chapter thirteen
"Can we go on a double date?" Maicee asked Haven as they sat in the gym preparing for auditions.
"I've always wanted to do that." Haven smiled, making her smile back.
"Right! I never had a close friend to do it with, Tyke used to want us to do it with Key, but I always said no because imagine Sapphire and me alone together? Tuh."
"Let's go rock climbing," Haven said, making Maicee look at her blankly.
"Why we gotta do something athletic?" She frowned. "Why not something like the sex museum or something."
"You're just lazy, but we can go Saturday since they have a game Friday."
"Not us making plans without confirming it with them."
"They have no choice." Haven chuckled.
After two hours, all the auditions were done, and Haven was disappointed because there wasn't anybody that stood out to them but one person. She needed to find one more, or they wouldn't be able to participate in any competitions meaning their dancing season would be over.
"Let's hope tomorrow's auditions are better," Maicee spoke, walking to her car.
Mac walked towards the car with Sapphire making Maicee get on 10 as Haven just prepared for the unnecessary drama.
She didn't understand, she was never the one to be in drama, but it seems like every day it's something. She barely talked, so she didn't understand how drama always came towards her; she needed a cleanse from people.
"Why are you coming towards me?" Mai asked.
"I'm riding with you today, my car in the shop."
"So that's where you need to be because you are not getting in my damn car, and she damn sure not either."
"Girl, bye," Mac spoke, trying to open the door, but Maicee pressed the lock button.
"Actually." She pressed the unlock button. "I dare one of y'all to sit in my car, and I promise to beat y'all the fuck up."
"Can we not?" Haven sighed. "Maicee, it's annoying for this fight or any fight between us; y'all are sisters, we all are. I have never done anything to both of y'all, so what is the problem?"
"That's the problem; you act like you so damn dumb when we all know you the smartest of us here," Sapphire spoke. "I don't have a problem with you because you Flaire sister, I have a problem because I'm tired of your ass always pulling the sweet girl card."
"I'm not playing anything," Haven spoke, furrowing her eyebrows. "I am a nice person, and I don't like the drama, and I don't like all this arguing and fighting. I've always expressed that since you knew me so, this is why I'm confused."
"While your sister and I were arguing, you just sat there and-"
"What did you want me to do, Sasa? Fight my own sister so she could shut up?"
"You should've done something; it's that simple."
"You started with her! My sister is anything but a bully, so don't expect me not to tell you when you are wrong. You've always thrown little shots towards her, and she always ignored them because you were my friend. You ruined your relationship, not her; you were too insecure to be in a relationship."
Maicee face tilted in surprise; she couldn't believe she was standing up for herself, let alone Flaire. She loved it.
"There is nothing I could've said. In that diner, you were looking for a reason, and you got it."
"I mean, let's finally be honest," Maicee spoke. "You had a side nigga, and that's why you were so insecure because all that shit you did, you thought he was doing it to you."
"Girl, bye." Sasa waved her off.
"Shit, that was probably his baby." Maicee chuckled.
"Stop, Maicee; we're not insulting her. We're trying to get down to everything."
"There's nothing to get down to Haven; this girl is not your friend! Real friends don't do shit out of anger, and you need to understand that. I told you we don't beg for nobody fucking friendship."
"I'm not begging; I'm just trying to understand everything."
"As she said, I was never your real friend, and obviously, you weren't mine."
"You know I'm starting to think this a sign from God; you're so weird," Haven spoke, starting to get irritated. "You can say anything you want, but to say I wasn't a good friend to you is anything, Sapphire. I have been the best friend someone can have."
"Finally. Stand up for yourself as you fucking should." Maicee spoke proudly that she was using the voice.
She knew Haven was never a punk, but she didn't like the drama, it physically made her sick, and she respected that.
"And what did I do to you?" Haven turned her attention onto Mackenzie. "Sapphire has her reason of Flair, but what did I possibly do to you?"
"It's real simple; I started seeing the real you." Mac shrugged.
Haven would talk about people, she'll make jokes, but as soon as she was in someone's face, she couldn't bear even to make eye contact. Haven was a punk who always wanted someone to fight her battles, and she was selfish.
"What does that mean?" Haven asked, confused.
"I don't even know why you are trying to talk to me; we ain't finna be friends, so why are you trying to hash it out? It'll never be a friendship again."
"I'm trying to talk to you because you were my sister, and it sounds like you had a problem with me for a long time, and I just wanna know why."
"It doesn't matter." Sapphire jumped in. "We're not friends with you or her, and we don't want to be."
Keygan, Ezra, Tyke, Seven, and more boys came out of the school looking. Ezra furrowed his eyebrows; seeing them, he couldn't hear them, so he started walking towards them some more to hear everything.
"Bitch, I don't wanna be friends with your raggedy ass. You the nastiest bitch there is, first it was Steven then Keygan then back to that nigga from 3rd then Steven again still with Kee."
"You don't know what you are talking bout, so I'm not even entertaining this."
"Oh yeah, it was another nigga in the mix, right? Uh, what was his name?" Maicee said, trying to think.
"Maicee, stop," Haven spoke, seeing the boys were here and listening now.
"Oh!" Maicee snapped. "Shawn!"
"Maicee!" Haven said louder. "He passed away; be respectful."
"For what? She wasn't respectful to me, all bets off the table when this bitch wanna bring shit onto social media cause now Imma say everything to her and make that shit hurt until the point she wanna get her ass beat."
"Obviously, this won't be resolved; nobody else wants to try but me, so I just ask, can we just stop the drama? I don't want to argue with you guys, and I don't want us to be fighting each other."
"Haven, give it up. The fuck?!" Sapphire yelled. "It's beef now; it's that simple."
"But it doesn't have to be; just because we're not friends doesn't mean we have to beef. We can literally forget about each other."
"After the shit that was just said? It's beef."
"Oh, you talking about your dead ass boyfriend?" Maicee laughed.
"Nah, I'm talking about Haven, dead ass mom." She smirked back as Mac started laughing like it was the funniest thing ever.
Everybody's eyes literally went wide as tears came to Haven's eyes; she couldn't believe what she heard. She couldn't believe her mom was used as a punch line when she didn't even throw the first shot.
"C'mon, pretty girl," Ezra spoke as tears came down her eyes.
"You wrong as hell." Keygen looked at her in disgust.
Haven just stood there in shock; she couldn't believe this was her best friend who cried with her when her mom died. This the same girl who held her up from being a complete mess at her mom's funeral, she was her rock, and now she's nothing.
Haven did something she never thought she did.
She lifted her fist, connecting it to Sapphire's face twice.
Sapphire fell as everybody grew in shock, including her.
Ezra pulled Haven away as Tyke got into Maicee car, telling her to hurry; security was called, and they didn't want either one of them to get in trouble.
Ezra opened the door, putting her in the car as he walked around to get in the car; he wasn't going to say anything until she did, but he didn't know where to take her. He didn't know if she was in the mood to go home or if she wanted to come with him.
"Take me home, please." She mumbled quietly as he nodded his head. Luckily, they were already heading in that direction.
He spent the 7-minute ride with his head running crazy; he just wished he could see what was going through her mind. He just wanted to be there for her.
"Just call me when you ready pretty girl." He spoke as he pulled up to her house.
"Thank you for this; I'll call you later." She kissed his cheek, hurrying to get into the house.
She was so heartbroken. She could've understood if she and Sapphire never talked again, but she crossed a line she thought she would never.
"Hay, are you okay?" Genesis asked, seeing her little sister so distraught.
Haven just went into her arms, crying her eyes out as Genesis just hugged her tight, not talking at all.
Friendship breakups can definitely be more hurtful than a relationship breakup.
~
"Ma, tell the dummy if her friend comes; she going to watch her friend get beat up every time because now I'm not sparing her," Maicee spoke, walking into the house.
"Who you calling a dummy?" Mac asked.
"Bitch, you!"
"Watch your mouth." Their eldest brother, Marcus, spoke.
"Damn, y'all still beefing?" Their other brother, Mitchell, asked.
"Don't understand how it's possible to beef with someone who shares a face with you." Marcus shook his head.
"Because she such a follower, and it's disgusting. All I ever do is bail her out of the shit and handle all of her fights because I wouldn't dare allow my sister to get beat up, but she's begging to get beat up! You know Sapphire talked about Haven's mother, and this dummy laughed like it was funny?! As if we all weren't a hot ass mess when Mrs.Galore died!"
"You laughed?" Mitchell asked, scrunching his face along with their mother and Marcus.
"What is wrong with you? That's disgusting." Their mother asked, standing up.
"And she decided to get off the dancing team because Sapphire punk-ass quit knowing if we don't have a certain amount of girls, we'll have to end the team."
"Wassup with you?" Marcus asked as they all looked at her.
"When you start following behind people? We ain't never been raised to be the follower; we have always been taught to be independent." Mitchell spoke. "You always the one who first to suggest some shit, you be demanding shit like you run shit so when that change?"
"When she became a punk-ass bit-"
"Enough." Her mother cut her off. "I don't even know what to say to you; you know you wrong because you not saying anything. You're going to apologize. Actually, we're all about to go over to Haven house, and you're going to apologize and beg to be back on that team."
"But I don't want to dance anymore."
"And why not?"
"I just don't."
"As I said, you're going to beg to be back on that team." She spoke, making Mackinzee roll her eyes. "You wanna try that again?"
"No, ma'am."
"That's what I thought; put your stuff down. Let's go, Mai; you coming too."
"I'm coming too," Mitchell spoke.
"I gotta go to work but let me know how the outcome," Marcus said as they all walked out the door.
They all walked out the door getting into Mai's car with her driving; she hated when her mother was in the car because she would have to drive like she was a saint.
Once they arrived at Haven's house, they all got out of the car, ringing the doorbell. Genesis came to the door quite confused, but she welcomed them in so they wouldn't have to be standing outside.
"Haven's upstairs in her room; I don't think she's in the mood to have company," Genesis told them.
"We're here because my daughter owes Haven an apology to her face; she actually owes all of y'all an apology."
"I'm confused. Do y'all know why Haven upstairs crying? She wouldn't tell me, and I didn't want to push."
"Hi sister, I have the best news ever, and I- oh hey y'all." Indigo smiled, coming downstairs just as Flaire and Brat walked through the door.
"Because I'll drop that bitch on her head." Flaire laughed.
"Inflate her big ass water head," Brat added.
"Oh hey, Gina." Flaire smiled at Mac and Mai's mother. "What's wrong?"
"Why Haven not down here?" Indigo asked. "She knows y'all here? I'll go get her."
Before Genesis could stop her, Indigo flew up the stairs; Devon came to sit on the couch, confused about why Mai and her family were here but didn't say anything.
"What's wrong, sister? You been crying?" Flaire asked, seeing Haven's face puffed up.
"I'm fine." She spoke, bringing her attention to Mai's mom. "Hi, Ms.Gina."
"Hey, Haven baby, Mac is here to apologize to you."
"Sorry, Haven," Mac spoke, making her mother turn to her, and if looks could kill, they would've been planning her funeral. "I apologize, Haven; I haven't been acting like a friend lately, and I didn't want things to be this bad, but they are."
"Oh shit!" Indigo yelled, making everybody look at her. "Haven gave Sapphire a black eye!"
"What? Let me see that." Devon asked, standing up.
Haven's heart started beating as she started to feel embarrassed; she didn't like the limelight of her name connected to violence. She just wanted to go in the room and lock herself up because she knew this would be the talk of school tomorrow.
"It's my sister for me." Flaire smiled. "I just knew you weren't adopted."
"Can y'all relax? Company is here." Genesis asked. "We can discuss this once they leave."
"I want to be back on the dance team if you'll have me," Mac spoke.
"I don't know what happened between you guys, but I do know I didn't raise my children to be cowards or be so damn problematic. I apologize to you, Haven, and your family as well because she is my child no matter how disappointed I am right now."
"Thank you for the apology, Ms.Gina." Haven slightly smiled. "But I don't want Mackenzie as a friend or my dance partner."
Genesis's eyes widened in shock as everybody eyes shot to Haven.
"These past few weeks, Mac and Sapphire treated me terribly because of something that had nothing to do with me. They wanted to fight Flaire and took their anger out on me when they simply could've just fought Flaire. I've begged them these past weeks to forgive me for something I didn't have to apologize for, and today proved to me they were never my friends."
Haven was tired of crying about other people's behavior; everyone was either careful about what they had to say or too mean. Her mom would be ashamed of the things she let people slide with, and she realized that today when Sapphire felt comfortable enough to talk about her dead mom.
"Sapphire talked about my mom, and she laughed so loudly as if she wasn't crying louder once my mom died. She isn't my friend, and I don't ever want to talk to her again." Haven spoke, letting the tears fall out of her eyes.
"Hold on, back up." Flaire chuckled, standing up.
"Oh, Lord," Genesis spoke, standing up along with Devon to block Mackenzie.
"Who did what?" Flaire asked, but nobody answered, making her get madder. "Who did what?!"
"Stop yelling, Flaire," Genesis spoke.
"Ms.Gina, I thank you for coming over and not allowing this to keep going on any longer, but I think it would be in all our best interest that Mackenzie leave," Devon spoke.
"I agree," Gina spoke, looking at Mackenzie to tell her to let's go.
Before they could get to the door, Indigo went towards Mackenzie, grabbing her by her hair dragging her while everybody tried to get her off her. She swung to hit Mac in the back of her head multiple times until Devon grabbed her hand.
Indigo was little, but she was strong; she worked out almost every day.
"You got some nerve to laugh at my mom's death as if she didn't help your family when y'all was starving and on the verge of being evicted. My mom would've given her last to you because she considered you family, and you wanna laugh like she wasn't the best person in the world?" Indigo yelled.
"Indigo, calm down," Genesis spoke.
"Y'all are going to get enough of using my mom's death as a joke; I'm going to make an example out of all of y'all. Mark my words because I put that on my mom!" She yelled as Devon took her out of the room.
"I'm so sorry; I'm trying to teach my sisters they don't have to fight to solve all their problems-"
"She has every right to want to fight because she right! Ms.Galore once did give us her last, and I want to beat Mac up myself." Mai cut her off.
This was a battle she wasn't fighting for her sister.
"Let me walk y'all out," Genesis spoke, making sure everybody was cool, but before Mac could get in the car, she stopped her. "My sisters are still healing, but I've made peace with everything to be able to forgive you for this. Although you weren't the one to throw the jab, you may have well been. I'm not mad at you, but I'm so disappointed in you; I used to change your diapers along with my mom; at a point, you used to say she was your second mom; I hope you can get rid of this anger. I'll pray for you."
"Thank you, Genesis, let them girls know I love them," Gina spoke, getting in the car.
"They know, but I'll remind them."
Genesis walked into the house seeing her little sisters and husband standing in the living room as she shook her head. She couldn't tell her sisters how to react because they were still healing from the situation.
"You calm?" Genesis asked.
"No, I'm not. I want to kill them. Hands around my throat watching them take their last breath."
"Indigo, don't say stuff like that outside of this house; you'll get locked up."
"I need to be to prevent me from putting my hands on Sapphire tomorrow. I'm going to kill her."
"I'm going to her house," Flaire spoke, grabbing Brat's keys.
"No, you aren't; you can get locked up like that. That's trespassing and-"
"Genesis, she's not going to stop until I humble her! That's why she keeps trying me because she doesn't understand what I would do to her."
"Flaire, I'm telling you you aren't going to that girl's house. I don't want to tell y'all how to handle y'all grief, but I am responsible for you, and I don't want you to go. Please just listen to me."
"Then I'm going to the hospital because if I sit in here, all that anger going to do is overflow."
"That's fine. Brat, please call me if she decides to go to Sapphire house."
"I got you."
"I'm not playing Desiree."
"I got you, Genny." She spoke, grabbing her car keys back from Flaire as they walked out the door. "You finna meet up with her, ain't you?"
"Yup." She pulled out her phone calling Key.
"What you want?" Key answered.
"Call Sapphire for me and tell her to meet you somewhere."
"Flaire, I would do anything for you, but I'm not doing it. Imma disrespect that bitch if I talk to her again."
"Keygan, she talked about my mom." She said softly, making him sigh loudly.
"I'll let you know wassup."
Brat shook her head, she knew her best friend was growing, but she also knew she wasn't going to let this go until she fought Sapphire.
Brat looked at her phone ring, deciding not to answer it; Flaire looked over at her phone, then at her, and shook her head.
She knew Brat liked Blaire, so him disrespecting her hurt her feelings.
"Let's go to the hospital until Key tells me something; I got a feeling it's going to take some time anyway."
"Bet," Brat spoke.
~
"You need to calm down." Devon looked at Indigo as she was on the couch rolling a stress ball.
"Leave me alone."
"You can't beat me." He chuckled.
"It doesn't matter, if someone not in the mood to be bothered, don't keep agonizing them because once I start getting disrespectful, your feelings are going to be hurt, so just walk away from me."
"Who feelings gon be hurt?" Devon asked. "What the fuck your young ass could say to me that could ever hurt my feelings?"
"Devon, please stop," Genesis spoke with a headache forming.
Her sisters were annoying her so much. One fought so damn much she was literally on thin ice, the other one was too nice for her own good that shit keeps happening to her, and the last one was starting to act like the other one.
They were stressing her out, and she was getting real tired of shit.
"I'm leaving," Indigo spoke.
"Where are you going?"
"Out."
"I said where you are going! I think y'all fucking forget who takes care of y'all; where the fuck are going?"
"Sevyn house." She rolled her eyes.
Indigo went to take a shower then got dress in some comfortable clothes. Sevyn's house was only a 10-minute walk, so she started walking while thinking. She was still a tad bit upset and wished she could calm down.
Hopefully, Sevyn helped.
Ringing his doorbell, she waited a few seconds until his father opened the door.
"Hello, do Sevyn know you're here?"
"Yeah, he told me just to ring the doorbell to go in his room until he got back." She lied.
"Okay."
He stepped to the side to let her in as she rolled her; he always questioned her. She knew he didn't like her, but she didn't like him either because he never gave her a chance.
Walking into his room, she took off her shoes and laid in his bed. She knew it'd be a minute because he was at football practice. She got on Instagram, seeing many people commenting under the video of Haven punching Sapphire; she made sure nobody came out the side of their neck.
Deciding to get on live, she waited for people to join before she started talking.
"Y'all all messy as hell." She chuckled, watching her views go from 2 to 49 real quick. "Hi sister, you at the hospital yet?"
_ohsoyouFlaire Just got here, sister, wya? Cause you not home beloved.
LaniiBanni, xo_Havenn, Macdamack and 5 others joined your live.
"It's a lot of unknowns and bitches who don't like me on the live." Indigo chuckled. "Weirdo hoes."
xo_Havenn Where you go, sister?
"I'm at my man's house, sisters." She smiled. "Sisters, we're going to FaceTime once I hang up because we need to talk."
A bunch of laughing emojis came through, making her scrunch her face up, so she decided to end her live because it was a bunch of weird shit going on in her head.
"Hi, sistersss." She dragged out, making Flaire and Haven look at her weird.
"Why you so happy?" Haven asked.
"You been fucking?" Flaire asked.
"Having sex makes you this happy?" Haven asked. "Maybe I need to try."
"Havennn!" Flaire yelled, shocked as Indigo's eyes went wide.
"Not my sister throwing fist and ass," Indigo spoke, making both Haven and Flaire start to scream.
"I hate y'all." Brat laughed.
"Oh hey, sister, that's not blood-related." Indigo smiled.
"Why you so happy, sister? Sevyn ate that pussy?" Brat asked.
"Not yet." She smiled. " Let me add Genesis to the call to tell y'all the good news."
"Hello?" Genesis's face popped up as she was lying with Alana.
"I tried to tell y'all before I got into the elite cheerleading camp for the summer." Indigo squealed.
"Yes, my sister finna bring it on," Flaire spoke excitedly.
"Where is it?" Genesis asked.
"California."
"For the whole summer?"
"No."
"Three weeks. July 26th to August 16th."
"We'll talk more about it when you get home." She spoke as Alana started crying. "I want everybody to be in the house by 8, Devon's cooking, and want us to have a family dinner."
"Is he making stuffed shells?" Brat asked, getting in the camera.
"Girl, yes." Genesis rolled her eyes.
Every time Brat came to town; she just had to have some stuffed shells.
"I'll be there!" Brat spoke.
"Alright, I need to put her asleep. Make sure y'all here."
They watched Genesis hang up as they started talking about everything under the sun making all three girls cheer up. They didn't understand how they were so disconnected just so many weeks ago; they were each other first friends and needed to act like it.
"Lani, you be blowing my shit. You act like I don't- Indigo." Sevyn spoke, shocked as he walked into his room. "Wassup, baby girl, I didn't know you were here."
"I surprised you." She smiled, going to him as their lips connected. "Who you on the phone with?"
"My cousin Lani."
"I keep hearing that name." Indigo furrowed her eyebrows. "But I have some exciting news to tell you."
"Imma call you back, Lani," Sevyn spoke as he put his phone in his pocket, looking at his girlfriend. "What's exciting?"
"I got accepted to the cheerleading camp!" She squealed, jumping on him making him smile as he started getting excited with her.
"I told you, you had that shit in the bag. I'm so proud of you, baby."
"Thank you; I wouldn't have applied if it wasn't for you. I'm so grateful for you."
"I'm grateful for you, baby, more than you know."
"Were you there to see Haven punch Sapphire?"
"Yeah." He nodded as he sat down on his bed, putting Indigo in his lap. "That video doesn't do justice; she hit Sapphire with one of the hardest hits I've ever seen."
"I somewhat fought Mac today."
"What?" He furrowed his eyebrow. "When?"
"Her mother bought her over to apologize, and I just got mad. I'm tired of people talking about my mom; they think using her as an insult hurts, but it doesn't. It makes me want to kill them, then bring them back, then kill them a worse way."
"My little psycho." He smiled, making her chuckle. "I understand what you are saying, and I could never tell you how to react to anything I've never been through, but you are starting to get like Flaire."
"I've never understood my sister until recently; she doesn't fight because she likes to. She fights because people are dumb fucking humans. Sometimes people need to get beat up to understand to stop fucking with you."
"I don't want you to keep fighting, though."
"And I'm not; I just gotta actually fight Mac and Sapphire, then I won't have a reason to fight anyone."
"I don't even want you to do that, but if you have to, I'll be there to make sure you good."
"As you always are." She smiled, kissing him.
She slipped her tongue into his mouth, making him grip her tighter as she smiled into the kiss grinding on him, which always made him horny. Indigo could always make him horny.
He laid her down on the bed as they never broke their kiss; he was about to pull down her pants when a knock sounded on the door. He screamed in his head as Indigo sat up, trying to act normal.
"Come in." He yelled, covering his pants with a pillow.
"Sev, I need- oh wassup Indi?" His older brother, Deuce, spoke. "I ain't know you were here."
"Hi, Deuce," Indigo spoke.
"I'm ruining something?"
"You think nigga?"
"My bad." He chuckled.
"It's fine; I have family dinner to get to anyway."
"You walked here?"
"Yes."
"I'll take you."
He stood up, wiping his hand through his head, shaking it; he grabbed his car keys as he started walking downstairs. He saw his mom making him stop in his tracks.
"Hi, Mrs.Wright." Indigo smiled as she went into her arms she was holding out.
"Hey ms.thang." She smiled, hugging her, making Indigo smiled.
She loved his mom, hated his dad.
"Are you staying for dinner?"
"No, I have to have dinner with my sisters."
"And when can I meet them?" She smiled. "I already know the wonderful Flaire; I want to meet everybody else."
"Maybe we can all have dinner sometime next week; I'll talk to my sisters about it."
"Okay, baby, see you later."
Indigo hugged her again then opened the door, not bothering to speak to his father. They got into the car, but he had to run back because he forgot to ask Deuce what he needed. As soon as he got out of the car his phone started ringing.
She looked to see Lani, but she didn't answer because she didn't feel like talking to anybody or leaving a message.
Sevyn got in the car, kissing her cheek, then starting the car; his phone started ringing, making him look down at it, pressing the lock button so it can be quiet. It started ringing again, making Indigo raise an eyebrow.
"Why you not answering?"
"Because she is calling for some damn money, I told her Imma cashapp her, but I was lying." He chuckled.
"Answer." She handed him his phone as his heart dropped while getting annoyed.
"Since when you on this type of time? You being weird."
"You fucking being weird, when do you not answer your phone around me?"
"I'm driving; it's illegal."
"Answer the phone." She spoke as it started ringing again. "And put it on speaker."
"Hello? Brah, you keep calling me; I just told you imma send your money I'm driving."
"Yeah, hurry up and do that cause you know you owe me some money."
"Man, I don't owe you shit." Sevyn chuckled. "You blowing my phone up while I'm with my girlfriend, and she thinking it's something else."
"Tell my cousin-in-law to stop tripping; he loves you," Lani spoke, making him chuckle.
"She big tripping, Imma send you your money as soon as I get in." He spoke, hanging up. "You feel secure now?"
"I been feeling secure, but one thing for certain you not finna play with me, and that's on my daddy."
"Nobody tryna play you the fuck, ain't nobody bringing you around my family to play you. You blowing my shit, and it's making me mad."
"Get mad then, you a grown man, you can feel how you wanna feel. I was wrong, and I apologize, but I'm going to make sure a nigga not playing with me every time. I'm young, but I ain't dumb, and if you didn't know, you know now. Talk to you later."
With that, she got out of the car without kissing him or even hugging him because she was now annoyed.
She felt like she knew a lot about relationships because she was raised around love and knew how she deserved to be treated. She wouldn't be one of those girls who accept getting disrespected.
It was a privilege to be in her life.
