Surface Errorink
Error POV
I walked home after a long day at work. Again, as I walked, I got strange looks, horrible comments, and rocks thrown at me.
Monsters still weren't accepted on the surface thou, I'd say it is getting better.
I walked into my apartment and my wife, Ink didn't appear to be there. We live in a one room apartment so, unless she's in the bathroom she's not home.
It's eight. She gets home at three. I looked for her and asked the receptionist if he had seen her.
"No, sorry. I will keep an eye out for her though."
I sighed and thought maybe she was working really late. She didn't have a specific time to be home but she always came at three. In not... she would've called.
I started to get worried about an hour later.
I decided to try to call her to ask where she was. When she picked up I was horrified to hear sobbing.
"Error help!" She cried.
I teleported to her and she was on the ground, bloodied and bruised.
Wy eyes widened as I scooped her up and ran to the hospital. Nothing to serious thank god. I asked her what happened.
Ink POV
I was walking home from the art studio as usual but, this time I had a bad feeling.
I made sure I wasn't being followed but, when I turned, I saw a human with a knife and a bat.
I started running but they were faster. They grabbed me and threw me into an alley. They stabbed the knife through my hand and I screamed.
People just kept walking. I was hit with the baseball bat repeatedly until I was unconscious. When I woke up, it was night.
Everything hurt but the knife was gone from my hand.
Error looked petrified, guilty, and angry all at the same time.
"I should've protected you..."
He put his head in his hands and cried. He held me tightly.
"I never should've moved you here..."
