Taehyung's nightmares came back.
It hadn't gone unnoticed by Jungkook that the nightmares had went away for some time, but now they seem to be happening again.
Jungkook sits up when he hears Taehyung's labored breathing.
"Hurts..." Taehyung whimpers.
"Taehyung." Jungkook says, his voice thick with sleep.
"Please." Taehyung continues to cry, his voice becoming more desperate.
"Wake up, Tae." Jungkook says shaking the other's shoulder.
Taehyung flinches awake, pushing Jungkook. "No!"
"It's me, Tae~" Jungkook tries to calm him but Taehyung continues to try and fight him, Jungkook grabs him by his shoulders and shakes his a little. "Taehyung!"
Taehyung immediately stops fighting, his eyes flying open and meeting Jungkook's.
He pulls away from Jungkook and throws the covers off, turning away.
"Are you okay, Tae?" Jungkook asks pushing the blankets off as well.
"Y-Yeah. I'm sorry I just..." He trails off, staring straight ahead as the dream replays itself in his head.
"It's okay." Jungkook says standing and rounding the end of the bed.
Taehyung sighs as Jungkook sits next to him and puts his arm around his waist. "I thought they went away."
Jungkook nods. "It's okay, you're okay."
"I'm not okay." Taehyung says making Jungkook's features turn into concern and worry. "I feel like I'm going crazy."
"You're not. You're fine. People have nightmares, Tae~"
"I remember that day." Taehyung whispers looking down at his hands. "I remember it."
"What day?" Jungkook asks trying to get him to talk to him about his nightmares.
Taehyung pulls his sleeves up revealing the faded scars on his wrists that were supposedly caused by himself.
"Tae." Jungkook says. "What do you remember?"
"It's fine." He answers, tears welling in his eyes and blurring his vision. "I'm fine."
Jungkook frowns as Taehyung stands and starts to leave. "Why won't you talk to me?"
Taehyung looks back at him. "I don't want to talk about it."
"You can't just keep everything in and expect it to get better if you just keep it in?" Jungkook asks.
"I don't expect it to go away. How can I be comfortable talking about something when I don't know the whole truth?" Taehyung asks. "Its not like I'm keeping anything from you that you don't already know."
"What do you mean what I don't already know?" Jungkook asks standing up.
"You have to know something Jungkook, it was you who told me it was your mom that planned that night. What else do you know?" Taehyung asks in an accusing tone.
"Do you seriously think I know more about that night than I've told you about?" Jungkook asks in disbelief.
"You haven't told me anything." Taehyung says wiping the tears from his face.
"I have nothing to tell you, Tae. I don't know anything you don't." Jungkook says.
"It was your mother~"
"Okay, and?" Jugkook asks getting a bit frustrated.
"I don't know, Jugkook."
"Why are you accusing me of things then?"
"I'm not! I just want to know what it is you know." Taehyung says.
"I don't know anything, Tae! And if I did I'd tell you, you know that! So why are you acting like I'm keeping things from you?" Jungkook didn't mean to get upset but he was basically being blamed for having something to do with Taehyung's kidnapping.
"I'm not saying that, but can't you understand how I feel? What if my mother did something like that to you? Wouldn't you feel like I knew something about it?"
"I'm telling you I don't and you're acting like I'm lying to you."
They both fall silent for a moment before Taehyung sighs. "Just forget about it."
"Taehyung," Jungkook says running his hand over his face. "I understand that it's partly my fault but I'd never keep anything that serious from you. I'd never keep anything from you."
"I know I just... I don't know what to think anymore. Nothing is making sense, and now I keep remembering things that don't make sense and trying to piece everything back together is impossible and I just feel like you aren't helping me."
"How can I help you, Tae?"
Taehyung sighs closing his eyes. "I don't know. I just don't know."
Taehyung leaves Jungkook alone in the bedroom for the rest of the night.
Jungkook is extremely restless without Taehyung beside him and all he can think about is that day.
It was his mother that endangered Taehyung's life and it haunted him everyday.
If his mother had even hinted at hurting Taehyung in anyway he would have never left his side.
He just wanted to go back in time and redo everything, starting with that night at the school fling.
If he could, he would never leave Taehyung's side.

When Jungkook gets up for work the next morning Taehyung is gone.
"Hobi wanted to meet up before he went to work, I don't know if I'll be back before then. I'm not mad, I'm sorry. I love you.
~Tae"
Jungkook crumbles the paper and sighs, Taehyung was definitely still mad.
He'd never just leave a note when he went somewhere, he'd always tell Jungkook, even if he was sleeping or at work.
Jungkook dials his number as he picks out his clothes.
No answer.
He huffs and rolls his eyes before continuing to get ready.
On his way to work he keeps checking his phone just in case Taehyung tried to call back but if he didn't try.
When he gets there he tries not to show his emotions as he walks through the busy office.
"Jungkook!" A woman's voice calls getting his attention.
He looks up to find Haeun, one of the employees that had just finished the same course as him two weeks ago, approaching him.
"Good morning Haeun-ssi." Jungkook smiles with a little bow.
"Here." She says handing him a cup of what seems to be coffee. "I noticed that you always go get coffee before reporting to your desk, the Keurig is a lot closer to my office so I figured I could just bring it to you instead."
"Oh, that's really nice of you. You really didn't have to, Haeun-ssi." Jungkook says taking the disposable cup.
"I was running over everyone's files and it turns out I'm your noona." Haeun laughs.
"Well then you really didn't have to." Jungkook says chuckling softly.
"Don't worry about it, I wanted to." She says tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Well thank you, Noona." Jungkook says bowing politely.
"Don't mention it. Now go work hard." She says walking away and giving Jungkook encouraging pat on the shoulder.
Jungkook smiles and goes to his desk to start working on yet another list of phone calls.
He checks for a message or any sign of Taehyung once more before turning his phone off and getting to work.
He could hardly wait to actually be apart of the brokerage and be done with this busy work.
