Chapter eight

Flaire woke up getting ready for school sighing, them three days she was suspended didn't do her no justice. She felt like everything happened yesterday, once she was ready she laid back down because she knew her sisters wasn't ready.

Indigo was in the mirror fixing Haven frontal while Haven sat there on Facetime with Ezra, this was their thing. They would get on Facetime around 10/11 then hang up when they both left the house for school.

Haven was catching feelings. Fast.

"You talked to Sapphire?" Ezra asked.

"No, she blocked me. I wasn't expecting her to talk to me, my sisters basically tagged teamed her."

"Um, no we didn't I punched her punk ass by myself and instead of doing something she wanted to yell around like somebody was skinning her."

"Y'all not ready right now, right?" Devon asked walking in the room.

"No." Both said in unison.

"I gotta leave right now, so I'll put y'all in a Lyft or something."

"Okay." Haven and Indigo both said.

"I'll come get y'all." Ezra said.

"You don't have to do that."

"Yes the hell he do." Devon said. "Save me some damn money, good looks E."

Ezra laughed, Devon was always a funny ass nigga. "I'm leaving out in like ten minutes so y'all better have y'all selves together."

"I'm ready." Haven spoke.

"Word." Indigo agreed.

"One of y'all go wake Flaire up." He said knowing Flaire was always the first one up so she can go back to sleep.

But Flaire was awoke because Ra woke her up, she was waiting up him to pick her up while doing little things making sure she had everything. Haven knocked on her door because she know she hated when people just walked in.

"Yeah?" Flaire said as Haven walked in.

"Devon had to work early so Ezra is coming to get us."

"It's fine, Ra coming to get me."

"Ain't you getting a lil too close to this nigga?" Ezra asked making her grab Haven phone.

"First of all, do I get in the way of you getting close to all your hoes? My sister excluded."

"Shut up." He chuckled. "Just be safe."

"Always."

"Then you can go."

"Boy the fuck bye." She laughed handing her her phone. "Why you still standing here? What?"

"Do he talk to any other girls?"

"Why you got me muted?" She heard Ezra ask.

"Hay, I'm not him. I can't answer that but as far as I know he don't talk to anybody, if he did I wouldn't let him play you."

"Okay." She nodded.

"Just make sure you not dumb behind him, I love him like he's my brother but at the end of the day he still a nigga and niggas don't always know how to act."

"You're right, I'm not." Haven nodded. "Thank you."

"Sevyn is coming to get me so I guess I'll see you later?" Indigo smiled making her nervous.

She had to be in the car with Ezra alone.

"Why am I muted?"

"Genesis was yelling, I didn't want you to hear." She lied. "Indigo and Flaire are getting rides so I guess you're just coming to get me."

"Bet, I'm finna stop at Chick-Fil-A real quick, you want something?"

"Hash browns and a lemonade."

"Small, medium, large?"

"Medium." She spoke as Ezra repeated.

Flaire grabbed everything she needed then walked in the kitchen grabbing some snacks, she kissed her niece on the cheek saying bye to Genesis then walked out going towards Ra car.

Ra was sitting in the car with the heat and music playing lowly, he watched as Flaire opened the door. He low key smirked as she got in, he couldn't wait to see her again.

"You been going crazy on social media with arguing lately."

"You see what happen when I say I'm giving bitches a pass? That's why I don't."

"High school ass drama." He chuckled pulling off.

"Not for long." She scoffed.

"If you ain't have school, I woulda took you for the day."

"Maybe tomorrow." She said since it was the weekend.

"I gotta work but we gon work something out soon." He glanced at her then leaned back staring with one hand as she just stared at him.

His car smelt so good so it was just adding on to how fine he is. She couldn't believe a nigga had her this speechless.

"What you looking at this time?" He smirked teasing.

"The cat tryna get in the garbage." She rolled her eyes smiling making him laugh.

"Word, I see that too." He chuckled. "Oh yeah, Blaire wanted me to tell you to call him before school."

"So call him." She said as he grabbed his phone dialing his cousin number.

"Wassup?" Blaire said.

"Hey twinnn!" Flaire yelled.

"Imma fuck you up."

"For what?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"What's all this talk about you not wanting to go to prom and allat?"

"Blaire you know I don't like these people."

"So what? Prom and allat ain't for them, it's for you to enjoy yourself."

"I know that."

"How about if I take my GED, you go to both?"

"You really gon take your GED?"

"Yeah." He coughed from the smoke. "By time you graduate, I'll have my GED."

"Okay and if so you my prom date."

"Added a lil too much dip on your chip." He spoke making her laugh. "I'll think about that part."

"Alright." She rolled her eyes.

"Now get to school and Ra slide through here before you go to work."

"Bet."

"Love you twin."

"I love you more twin." She rolled her eyes. "Be safe."

"Got you." He spoke hanging up.

"You're a snitch." Flaire rolled her eyes as he chuckled.

"Cause you don't know, you gon regret that shit. Especially graduation."

"And what if I go then don't have fun?"

"Then I'll come get you." He shrugged.

"Oh, you plan on being in my life that long?" She smirked as he glanced at her.

"You be getting me in some shit." He shook his head as she started laughing.

"I won't make you answer." She continued smirking at him as he tried his hardest not to look at her.

"I hope you done getting in trouble."

"I promised my sister I'll try so imma tell you the same." She shrugged. "I hope I do too."

"Good, cause colleges ain't gon want somebody with a long ass rap sheet."

"I'll become a stripper then."

"Nah." He shook his head as he got off the highway while his phone started ringing.

"You want me to answer?"

"Who is it?"

"Mya."

"Nah."

"Who's Mya?" Flaire asked with her eyebrows furrowed.

"My baby mother."

"Yikes, let me just put that down." She chuckled pressing the lock button so it can stop ringing.

"We gon talk about that another day." He shook his head making her raise a eyebrow.

"We damn sure is." Flaire spoke putting on her shoes since they were nearing the school.

"Have a good productive day." He parked in front of the school as she sighed.

"Hopefully." She grabbed her bag then looked at him.

"I know you don't wanna leave me but-"

"You so damn cocky." She smiled opening the door then stopped to look at him. "I'll text you later."

"Aight." He nodded as she walked into the school sighing, he was never going to kiss her.

Haven walked towards Ezra car with her heart beating outside her chest, this would be the second time she was alone with him. He opened the car door from the inside as she smiled saying hey to him. He admired her for a second then pulled off.

"You wasn't gon gimme a hug?" Haven asked.

"I was going to wait til we got out so I could engulf all of you." He smirked making her blush as she turned her head.

"Thank you for this." She smiled referring to her food.

"Wasn't shit." He waved her off. "You doing anything this Friday?"

"I believe Friday is family night but I'm going to text the group chat to be sure." Haven said pulling her phone out.

"Hopefully you could come to my game, I like hearing you cheer for me." He told her honestly as she started blushing like crazy.

I have got to get out this car, she thought in her head.

"Mai coming to school today?"

"Yes, I'm talking to her right now." She spoke texting. "Her and Mac still not talking and Saph and I still not talking."

"Shit finna be awkward today." He chuckled. "I can't wait to see this unfold."

"I just wish everybody would get along but I know Flaire would never get over it until Sapphire and her fight but if Sapphire lose the fight she's never going to get over it. It's just too much, I can't."

"Well don't let nobody talk to you crazy today." Ezra spoke. "It's not ya fault Sapphire a punk."

"Why don't you like her?"

"Because she not good for Key." He shrugged. "She don't got his best interest in heart, she selfish but that's not my relationship to make him realize that. That man grown and make his own choices so he'll have to see for his self."

"I understand." She nodded, sometimes Sapphire only thought of herself.

They stopped at the red light as Ezra admired her as she texted Maicee. She continued looking at her phone while he continued looking at her, she was just so memorizing.

"Ezra, you don't hear them cars?" She chuckled as he looked up seeing it was green light which turned to yellow.

"Oh they finna be pissed pissed." He chuckled pulling off just as it turned red.

"You're an asshole." Haven smiled.

Indigo ran as Sevyn chased her, she was almost away from him until she collided into somebody. She held her mouth as it started bleeding, Sevyn grabbed her from falling as he looked at the girl that fell.

"You need to watch where you going." The girl spoke still on the ground.

"I was bout to say my fault but now I ain't saying shit. You better watch who you talking to." Indigo spoke.

"Relax pretty girl." Sevyn told her.

He looked at her then held his hand out but Indigo pushed his hand back.

"Don't help her up, the hell." Indigo scrunched her face up.

"Girl please, I could help myself up."

"Then do that." Indigo said as she walked away. "My lip finna be fucked up."

"That's yo fault for real." He chuckled.

"I know." She rolled her eyes going to the nurse. "Let me go get my ice pack."

"Cause you know that's all they gon give you." He said busting out laughing as she chuckled.

"I'll see you later papas." She kissed him as he walked away.

Sevyn walked away looking for somebody he knew, he don't think he was fucking with classes today. He wanted to fuck with somebody instead.

"Hey Sevyn." Brooke smiled as her, Regina and Aaliyah stopped.

"Wassup?" He smirked seeing she still had a black eye from where Indigo punched her repeatedly.

"You getting so handsome."

"I know, my girl tell me all the time."

"I don't know what you saying that for as if I wanted you but I'll see you later." She said with her feelings low key crushed.

"Sevyn acting funny like he don't be cheating on that little girl." Regina chuckled.

"He sure nuff do." Aaliyah co-signed. "He mess with Lani that go to Eastside, that boy living a whole double life."

"And she never gon know." Brooke chuckled.

"Or is she?" Regina smirked.

"Yes bitch, let's be messy." They all chuckled.

"I can't wait for her young ass to be heartbroken." Brooke chuckled.

"I'm on my way." Sevyn spoke as he hung up going out the back door which led to the student parking lot.

Keygan was in his last class before lunch as he sat back watching everything, he was irritated today so he ain't feel like talking to nobody.

"You good fool?" Tyke asked as he caught up with him in the hallway.

"Yeah, I ain't feeling today."

"If we ain't have a game tonight, I would've left." He shook his head hugging a girl that passed. "You talked to Sapphire?"

"It's fuck her right now, she be doing too much with her insecure ass."

"She always been like that though."

"But she ain't never go this far with this shit, she used to be able to stop bitching for at least one second. Now it's what bitch you tryna impress? Why I love Flaire so much and further on. That shit so fucking annoying like how you let bitches mess up your relationship when I'm not even fucking it up."

"Shit, get back with Flaire then."

"Nah, we good with what we are."

"You and Flaire was a dope ass couple though, some goals type shit."

"We was terrible together but we some good ass friends and we both good with that."

"I never understood how y'all move on like that. Y'all was together for most of y'all life, she been there for all ya ups and downs and now y'all just cool. Shit Flaire basically made your ass. How y'all just erase y'all history?"

"I just feel like certain people were meant to be friends and certain people were meant to be together. Flaire and I wasn't meant to be and if we are then it's not meant for now." He spoke. "Ain't shit get erased, we just let shit go before it damaged us, no relationship was worth losing her. That's my best friend."

"Yeah, imma go with the last part. Y'all just not meant for right now." He chuckled as Ezra and Haven walked in making people look at them. "You think he serious bout her?"

"I know he like her."

"Hell yeah he like her, parading her around, acting all nervous and shit around her."

"She might be the one to change em."

"It just take the right person." Tyke spoke watching Maicee walk in with her face scrunched up like she was mad.

"Yo girl always mad." Keygen chuckled.

"Always." He remarked watching her every move.

"Wassgood?" Ezra spoke sitting down. "Tyke get out that damn girl face."

"Something wrong with her." He spoke squinting his eyes. "You see how she gripping her phone? Something happened and she finna snap."

"So go see what's wrong."

"Not yet." He sat back still watching her.

"Her and Mac back talking yet?" Keygen asked.

"Hell no." Tyke chuckled. "Mac tried to talk to her yesterday and Mai walked right pass her."

"Hey y'all." Flaire spoke standing over Ezra as she wrapped her arms around his neck leaning on him. "I wanna go home."

"Everybody just ain't feeling today, huh?" Tyke said.

"I been enjoying today actually." Ezra shrugged making all them look at him.

"Anyways." Keygen said making them laugh.

"Y'all I think I like this nigga too much, I been thinking bout him all day."

"You talking bout ya drug dealer?" Keygen asked.

"He's not a drug dealer no more so stop saying that." She rolled her eyes.

"Sound jealous to me anyway but I'm finna sip my tea." Tyke spoke making him look at him as Ezra nodded his head laughing. "Oh shit, Key ya girl coming over here."

"Can I talk to you?" Sapphire asked.

"Nah." Key looked at her then looked away drinking his soda.

"Then imma tell everybody." She shrugged sitting down. "I'm going to get a abortion tomorrow after school, you can come or you can't."

"Ya dumb ass not pregnant, you on depo and I still use condoms. Right concept, wrong nigga."

"Except when we don't but believe me or not, I won't be pregnant in two days just thought I should tell you."

"Aight Sapphire." He waved her off not believing her one bit.

"I think it's good you getting a abortion." Flaire taunted before she could walk off. "We don't need another you walking round here."

"You so mad I'm pregnant by the nigga of ya dreams." Sapphire chuckled.

"Crazy thing is Key never found another bitch like me." She pouted her lips laughing. "Hold on, I bet you just wanna do this."

Flaire sat on his lap rubbing on him as he let her, he didn't care for Sapphire right now so he was down to let Flaire use him to be petty. Maybe it'll get her to act right.

"You really miserable as hell." Sapphire spoke trying not to show she was bothered but she was fuming. They was playing in her face.

"Yeah bitch I'm miserable cause I can't touch you in school but bitch you better pray to every type of God there is that you never run into me outside."

"Flaire, you can meet me in the bathroom."

"Nah bitch, you talked all that shit in public you gon take this ass whooping in public. Girl bye."

"You're not going to beat me up." She chuckled. "This town but so big, I'll see you around dummy."

"I'm so mad." Flaire spoke trying to calm herself down. "I feel like she taking me as a joke because I can't fight her in school, she know I can't. I'm so mad."

"Just-"

"Don't talk, you gon make it worst." Flaire cut off Keygen as tears started coming out her eyes.

She walked over to Haven not caring that her and Maicee was talking. Haven confused on why she was crying, she instantly turned to her.

"Calm me down Haven, please." Flaire asked shaking.

"How am I supposed-"

"I don't know, just try something." Flaire snapped.

"Um-"

"I heard you got a new nigga." Maicee cut her off knowing she was going to start panicking. "How y'all meet?"

"I met him through Blaire."

"Do you like him?" Haven smiled.

"I think so, I been thinking about this nigga all day. I done checked my phone every five seconds to see when he gon go on break, I ain't feel this in a while."

"He fine?" Mai asked.

"Is he?" Flaire smiled laughing. "Y'all wanna see him?"

"Yeah." Mai and Haven spoke in unison.

Flaire pulled out her phone going to his Instagram, she didn't pick on a specific picture she just went to his page then handed them the phone. She knew her man was fine so she didn't need to show his best picture.

"Oh, he fine girl." Mai spoke. "He got a uncle? I like em old."

"Mai please, okay?" Haven spoke making her laugh.

"Are you calmer?" Mai asked Flaire.

"Yeah, how you do that?"

"Tyke makes my life better." She answered shrugging. "When I'm upset, his face can change my mood and talking about him? Girl, I'll forget everything if I start talking about him."

"I can't wait." Haven smiled.

"This why you the only one I like." She nodded at Mai. "I can't do this no longer, I'm going home."

"Okay." Haven nodded watching her walk away.

"I didn't know Flaire came to you for shit." Mai said.

"Ever since we had our talk as sisters everything's been so good." Haven smiled. "I just wished Sapphire would talk to me."

"If the friendship was worth anything she wouldn't have moved how she did, you did nothing wrong."

"I know and I'm trying to understand her frustration towards me but I just can't. I can't control my sisters, just like I can't control her."

"Haven don't wonder why no bitch don't fuck with you, it's their loss. I keep telling you, people are lucky to have you in their life. Not the other way around."

"It's just hard because we've been friends for so long."

"And that's what make it worst, she was your first friend and moving like she just met you. I always told you it was something with her that I don't like and now I see why."

"I just wish all this drama wasn't happening, it's never going to be peaceful."

"All you got to do is mind your business, Flaire and Saph beef don't got nothing to do with you."

"You're right." She nodded. "Are you going to the football game tonight?"

"Yeah." She shrugged.

"Okay then I can sit with you." Haven smiled making her smirk.

"You like him, don't you?"

"I do." She smiled.

"Like I told you just be careful sis, Ezra be having these bitches going crazy."

"I know I'm trying not to fall too fast."

"It's cold." Haven shivered.

"That's why you come prepared sis." Maicee spoke putting the scarf over her head to cover her ears and mouth. "I'm used to sitting outside of games and being cold."

"Something I'll probably never get used to."

"You will." She said then looked back towards the time clock.

It was 2 minutes left on the clock with the score being 38-14, they were winning so everybody already knew they wouldn't and couldn't come back.

Maicee and Haven stood up walking down the bleachers carefully. They stood by the gate of the field as Tyke kicked the ball through the field and everybody cheered.

Maicee waved at the security guard as everybody cheered walking to the football players. She spotted Tyke, Ezra and Key so she went over there pulling Haven hand.

Ezra spotted Haven and smirked, he was going to be bold.

As soon as Haven was about to say something to him, he crashed his lips onto hers. Haven in shock still immediately kissed back while Maicee took a picture smiling extra hard like a proud mom.

"You head ass as fuck." Tyke chuckled pushing her phone down. "Worry about us."

He bent down to kiss her while she smiled.

"I don't gotta worry about us baby, we're always good."

"This why you be getting your pussy ate all the time." He kissed her before she could even react making her laugh.

"We're in public."

On the other side of the gate the cheerleaders was getting ready to pick their stuff while some congratulated the football players. Sevyn and Indigo was hugged up as he got sweat on her.

"Y'all so cute." Some girl spoke as they smiled saying thank you.

"You coming home with me?"

"Not tonight, I told you it's game night. I got you tomorrow boo." She spoke wiping her lip gloss off his mouth.

"Bet mamas. Gimme another kiss so I could go change." He kissed her adding his tongue making her smile.

Ezra put his arm around Flaire and Haven as Regina, Aaliyah and Brooke walked over. Regina stopped a bit upset because Ezra was hugged up with this girl but she didn't show emotion regardless. She knew not to act like a ass with Ezra, he wouldn't play with her.

"Good game." She spoke as he nodded.

"Good looking Gi." He spoke hugging her.

"I'm bout to go home, I'll text you."

"Bet."

She thought she was getting under Haven skin when Haven already knew that they were friends so it was pointless.

"Genesis outside." Flaire told her. "You coming with us, right?"

"Yes." She spoke looking at Ezra. "I'll call you before I go to sleep."

"Alright." Ezra kissed her again making her smile as she said bye.

Indigo was already in the front seat when Flaire and Haven got in the car, the car ride was silent as Genesis played Jhené Aiko album lowly.

"So I have a question." Indigo started as they all looked at her. "Does it hurt to lose your virginity?"

"Yeah." Flaire answered.

"I wouldn't know." Haven spoke.

"Yes it does." Genesis answered. "And if it's not with the right person it hurts worse."

"Aw you tryna pop that vagina and have a little secs?" Flaire asked laughing making Haven and Genesis chuckle.

"I've been thinking about it but I just don't want it to happen and then some bullshit starts to happen. I've heard sex makes things complicated."

"It does, that's when shit get real." Flaire chuckled. "But shit it's worth it, sex be feeling good."

"Flaire." Genesis laughed.

"I'm serious, shit if I was you I'll do it just so I could get pass the hurting part and go straight to the enjoyment."

"Flaire." Genesis spoke as Haven laughed.

"Cause when Keygen and I used to fuck, I used to sit on the bed for like 15 minutes trying gain the strength just to walk again. Shit, I'm bout to text him, I'm going through a drought. When I think of dick I start itching and shit, I need my fix."

"Flaire." Genesis looked at her as she stopped at a red light as Haven wide eyed.

"I'm just being honest." She shrugged.

"Don't listen to her, if you have questions regarding it then you're not ready. Don't think with your hormones, think with your mind and move on your own terms because you will regret it if it's not what you want."

"She right, I can't relate but she right." Flaire nodded her head.

"Okay." She nodded. "I'm glad we can talk about stuff like this now."

"We're sisters, I'm glad we can too but we should've been able to do this." Genesis stated. "I've never wanted y'all to feel like y'all have to hide shit from me, we're all only years apart, we should've been this close."

"It's good we doing it now though." Indigo spoke.

"Word, y'all kinda cool. I kinda fuck with y'all today. Tomorrow, it might change but don't think too much of it. I still love y'all."

"Girl bye." Genesis laughed waving her off.

"Movie and chill?" Haven offered.

"Word, I'm not for game night no more. I am beat." Flaire spoke.

"Seriously, I just wanna take a shower." Indigo added.

"And I get to pick the movie." Flaire added. "Because I'm top tier."

"Girl bye." Haven chuckled. "I requested movie night, I get to pick the movie. That was always the rules."

"You right." Flaire rolled her eyes.

Genesis pulled on their street as Flaire unbuckled her seat belt. She smirked knowing she about to piss them off.

"Whoever last a rotten egg." She yelled before running out the car.

They all ran out the car but because Flaire was before them she made it in the house, she locked the front door then went upstairs as they banged on the door. She turned on the shower water and started getting her stuff together for her shower.

"We're dumb." Haven laughed pulling out her house keys.

"Is she in the shower?" Indigo asked. "She know damn well she heard me say- I hate her."

"I still get to pick the movie." Haven smiled skipping to the kitchen.

"These damn kids." Genesis smiled shaking her head.

She loved having little sisters.
