Sam arrives at his hotel and hurriedly goes back to his room before quickly dialling Bright's number. After waiting a few seconds, the other line picks up with a groggy voice, "Did you not realize what time is this in Bangkok? It's fucking 3 am, Sam. Fucking. THREE. am" Bright groans, "Can you stop giving me panda eyes?"
Sam exhale the breath that he unconsciously hold since he left Kana. He then lets it out along with the words he's about to speak, "I met him. He's here, in London."
Bright let out a shocking sound, the groggy voice that was once in his voice earlier suddenly vanish into thin air and replaces with a shriek, "What?! He's there?! In London?!" his loud surprise then follows by a whine from someone else at the other line.
"Yeah, he changes his name to Kana Kaarle Lewis. It's written in his notebook that I borrow from him. Apparently, he's a writer now." Sam shares.
There is shuffling and muttering sounds on the other line, indicating Bright getting up and leaving his lover in bed. The man then comes back with a teasing question, "So what did you do? Did you do something stupid like suddenly kissing him?"
The statement was only being said to ease the light tension. But when he heard nothing from Sam, Bright sighs in a little disappointment, "You did, didn't you? Hmmm. That is so you. What did I expect--"
"Hey! I was caught up in the moment! He was standing there, so freaking beautiful. How can I resist." Sam cuts with a retort, "I told him not to run away from me again. I'll win him back."
"You sound like you're going to force him to be back to you. That's really not a good idea, Sam." Bright flatly replies. He knows how impulsive Sam is when it comes to relationships, "You need to mind his feelings as well. Don't act so rush."
Sam let out a groan, "Yeah, I know. But it's so hard to control it. You know how much I want him. It's like I'm obsessed with the thought of him. 7 years without him feels like torture for eternity."
Bright let out a scoff, "You dramatic baby. I know how much you miss him but that statement is just plain cheesy." taking a brief pause for remembering something, he then continues with a worried intonation, "But first, what about Som? What are you going to do with her? Have you thought about her?"
The reminder just got Sam into realization, "Oh, right. I forgot about her." he flatly says as if the matter is not important, "Well, whatever. I can just break it up. It's not like I'm willing from the start."
Bright snickers, "You heartless vampire. I knew you were unwilling the moment I saw your face when you were on the platform of your engagement party. You looked as pale as a corpse. You don't even let Som touch you. Not only me, the whole people inside that room know that you're forced. You look constipated up there."
Sam shivers at the memory. That engagement day has officially become the worse nightmare of his life. His father forced him to marry the only daughter of the Kurusatienkit household, Som Solada Kurusatienkit.
Som is his childhood friend, they've known each other since in diapers and their parents are close to each other. The arrangement has been planned a long time ago by their parents that Sam and Som will be wedded to each other. It even got to the point that Som's nickname was purposely done to be in sync with Sam.
Sam thought it's very unfair and creepy for the parents to just pair them up without minding their opinion. Never in his life that Sam likes Som in that way. He always regards her more as his little sister. So the thought of marrying your own sister sickens him to the core.
"Yeah, it's creepy. I'll break it up when I come back to Bangkok. I don't care what the elders think. They can disown me like hell I care." Sam scoffs, "I never like any of them in the first place. That witch especially."
Sam never like his parents. He still respects his father though. But The Witch, he hates her so so much. No words will be able to describe just how much Sam despises her. She always nitpicks on anything Sam does. It's really annoying.
"She never acts like a mother from the start. Yet, she dares to set up my life. There's no way I'm going to oblige. I'll tear this engagement apart. She needs to know her own fucking place." Sam determines as Bright on the other line let out a loud laugh, waking up the sleeping lover who now cursing towards him.

Vin left earlier in the morning since he needs to open his studio. Now in the apartment is only Kana who's typing with full concentration on his laptop. But after a while, the stuffy feeling begins to invade his mind and causing it to get cloudy and from writer's block. He takes it as a cue to stop typing and try to at least to get breathe fresh air.
And with the mention of fresh air, which leads to think about going outside, Kana suddenly craves something sweet and warm. So the boy gets up and decides to change his close to go out and visit his favourite cafe.

Kana slowly walks into the small cafe and greets her before ordering a cup of tea with a slice of cake from Sophie, who shows her excitement when she saw him.
Kana sits in his usual spot and Sophie follows him to the table, with a cup of chamomile tea and a slice of red velvet cake on her tray. "Special for today, red velvet cake and the usual cup of chamomile tea." She widely smiles at Kana while putting down the dessert in front of him. Kana let out a warm smile at her and uttered thank you.
The smile earns a blush from Sophie as she hurriedly goes back to the counter and eye Kana from afar as usual. Kana ignores the stare as always, taking out his temporary notebook, pen, and a book that he's going to read. Then he proceeds to open and read where he left off while slowly sipping his tea.
His concentration is then interrupted by Shane as the latter sits the opposite of him. The blonde then stare at him with a worried expression, "Did something happen? You look gloomy when you entered the cafe."
When it comes to reading people, Shane is very good at doing it. As someone who is observant and has a sensitive soul, he can immediately sense when someone is upset and even sometimes will know how to soothe them. It is an admirable trait and even more impressive as he can read Kana like an open book.
And despite being gentle in nature and soft-spoken, Kana is actually easily stressed out. But he rarely let anyone see that and ended up burying it by himself. Because of that, not a lot of people can read what's on Kana's mind.
Knowing his true feeling has been found out, Kana choose to open up as there's no point in trying to cover it from Shane. He closes and puts down the book to gives the blonde all his attention, "He's here."
Shane's brows knot in confusion, "He?"
Kana nods before averting his gaze down and taking the tea to take a sip, "He's trying to get me back."
Shane's eyes go wide before letting out a loud girly shriek, startling the people inside the cafe including Kana, as the latter jolts and spill some of the tea, "He's here?! In London?!! Oh my God, can you get me his signature?!!!"
Kana takes a tissue and wipes the spillage before letting out a small giggle at Shane's outburst of joy, "You don't even hear the second sentence."
"No! I heard it clear as day!! He wants to get you back. Freaking Sam Sakda wants you!!! Oh my God, this is crazy!!!" Shane excitedly shrieks as he giddily moves his palms.
"Shane! Not too loud! People are looking." Kana whispers as he tries to die down Shane's over-excitement.
Shane closes his mouth with one of his hands, "Oops, sorry. I was too excited. So, what are you going to do?"
Kana let out a sigh as he put the mug back on the table, "Honestly, I don't know. He looks determined to court me. I already reject him but he seems to not give up."
Shane inhales his breath in shock, his blue eyes going as wide as a pair of saucers, "You, reject the freaking Sam Sakda Chanta-whatever-his-surname-is?!!"
"Chantaviriyavit." Kana corrects him.
"Yeah, whatever. But, you fucking reject him?! How dare you?!!" Shane squints his eyes to the young writer, "I know you're hot and everything. But please, he's freaking Sam Sakda!"
Kana begins to massage his temple, "Shane, don't you already know our history? There's no way I can accept that. I left him without a word. Plus, he's got a fiancee. Don't you see anything wrong here?"
"But, he's freaking Sam Sakda!!" The blonde guy defends again as he shrieks like a banshee.
Kana add another hand to the other side of his temple, "You and your starstruck. Can you stop fanning over him just this once?"
Shane let out an awkward laugh, "Well as a fan, it's quite hard to know your idol got rejected."
Kana let out a chuckle at his ridiculous logic, "Aren't you supposed to be sad that your idol will have a significant other? isn't that what usually fans feel about their idol? Not letting them date and have a couple?"
Shane let a grosses-out face, "First of all, I'm straight. So no, I don't feel sad about it. Secondly, my friend is the one he wants to court. So, of course, I'm happy at that thought. That means I have a chance to meet him in person and squeal directly to his ear."
Kana laughs at his friend. Shane is the best when it comes to cheer him up and make Kana laugh. The blonde is just that chirpy.
Then, Shane looks at him fondly as he reaches Kana's hand on the table, "Kana, at the end of the day, I just want you to be happy. I know how deep your feeling is for him. Seeing you living like an empty shell sometimes worries me. Please, be selfish for once. He was your source of happiness, right? He still is, isn't he?"
Kana silently takes in Shane words. It's true that Sam was his source of happiness back in his teenage years. But, will it all be worth it? Will the relationship that stands on an unsteady foundation last?
Honestly, Kana doesn't want to have complicated feelings anymore. But, Sam makes himself an exception. The man immediately breaks down Kana's wall the moment they saw each other's eyes. It makes Kana forget all of his dark thoughts the moment there's no distance in between them. Sam can give him the most satisfying feelings that are unknown to Kana. The thought of Sam alone is already precious for Kana. The fact that he already fell for someone who is not even physically beside him for the past 7 years, scared Kana a little.
Will it be okay for me to just let go of everything and follow my heart? Is that even the right thing to do?
