Jungkook sits across from Taehyung, Haeun, and his mother with a terrible feeling in his gut, this has to be about that night.
"Why's he here?" He asks, referring to Taehyung.
"As your fiancé, I thought it was only fair to him that he be informed about what's going here." His mother says with a smile that only shows when she's planning something.
"Since when did you care what's fair to him?" Jungkook asks trying to remain calm.
"I honestly don't care who it is Jungkook, no one deserves to be kept in the dark about their lover's infidelities, do they?" Ms. Jeon says.
Taehyung looks up from his hands, his gaze landing on Jungkook who avoids his eye by glaring at his mother.
"I wasn't keeping him in the dark." He says, his jaw clenched.
"Did you know about this, Taehyung?" His mother turns to Taehyung who shakes his head and returns his gaze back to the floor. "You weren't keeping him in the dark?"
"Taehyung, baby." Jungkook starts turning to his fiancé. "I was going to tell you, I swear I was. But I just didn't know how."
Taehyung looks up at Jungkook with a mixture of anger and hurt in his eyes before looking away and shaking his head.
"Haeun has some news for you, Jungkook, I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear." His mother says with a smirk.
Haeun looks up for the first time the entire conversation, tears staining her cheeks. "I'm-I'm so sorry, Jungkook. T-Taehyung, I'm so sorry~"
"Haeun. Get on with it." Ms. Jeon cuts her off with an uninterested tone.
"I-I'm pregnant."
Jungkook's heart drops before the words fully leave Haeun's mouth. "W-What?"
Taehyung bites his lip, he thought he knew pain before this moment but he was all wrong, this hurt worse than anything he's ever felt in his life.
"I'm sorry." Haeun says before standing and rushing from the room in tears.
Jungkook stares straight ahead in complete shock, this wasn't happening, there's no way.
Ms. Jeon smirks at the two men's expressions, both completely shocked and confused. "I'm sure you'll take responsibility for your actions, son."
"That's impossible~"
"It's very possible, it only takes one time Jungkook, I didn't think I'd have to explain that to you at your age." Ms. Jeon says, still taking the situation too lightly.
Jungkook forgets Taehyung is still sitting there until he stands from his seat to walk out.
"Baby, wait. Please." He stands rushing and grabbing his wrist.
Taehyung snatches his arm away and his palm comes in contact with Jungkook's face with a harsh slap.
It's not hard enough to actually hurt Jungkook, but Taehyung definitely gets his point across before storming out of the room.
Jungkook stands there shocked for a moment before turning to his mother who has a smug expression.
"Why did do that?" He asks, his anger deflating into nothing.
She says nothing as she stands walks over to him. "Congratulations son."
Jungkook clenches his jaw as she pats his shoulder and walks out of the office leaving him alone.
Jungkook sinks down back into his chair, his throat tightening with emotion. "What the fuck, Jungkook."
He curses at himself and tugs at his hair, tears falling down his face.
"I'm so stupid." He cries into his hands, he didn't know what to do. He never would have imagined he'd be in this predicament, it was so surreal.
After Jungkook finally gets himself together he decides to go home and try to explain everything to Taehyung.
Taehyung was understanding, he'd understand, Taehyung always understood because that's what Taehyung doe he understands, right?
Jungkook races home, ignoring the looks people give him as he rushes past them on the street.
When he gets there he thinks he's too late until he hears moving around upstairs.
"Taehyung!" He calls running up the stairs and into the bedroom.
When he gets inside he's met with a fist connecting with his jaw before he can even process what's happening.
"H-Hoseok~"
"Don't fucking talk to me!" Hoseok snaps shoving Jungkook against the wall harshly. "Don't talk to him either! Don't even fucking look at him you lying, cheating~"
"Hobi!" Taehyung's voice says making Jungkook look towards the door where he had came in.
Hoseok roughly grabs Jungkook's collar. "I said don't look at him."
"H-Hoseok." Jungkook says forcing himself to swallow the blood in his mouth. "Y-You don't understand~"
"I don't understand? Talking to a friend, Jungkook? Really? And I fucking believed you!" Hoseok is fuming, Jungkook has never seen him this angry before. "You fucking hurt him! Again! Every time he gets hurt it's your fault and I'm sick of it!"
"Hobi!" Taehyung shouts, his voice strained as he grabs Hoseok by the arm and pulls him away.
Jungkook wipes his mouth and straightens his suit jacket.
"How could you, Jungkook? He loves you, why would you~"
"I love him too, Hoseok." Jungkook says. "I don't know how this could have happened. I don't remember anything~"
"The more you say, the stupider you sound. So just save it." Hoseok says. "Get your bag, Tae. So we can go."
"Tae, baby please. Don't." Jungkook says turning to Taehyung who has his backpack on his shoulder already. "Don't go anywhere, baby, I can explain Tae~"
"Come on, Tae." Hoseok says, his voice not showing the slightest bit of sympathy for the situation.
"Hoseok, please. You can't take him away from me. I can explain, I c-can try to explain, Hobi. Please." Jungkook says turning to Hoseok. "Something's wrong, Hobi, you know me. This me, I'd n-never- Hobi I'd never~"
Hoseok shakes his head. "But you did, Jungkook. You did. W-We...I trusted you with him. And you just keep...you just keep hurting him."
"Hobi." Taehyung says from the doorway.
"I didn't mean to." Jungkook says, his voice cracking and tears welling in his eyes.
Hoseok turns away from him and walks over to Taehyung. "Let's go, Tae."
"T-Taehyung." Jungkook says hopelessly as the two leave the room. "T-Tae please don't....don't leave me."
Even though Taehyung and Hoseok both hear Jungkook's desperate cries they continue out of the room and down the stairs.
When they get to the car Hoseok puts Taehyung's backpack in the back seat before climbing in afterwards.
He sighs when he sees Taehyung's tear stained cheeks. "Don't cry, Tae. Please don't cry."
Taehyung nods trying to hold himself together, but the more he tries the more he fails, and the more the tears slip down his cheeks.
"H-Hu~" he tries to say, the words refusing to form in his mouth.
"It's okay. I know it hurts. But everything will work out, I promise." Hobi says with a smile even though it's forced it still calms Taehyung's aching heart.
Taehyung leans his head against the window, Jungkook's cries and pleads for him to stay the only thing running through his head.
He wanted to stay, he wanted to pretend like this never happened and continue the way things were before.
But they couldn't just forget, not when there was another life involved, not when there was a baby growing inside that woman.
That Haeun woman that Taehyung didn't trust from the beginning, if Jungkook would have left her alone none of this would be happening.
Taehyung didn't know if he could live knowing that Jungkook's baby wasn't their baby, but Jungkook's and Haeun's. He always saw him and Jungkook adopting a baby after they got married but now Jungkook has one of his own, with someone that wasn't him.
It hurt, it made Taehyung feel sick.
His Jungkook, his Jungkook cheated on him with a woman and got her pregnant.
How could he live with that? Let alone forgive that.
Everything was weighing down on him and he felt himself starting to crack under the pressure.
He just wanted to forget this day and the pain in his chest.
But despite all the hurt what hurt the most was leaving Jungkook.
Even after what he did, Taehyung loved him and wanted to always be by his side.
And that's what hurt, the thought that he wouldn't be able to forgive him and be by his side, that hurt.
