"What did the doctor say? Why did you faint all of a sudden? Are there complications? Is the baby okay? Don't you worry, I'll take care of everything! And I'm going-"

"Aigooo, Hyun-ah, calm down. Take a deep breath."

"Sae..."

"Inhale..."

"But..."

"Inhale!"

*Deep breath in*

"Exhale..."

*Deep breath out*

"Now see this sonography, baby is completely okay. Just a little peanut here, and a little peanut there."

"What? Why are there two peanuts?"

"..."

"Twins? Twins! Twins..."

Yi Hyun held onto his son, clinging him closer as they watched everything else covered in dust and rubble. The huge sphere fell on the field, crashing down and almost ripping the earth open. The first thing that Hyun did was check his son for any sort of injuries, he ran his hand through So-cheol's hair, face and arms.

Never did So-cheol see his dad so worried and fanatic about him. All his life So-cheol only presumed that their parents chose their favourites to live with them after the separation and that Nara was his father's favourite. Honestly, he loved his twin, and his parents, but the choosing sides was something he hadn't gotten over with.

"Appa, I'm okay." He assured his father, holding his arms, "I'm okay, we need to check on Omma and Nara." The reassurance of his son being fine helped Yi Hyun to breathe again, although his heart now dropped on the thought of his wife and daughter.

Their vision was blurry because of all the dust and smoke, the chaos however soon resumed when they walked towards the noise. Yi Hyun had grabbed his rifle from the car whilst So-cheol held onto his, behind his father. He was asked to sit in the jeep and wait for him but So-cheol would never sit back at times as these.

"You see anything purple and weird, you shoot it." Yi Hyun instructed his son, they hadn't much time as they steadily walked towards the huge sphere. "Don't think, don't wait, just shoot. Arachi?"

So-cheol nodded, although fear evident as he gripped his rifle. His father hardly let him touch his police glock, so his orders to shoot on sight was frightening to say the least. "We get the girls and we move." He said and the father-son duo quickly headed towards the commotion.

"NARA..."

Nara could not make sense of where she was for a split second. Her head felt heavy, her body numb but a glimpse of her mother and she was knocked back to her senses. Saebom was holding the metal gate that uprooted when the sphere fell, holding it because her life depended on it and screaming her name. Nara quickly held the metal gate to ease it and they pushed it away, the moment they did Saebom sighed, holding Nara's hand.

"You okay, peanut?"

Nara had not heard that nickname in a million years, and if it wasn't for the situation she was in right now, she would have shed a tiny tear. Although, the chaos around them surpassed their moment, dust and smoke, the huge purple sphere lay across them, the class helping each other stand whilst the military holding their guns. Saebom put Nara behind her, holding the pistol she carried whilst the military asked the kids to move back to class.

No one did, they were all too shocked and remained frozen in their place. That was until the huge purple thing moved with a bright light and the military aimed their rifles at it. Saebom could see Yi Hyun and So-cheol from the far distance waving out to them and she grabbed her daughter's hand.

"We need to go," She pulled her daughter, Nara eyed her classmates all of them looking at her. "Nara..."

"But my classmates?" Nara said, looking back at them, they were all being pushed by Lieutenant Lee to move back to the class. "I cannot leave them behind." She turned back to meet her mother's eyes, "Omma, please."

Saebom sighed, hating how this was all so twisted and terribly disturbing. The spheres, or creatures, or purple nasty things as Yi Hyun called them, tore the huge sphere and rushed out from it. The military opened fire but whilst few died, the others attacked the military first and blood was everywhere. Watching the humans being ripped apart within a second, the students decided it best to run and they tried running, back to the classrooms.

Saebom immediately ran with Nara towards the jeep which was parked at the entrance, just around the corner, she kept turning back to shoot the spheres that caught up to her. Nara held her rifle, ready to shoot even though they were taught only the basics. "Run towards your father, go." Saebom said both of them running away from the monsters, "Don't look back." She was instructed and the spheres starting catching up to them.

One of them jumped right in front of them, Saebom was about to shoot when another sphere from behind grabbed her pistol. Without wasting a second, Nara shot the spheres immediately. Her aim was crisp and although the bullets missed a few, she did well. Saebom was panting when Nara came back for her, "you okay, Omma?"

"Yes, let's go."

"Wait for us, please."

The girls turned to see few of Nara's classmates running towards them, Kim Chi, Tae-man, their Class president, and Woo-Taek along with two of the boys. Ae-seol was catching up to them too. Saebom and Nara nodded at each other, their backs against each other and as Nara defended her classmates by shooting the spheres and clearing their pathway, Saebom cleared the space around them.

However, their class president tripped while falling, and with her falling one of the spheres immediately raised its pointy slimy tentacles to rip her heart out only for a bullet to destroy it. Lieutenant Lee had shot it from afar, "Run kids, go with them, they'll take care of you."

Saebom and Lieutenant Lee shared an eye-lock and they were back to business with the killing spree.

Tae-man helped her up and they ran towards the jeep, clearly visible in their line of sight. Although the other class mates who ran behind the group fell, Nara saw how the spheres ripped the girl's stomach, the other one had their head squeezed to the point it burst and she stopped. Terror and fear engaged her mind, staying frozen whilst everyone around them got eaten and killed.

Killed.

All of her batch mates, the students, the military, everyone was getting killed.

"NARA!" Saebom shook her daughter, getting her out of trance, "run." Saebom pushed Nara towards the group of students who caught up to them and they all headed towards the jeep, Saebom behind them, shooting all the spheres she could.

"Aish, jinjja," She muttered, tired of this never-ending shooting. "How can they be so many!" She kept shooting from Ae-sol's rifle while running behind the kids, they were almost there.

There Yi Hyun and So-cheol were fighting all the spheres that came closer, which were never-ending. So-cheol was asked to sit in the jeep but he would not listen to his father, not until Saebom and Nara were back. So the father-son duo kept shooting the spheres, So-cheol missed every shot, and Yi Hyun covered for him. It was not his fault, his hands were shaking, sweating with fear of being killed and traumatised by the bloodshed that happened.

"Its okay, champ," Yi Hyun shot another sphered that flew towards them, "deep breaths, your Appa will take care of this"-another shot-"keep breathing."

So-cheol could see their classmates running towards them, Nara ahead of them as she shot the spheres, but he could not spot their mother. Where was she? Yi Hyun guided the kids in the back of the jeep, so they all squeezed at the back. It was a seven seater but managed to get them all in.

"Where's Omma?" So-cheol asked Nara who was both exhausted and in tears by now, "where is she!"

Yi Hyun's heartbeats lowered as he feared the worst. However, hope was back when Saebom ran towards them, asking Yi Hyun to start the car whilst waving at them. Nara sat in the passenger seat, whilst Yi Hyun started the jeep. "You kids okay?" Yi Hyun asked, Nara had her rifle ready to shoot. The ones who were terrified did not say anything, only the class president muttered a small yes.

"YA So-cheol-ah," Nara screamed at her twin who was still outside, aiming his rifle at a distance. "Get inside!"

But So-cheol did not, rather aimed his rifle at his mother and held her hand when she reached. "Omma, watch out," He pushed his mother towards him whilst shooting the rifle at the two spheres that approached them, thankfully he did kill them.

Saebom was panting by now, she held So-cheol's arm and they both sat in the jeep, locking it immediately as Yi Hyun started the car. In no time they had accelerated their way out of the school from the back gate and the kids looked back from the car only to see the school tainted in red. Bodies everywhere, blood spattered and those purple creatures gliding and hissing. They hoped that the rest of the classmates were safe and even though the chances seemed really thin, it was nevertheless enough.

Saebom and Yi Hyun sat back, speeding away from the school, the former catching her breath, the latter feeling his heartbeats ring in his ears. So-cheol on the other hand held his mother's hand, eyes shut and trembling whilst Nara looked outside the glass window, fingers on the trigger but she was scared. Yi Hyun touched her cheek gently, assuring her that it was okay, making Nara a little more at ease.

But she was scared.

All of them were scared.

Especially the duo who now had to take care of their kids and the other kids who were with them.
