That night Randhir was very restless. All he could think of was that new man. His insecurity continued to increase. As he paced in the room, he was alarmed by Renuka's sudden outburst into his room.
'Randhir.' Her voice shook, sweat beads on her forehead and her hands shaky. Randhir hurried to her and held her.
'Beta,'- She gulped, - 'Harsh—Harsh's condition is worsening. We must—' She couldn't complete her sentence as Randhir held her arms tighter and asked her to relax. He could feel his heart-beat increase as well.
Randhir drove them to the hospital and the two hurried to the floor where Harsh was admitted. Luckily, the doctor had just come out of his cabin. Randhir rushed him and enquired about his father. The doctor looked grim. He informed that how suddenly he had developed breathing problem and his heart had begun to sink.
'We are trying our best to revive him.' He informed and then hurried inside the OT. Randhir was shattered with the news. Renuka let out a small cry. He stumbled back and held the wall for support. She sat down on one of the steel chairs, her palm over her mouth and tears trickled down her cheeks. Slowly, Randhir looked up at the bulb above the OT. It switched on. He kept looking at it, his mind blank and his heart in his mouth.

Sanyukta opened the door to the storeroom and entered the room. She hadn't thought that she will come back to this side of the storeroom. When she had stuffed her old memories in the box, she had decided to never look back at it again. But now, she is here in the corner of the dark storeroom.
Once again, she felt the same emotions as she unboxed the cardboard box and dug her arm inside. She took out the red velvet box and opened it. She stared at the Mangalsutra for a moment before taking it out. Tears filled her eyes and a smile appeared on her lips as she wore it. She closed her eyes and was about to hook it when her phone ring startled her. Her eyes sprung open. She placed the Mangalsutra back into the box and picked up her phone.
Parth Calling!
She wondered why he had called her so late in the night? Without wasting much time, she picked up the call.
Parth sounded worried and he spoke quickly, - 'Sanyukta! Randhir's Dad passed away.' He informed. Sanyukta's mouth dropped open.
'What?' She breathed clasping her open mouth with her palm. There was silence between them. Parth asked if they could go visit him and Sanyukta agreed.
The rest of the family were awakened by Sanyukta and Parth. Kishore was alarmed but was shocked knowing about Mr. Shekawat. He insisted she doesn't go tonight. Sanyukta refused. He placed his hand on her shoulder, - 'Beta, try to understand. Tonight, neither of them will be in a proper mental state. We will go tomorrow.' He explained.
Sanyukta protested but when Parth intervened and sided with Kishore; she gave up. Kishore dispersed everyone to their room. While everyone went to their room, Sanyukta had some other plans.

Renuka was inconsolable. Alone, she kept crying. Randhir walked away from the OT. Mindlessly, he kept walking. His eyes were emotionless. When Parth called then he answered in a daze and still in shock he had told him just one statement and cut the call. After that, as he absent-mindedly stuffed his mobile into his pocket, it fell on the floor. He ignored it and taking slow steps he walked away.
Many memories flashed before his eyes as he lifelessly walked through the corridor of the hospital. Recollecting old memories, he stumbled on one of the chairs and tripped. He held the back of the chair and stood properly. Then, he sat on the chair.
'Randhir, my son...'
'I am sorry, I embarrassed you.'
'No, Papa. You can never embarrass me.'
'Ah, son. I am a very bad person. And a bad person like me deserves this—this redemption.'
'No one needs me.'
'No, Dad. I need you—I—need—and want my family.'
Randhir covered his face and began crying. His loud cries muffled with his palms. Tonight, he lost one of his closest people. However, he was, his father had always been there with him. Tonight, Randhir felt the loneliest. No one was by his side. His father was no more leaving him devastated.

As he cried he felt someone's hand on his shoulder and he abruptly stopped crying. He hadn't realized how long he had been crying. And with the sudden touch, he came back to his senses. He moved his hand and slowly turned his head. He looked up and found Sanyukta standing next to him. She had tears in her eyes as well. Randhir was surprised to see her and quickly wiped his tears. Sanyukta sat beside him and held his shoulder.
'Randhir?' She asked softly. He looked at her. She bit her trembling lower-lip and a drop of tear fell from her left eye.
Randhir let out a deep breath and looked away. Sanyukta shifted and held his arm. He closed his eyes letting more tears fall.
'Randhir,' – she caressed his arm, - 'I—know—how you are feeling—Randhir,' – She held his cheek and tried to make him look at her, but he kept resisting, - 'I know you don't want anyone to see you crying. But it is good to let out your feelings—specially to someone who cares about you.' She said.
Slowly, Randhir looked at her. They looked at each other for a while and then Randhir leaned and fell on her lap. He broke down again in her arms. Sanyukta couldn't stop her tears. She held him tighter and cried with him. They remained this way for a long time until Randhir's cries died down. Sanyukta held his shoulder and made him sit. He closed his eyes as she held his face and wiped his tears with her thumbs.
'Randhir,' – she gulped and continued, - 'I know it is a tough time for you but—you need to be strong. Renuka Ma'am needs your support.' She explained caressing his shoulder. Randhir looked away and nodded.
'I don't know how to console her.' He said in a hoarse voice. Sanyukta held his shoulder tighter. He leaned and hugged her tightly. His grip was uncomfortable, but she doesn't protest and held him. Randhir buried his face against her shoulder and continued to cry silently. Sanyukta held him closer and caressed his back. After a while, she held his shoulder and parted them.
'Randhir.' She breathed softly and held his face again. Slowly, she wiped his tears and once again they stared at each other. Then, Sanyukta leaned forward; her eyes closing. Randhir watched her lips approach closer to him.
To kiss or not to kiss. What do you guys think? Will the kiss happen?
