Attack of the Angles
Andromeda Jackson
Everything was washed in black, and all I could make out was the moon. No... not the moon.
It was a woman with long black hair. But not ink-black like mine. It was that weird blue-black-like Coraline. She was wearing a long, Greek style silver dress and silver sandals. Her skin was paler than the moon itself. She looked like a freaking vampire with huge black wings. The red eyes completed the look. I looked around, and everything about the landscape-including me-was leached of color. Everything looked like a strange marble tribute to demigod camps everywhere. Even my black hair was now white. Only the angel lady had any color to her at all.
"I am looking for Perseus Jackson!" she hissed. Even sounded like a vampire!
"He's not here!" I shouted. No one bleaches my hair. No one. However, it was funny seeing Marie Terrence, flipping daughter of Zeus, without that red mop of hair.
"Yes..." she drawled, creeping me out to no end. "Right there!" Vampire-lady pointed a long white finger at Ryan. The resemblance was so close, it was scary. I'd seen pictures of my dad when he was twelve. Bleached of all color, Ryan Jackson was so close to being the guy who retrieved a freaking lightning bolt.
Vampire-lady made a hand gesture like she was beckoning Ryan forward. As if in a trance, Ryan moved towards her. The lady caught him by the throat and zipped into the air. There was absolutely no light in the valley at all anymore. No one seemed to notice.
I stood there, absolutely astonished. A person who looked like she belonged in Twilight had just kidnapped my brother. Now I was waiting for some helpful werewolf to tear her apart.
I silently begged for the sunlight to return, and it did...
In the form of another freaking angel. Except this one was a young girl, maybe eight or nine. She had brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a sky blue, long-sleeved polo shirt, dark jeans, and Nikes. Her wings were gold and blue, which hurt my eyes.
"Mother!" she cried. "Ugh! What in Erebos's name did she do this time. Sometimes, I feel like I'M her mother!"
"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU AND WHO THE HELL IS YOUR MOTHER AND WHY THE HELL DID SHE TAKE RYAN!" screamed Naomi. Ooh, your gonna get in trouble Naomi.
"Okay, okay, small Mexican person-"
"That's a little offensive!" protested Naomi. "Yes, I was born in Mexico, but it doesn't need to be brought up! And I'm bigger than you are! Now what did your mother do with Ryan?"
"Oh... she took your friend? Erebos told her to get Perseus Jackson. I don't know why. He shouldn't have a grudge for Percy. He saved-"
"All you immortals' butts, we know," I muttered. "Like Naomi said so classily... who are you?"
"Oh, right. I'm Hemera, goddess of day. That was Nyx, goddess of night. Erebos is my-"
"WE DON'T CARE WHO YOUR DAD IS!" shouted Marie Terrence. "WE JUST WANT TO KNOW WHERE RYAN IS!"
"You don't care where Ryan is!" I yelled at her. "You just want a quest! You think that-"
"You don't know what's going on in my head, Jackson!"
"What's going on?" our mom interrupted.
"This girl is the reason that I was sent home from school!" I stated. My mother's eyes narrowed.
"Anyway... I know how to get him back. Rachel?" Hemera called.
"Yes?" a red-head said, running up to us. Oh, yeah. Rachel Dare.
"We need a proph-"
"The hero's daughter will risk it all
To save her brother and bring Night's downfall
Two other demigods will break his chains
And take back the day when fire rained
Three shall go and five will return
And reach New York before it burns."
