Clementine closed the door to her dorm room behind her with a sigh. AJ was off to Tenn's dorm to have a sleepover, so that meant she was spending the night by herself for the first time in years. She walked to the desk in the room and took off her hat before sitting on her bed, staring at AJ's empty bed across from her. Clementine ran a hand across her face with a small sigh, her thoughts going haywire. It had been a week since the mission to get their friends back from the raiders, it had been successful, but so many people died and had gotten hurt because of her. Clementine covered her face with her hands,

"Lee..? Why can't you be here...? I need you - I miss you...I'm so lost without you, I keep making mistakes, I need your help..." Clementine spoke aloud to herself, her voice wavering as tears started to fall down her face. Violet still despised Clementine for allowing her to get captured, and that ate Clementine up inside. One of her closest friends wanted nothing to do with her.

A broken sob left Clementine's mouth at the same time the door to her room opened and in came her boyfriend, Louis. Louis saw the state of Clementine and quickly walked up to her, kneeling in front of her.

"Clem - hey, babygirl, what's wrong?" Louis stood up and quickly wrapped his arms around Clementine's waist, holding the girl closely as her only response was a sob. Louis cradled Clementine's head to his chest so the shorter girl can listen to the soothing sound of his heartbeat.

"I know something that will cheer you up! Come on" Louis stood, taking Clementine's hand into his own as he led her to the music room and to the place of their first kiss - the piano. He took a seat on the bench and patted the spot next to him, indicating for the girl to sit. As soon as Clementine sat down, Louis began to sing and play the piano,

Louis leaned over and placed a delicate kiss onto Clementine's forehead as he played, watching as the smallest smile formed on the girl's face. Louis grinned as he continued singing, 

" Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire

The war outside our door keeps raging on

Louis moved his hands from the piano and cradled Clementine's face in his hands deliquietly, treating her as a priceless artifact,

"I promise, as long as I'm around you will be safe and sound..." Louis trailed off to lightly kiss Clementine on the lips before leaning his forehead against hers, looking into her eyes with a gaze full of love,

"I love you."
