Kaneki's POV

"Are you sure you're supposed to leave now?" I knew I sounded like a frantic mother but the thought of Hide getting hurt or reopening an injury made me worry, even though he told me not to.

"Yes," he laughed as he walked right by me and I squeezed his hand that I was holding.

"You still seem nervous!" He broke the silence with the voice and laugh I've always loved

"I can't help it," I sighed.

"Well don't worry so much dork," his hand released mine as he smacked my head softly and smiled and I couldn't help but smile back at him.

"Idiot," I sighed, smile still on my face as we walked to Anteiku. (If I spelled it wrong my bad)

"Well I guess I'm your idiot," he smirked at me.

"Yeah you are," I felt my cheeks heat up as I blushed a light shade of red and looked away from him.

"I already saw you blushing and its nothing new I grew up with you, remember?" He laughed and I sighed and smiled as I looked at him.

"Whatever," I opened the door for him and he walked in as he sat in his usual booth and I glanced around at a new comer... Or two at least... One was a white haired male with crimson eyes and chin length hair. He had two stitches below his left eye and bottom lip as red stitches went down his neck and disappeared into his white shirt. I could make out stitches on one arm but they disappeared up his shit as the sleeves were rolled up to the elbows and he had suspenders. Another was a middle aged male with a black suit and I gulped, instantly recognizing them as CCG officers just by the appearance of one, and it defiantly wasn't the boy. He seemed to childish. I made my way slowly over to Touka and the manger as Kaya and Enji were waiting people. Touka was making coffee and Yoshimura was supervising us as he also cleaned some dishes.

"Need help?" I asked Touka and she gave me that usual blank face she always had.

"Yeah," she huffed and I tied the apron around as I kept my eye son the man and boy as I made some coffee.

"Serve them," Touka grumbled and she pointed to the two CCG officers. I took the two cups and not surprisingly, a piece of cake and made my way over as I set the silverware onto the polished table.

"Thank you," the man said respectfully as he took his coffee.

"Yeah thanks," the boy purred and snatched his cake and drink.

"You're welcome. Please let us know if you would like anything else," for once I had to force a smile at these two. I couldn't help but feel nervous as I was a ghoul and all. And so was Hinami, Touka, Kaya, Enji... Everyone at Anteiku but Hide... I looked over at him as Touka gave him a coffee and he had his headphones on. Good, I liked that smile on his face. I sighed and tried to calm my nerves as I continued making coffee.

"Hey Kaneki I have an important question to ask you," I jumped and barely caught the cup I let our of my grasp as Hide smiled at me.

"What is it?" I asked as I faced him.

"Well..." He began and j blinked at Him.
