Fire
Ink POV
I watch in horror as my house burns. Pj and Gradient were at school and I hid Quill's face. (Quill is my ErrorInk ship child go see the ask book for her design)
Tears streamed down my face. Error was in the house. When the fire was finally put out, Quill was crying and I frantically looked for my husband.
Pj and Gradient got home and rushed to me. I handed them Quill and ran to the house. Two of the firemen held me back. I screamed and sobbed.
Falling to the ground, a police officer told me Error hadn't made it.
Gradient looked at Pj. They were both in disbelief. Quill didn't quite understand what was happening.
I started shaking and sobbing harder. Everything seemed to fall apart. I can't believe he's gone...
*two weeks later
Gradient POV
I helped mom get Quill ready for the funeral. We put her in a black dress and shoes.
"Mama, when's daddy coming back?" She asked.
I looked at mom. She stayed silent. That's all she did. Since dad died she haven't talked to anyone. Sometimes she doesn't even get out of bed.
Being seventeen I'm the oldest sibling so I naturally had to take care of my brother and sister when mom couldn't.
She also spent a lot of her time crying and drawing. She's nothing like she was when dad was here.
I walked downstairs to see Fresh and Pj talking. I rolled my eyes and walked to the car. Mom got in with Quill and Pj and Fresh got in the backseat.
After the funeral mom attended to Quill's needs while constantly hugging me and Pj.
Uncle Blue walked up to me.
"Hey kiddo... how do you feel?" He asked.
"I feel horrible. I mean, this is taking a serious toll on mom. She's so... lifeless." I said.
Blue sighed.
"Your father gave her light. After years and years of fighting over the multiverse we all came to realize that Ink only felt emotion around Error." He explained. "A-at first it was just hate and anger but over time... he got to her heart."
I hugged him and went back to mom. Quill was asleep in her arms.
I hugged her. She started silently crying.
"I love you mom..." I started crying as well. "I promise I won't leave you until you're better."
Pj POV
This is getting ridiculous. Gradient and mom are crying like he was a good person. He wasn't. He killed, he— he... damn.
I'm trying to make it so I don't cry but, who am I kidding? We may not have been close but he was still my dad.
The only way to make it right again is to revive him. And I know exactly how to do it...
