Hazel took a deep breath. "Do you think it would be okay for Nico and I to go to this party tonight? It's not even like a real party. They're will only be like, ten people there," she finished, looking around nervously. My dad is an officer, and sort of intimidating.
"Who's going to be there?" He asked. Hazel said,"Piper, Jason, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Calypso, Frank, Rachel, Reyna." He scratched his chin like he was thinking about it. "I suppose, but you either need to be home by ten, or spend the night at one of the girls' houses," he said. Hazel smiled and said,"Don't worry, We're having a big sleepover at Piper's. And they are doing one at Leo's." He nodded.
Hazel said,"C'mon Nico, we gotta go." I got up and scraped my remaining food into the trash, putting my plate in the sink. I grabbed my backpack off the counter and said,"Bye dad, love you." "Bye," Hazel said to him. He looked up at us and said,"Have a good day guys, love you. "
(A/N: Am I the only one loving the good and overprotective dad vibe we're getting from Hades?)
I walked out front and waited for Hazel to grab whatever she forgot. She came out the door and we waited for Will.
Hazel said,"So, will you go to the party?" I sighed and nodded.
Hazel smiled and said,"Will's going too." I shook my head vigorously,"Nope. Not going." She sighed and said,"Nico. You can't just avoid him because you have a crush on him. He's gay, and single." She paused, winking at me. "He likes you." I shook my head again and said,"Will Solace does not like me." "What about me?" I heard his melodic voice and turned my head.
There he was. Wearing an orange polo under a grey jacket, jeans, and black converse. "Um...I-I....we," I stuttered. Thank the gods for Hazel. "I was trying to convince Nico to go to Leo's party and I said you would be there," she said, giving me time for my blush to fade. He smiled and said,"C'mon Nico, it will be fun. Pleaseeee?" My heart and soul melted together in that moment. The face he was giving me, the eyes, it was too much. "Fine," I mumbled. "Yes!" He yelled, and before I could register anything Will Solace was hugging me.
I wanted to pull away, or, I thought I did. I hated hugging and most any physical contact, but Will made my skin tingle. He was so warm, he smelled like, well it could only really be described as, well, Will. It smelled like Will. He finally let go of me and we continued walking like that exchange never happened.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see Hazel smirking ever so slightly. I shot her a side glare and she stopped smirking. The walk to school was fairly quiet, Will said a few things here and there.
"Hey guys," Will said. "Do you want to come over and do homework before the party? That way we can just get it done." Hazel shook her head and said,"Sorry, Frank is taking me somewhere after school. But Nico's free."
I wanted to strangle my sister in that moment, but I don't think it would be very affective with a future doctor and all around nice guy in the vicinity. "Cool, so, Nico?" He asked. I nodded my head because I didn't trust myself to speak. "Great!" He said happily.
We made it to the front of the school and went our separate ways. I walked to my class and Will walked to his. While Hazel walked to Frank, big surprise. I shook my head at the two of them and continued towards the classroom.

Will and I walked home in a half silence. I say the half because he was whistling the entire way home. "Will," I said, with an edge in my voice. He laughed and stopped whistling. I nodded at him and we walked the rest of the way in silence.
We came to the big yellow house and Will led me up to the door. He opened it and we walked inside. "Dad! I'm home!" Will yelled into the seemingly unoccupied space. Then a man who looked sort of like an adult Will came walking in the room. He wore a shirt that said: Surfer Vibes. Will had his soft blue eyes and blond hair.
"Hey Will! Who's this?" He asked, gesturing to me. "This is Nico di Angelo," Will said. He held out his hand and I hesitated, but shook it briefly. "Nice to meet you Nico!" He said happily. "You too Mr. Solace." He shook his head and said,"Please, call me Lester. Anyway, Will, Naomi will be home tomorrow." Will smiled and said,"Well, we have homework to do. Then we're going to the party at Leo's." Lester said,"Okay, don't overwork yourself, take a break in a few minutes okay?" Will nodded and said,"C'mon Nico."
He walked upstairs and I followed slowly, taking in my surroundings. Will stopped at a yellow door and opened it, stepping aside for me. I walked in, looking around the room.
The bed was a dark wood with white and yellow striped bedding. Three of the walls were yellow and the other one, where his bed was, was white. There was some cardboard boxes in the corner. There were a few pictures on the walls in black frames, a wooden desk the same color as the bed, and light wood floors. There was a big window on the left wall, lots of light.
"What do you think?" He asked, closing the door. I shrugged and said,"I-It's, um, very, bright." Will laughed,"Indeed. So, shall we start on homework?" I nodded and pulled my books out of my bag with shaky hands.
We finished all of our homework and Will looked at his phone. "There's still another few hours until the party. Do you wanna hang out here, or do you want to go home?" He asked. I bit my lip, my mind was telling me to go home. "Sure. What do you want to do?" Great Nico, just great.
I should've said no, but here I am, listening to Will tell me how to play Never Have I Ever. He smiled and said,"So those are the rules. But we're going to have a little twist. Winner gets to pick the other person's outfit for the party. Deal?" I rolled my eyes,"Whatever Solace." He handed me a glass of water. "The game is normally played with alcohol, but we keep it pure in this house. It's also normally played with other people, but eh, who needs them?" He said, causing me to laugh.
The game finally ended and I lost. By like, one drink of water. Will smirked evilly and said,"That means I get to pick out you're outfit." I sighed,"Okay, but I swear if you try and make me wear all bright colors I will rip your eyes out of their sockets and feed them to my dog." He raised his hands in surrender and said,"Alright. But if you want, you can still pick my clothes." I raised an eyebrow, confused. "Why? I don't even trust me that much, you shouldn't either." He shrugged.
I walked into his closet and came out almost immediately. I handed the clothes to Will and he walked to the bathroom.
I think my jaw hit the ground when Will walked back into the room. He looked. Woah. I mean, don't get me wrong, he can definitely pull off bright colors, but the change was nice. He had on a grey t-shirt, a leather jacket, navy pants, and white high-top converse.

"Off to your house!" He stated, grabbing his backpack for the night at Leo's.
We waved goodbye to Lester and crossed the street. Frank's car was parked in our driveway. I sighed, pulling out my key and unlocking the door.
I walked inside and Will closed the door behind him. The alarm quietly beeped, signaling that someone had entered the house. I ran a hand through my hair and said,"Sorry. My dad, he's a cop and is insistent on having all kinds of security." Will nodded politely.
I walked up the stairs and knocked on Hazel's door. "Come in!" She yelled. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the bed. Frank was sitting on the desk chair, doing something on his phone. "What's up Nico?" She asked. "I just wanted to know what time the party was, I forgot," I stated. Frank looked up and said,"Leo said to be there around 8." I nodded and closed the door, walking down to the kitchen.
I opened the door to the basement and gestured for Will to follow me. I was about halfway down but my stupid shoe was untied.
I didn't realize I was falling until his hand shot out and grabbed my arm. "Woah, easy there," Will said, not releasing his grip.
I moved my arm awkwardly and said,"thanks." I made it the rest of the way down and flicked the light switch. My dark blue walls were visible now, as well as everything else. The floors were dark hardwood, my bed was black and grey. I kicked my shoes off and looked at my phone. It was 6:30.
"Cool room. Now where's your closet?" Will asked. I pointed to a grey door on the other side of the room. Will disappeared into the small space and I grabbed my remote.
I turned on the TV to something random and pulled out my phone to scroll through Instagram. Will came back a few minutes later with an outfit, that unfortunately did not consist of black and gray.
I grabbed the clothes and walked to the bathroom. Shutting the door, I placed the clothes on the edge of the bathtub. I fiddled with my hair in the mirror but had no such luck doing anything with it
After putting everything on I walked out of the bathroom. Will was at my desk, looking at something carefully. I stuck my hands in my pockets and walked over to him.
"Who's this?" He asked, pointing to picture. I felt my chest tighten. "No one," I said quietly. The picture was of me and Bianca when I was 10. Before.
He frowned,"Nico, what's wrong?" "Nothing!" I snapped. He set the picture down and backed away.
I ran a hand through my hair. "Sorry," I said. My chest tightened a little more. "I-I just, don't like to talk about it. Bianca, she, she's my sister." His face softened and he said,"Where is she now?" My heart was being choked now. "Uh, dead."
His face dropped. I sat back on my bed and let me legs hang off the end. Will sat down next to me and said,"I'm sorry Nico, I shouldn't have asked." I shrugged. "It's okay, it was almost seven years ago."
He sat next to me and let the silence fill the room.
"By the way, you look really nice," Will said.
Nico's outfit (minus the longboard though)
