3 years later...
Taehyung is awoken by the loud, unforgiving cries of their, now, two month old baby boy.
"I'll get him." Jungkook says, already sitting up to go get the baby.
Taehyung doesn't argue and turns over to go back to sleep.
They knew taking care of a newborn on their own for the first time would be extremely challenging, but taking care of a newborn and a three year old was hell for the young couple.
Jungkook walks into Jiseok's room after peeking into Jihae's to make sure she was still asleep.
"What's wrong, little man?" He says to the crying newborn. "Did you have a bad dream?"
He lifts the baby from his crib and cradles him in his arms, bouncing and shushing him.
"He's hungry, Kook." Taehyung says groggily as he enters the room with the bottle.
"I'll do it." Jungkook says taking the bottle.
"D-Daddy?" Jihae's small voice says getting both their attention.
"No, Jihae." Taehyung groans going to get her. "Why are you up, baby?"
"I wanna daddy." She whines squirming from Taehyung's arms and running over to Jungkook. "Daddy, up!"
Jungkook sighs, Jihae had been acting out a lot more lately.
The articles Taehyung read said that it was normal for her to act out now that there was a new baby in the house, she was just trying to get their attention.
"Go to mommy, Jihae." Jungkook says, refocusing his attention on Jiseok.
Jungkook had started telling Jihae Taehyung was his mommy when she first started talking, and the author thought it was really cute, so they just stuck with it.
"I don't wanna mommy, I wanna daddy! Up, daddy!" The three year old cries tugging at Jungkook's pants.
"Tae, please?" He says looking over at his husband.
Taehyung snaps out of his trance and goes to get his daughter. "Jihae, daddy's taking care of your brother right now, okay, princess?"
"No, no mommy!" Jihae cries as Taehyung picks her up and takes her to her room.
"You're gonna be cranky tomorrow if you don't go back to sleep, I don't want you giving your uncle a hard time, baby." Taehyung sighs, his patience wearing thin as Jihae starts to cry. "No, baby. Don't cry. Why don't you want your mommy? Don't you love me?"
"Daddy!" She starts to wail as Taehyung makes her lay down.
"Jeon Jihae! Stop, now. I'm serious." He says sternly, trying not to be mad at the toddler for being upset.
Jihae's cries settle down a little bit but she still whimpers quietly as she sucks her thumb.
Taehyung sits on the ground next to her small bed and rubbing her stomach.
He lays his head against the side of the bed, his eyes falling shut.
"I put Jiseok down, Tae. You can go back to sleep, I've got her." Jungkook says appearing in the doorway.
Taehyung opens his eyes. "It's okay, she's settling down. I'm coming in a second."
Jungkook nods and leaves the two, surprisingly Jihae doesn't cry for him when he leaves.
After Jihae falls back to sleep Taehyung drags himself back into the bedroom and lies down.
"She okay?" Jungkook asks, half asleep.
"Mhm." Taehyung hums scooting closer and hugging Jungkook.
Jungkook chuckles, he wasn't usually the little spoon. "She's been so cranky lately."
"I know. She'll get used to Jiseok soon, she'll have to." Taehyung says.
"Is Yoongi taking her to the doctor tomorrow?" Jungkook asks.
"Yeah." Taehyung mumbles back, already half asleep.
They both doze back off and even though they sleep it doesn't really feel like they are resting.
They've both become light sleepers since they bought Jihae home when she was two and now they had Jiseok.
Taehyung and Jungkook both worked during the day so they had to look into putting the kids into daycare.
But Yoongi, surprisingly, offered to watch both children until Taehyung got off at around six.
Yoongi was okay with kids, he would let Jihae get away with murder under his watch but he was doing his best.
He was good with Jiseok as well, he never put the newborn down when he was there.
The morning comes far too quickly and Jungkook's alarm goes off at exactly 6:28 a.m.
Jiseok cries come from the baby monitors makes them both sigh.
They lie still for the two minute grace period they gave themselves before getting up to get dressed for work and to get the kids ready to go with Yoongi.
"I got Jihae." Jungkook says as they leave the room.
"That's fine." Taehyung says going to get Jiseok.
When he enters the room Jiseok is crying his head off in his crib.
"Oh, what's wrong with the baby?" Taehyung says in his baby voice. "You need a new diaper?"
Taehyung lifts the baby and takes him to the changing table, after changing him and feeding him a bottle he burps him and lays him down to pick out his clothes.
"What do you wanna wear to Uncle Yoongi's house? You like yellow? Or blue? Or pink? You'd be so cute in pink, Seokie."
"Don't dress my son in pink." Jungkook calls as he walks past the door with Jihae.
Jiseok starts getting fussy and Taehyung hums. "I don't like daddy either."
Taehyung picks out a cute blue onesie that had a picture of a bear on the front.
He carries Jiseok out of the room and down the stairs carefully.
He finds Jungkook sitting at the kitchen table with Jihae on his lap while he feeds her some cereal.
"Good morning." He says kissing his the top of his head.
"Good morning, baby." Jungkook says standing and sitting Jihae down at the smaller table in the corner with her cereal. "Be good and finish your breakfast, princess. Don't move until mommy says you can."
"Okay, daddy." The three year old says.
"Give me kiss." Jungkook says puckering his lips.
Jihae kisses his lips before returning to her mushy cereal.
Jungkook goes over to Taehyung, who was making Jiseok's bottle. "Give me kiss."
Taehyung smiles and kisses him. "I'll pick up the kids from Yoongi's today. Okay?"
"Okay, I should be home early if you need me to get them." Jungkook says, playing with Jiseok's little hand.
"Okay." Taehyung says looking over to make sure Jihae was still sitting down.
After Taehyung finishes making Jiseok's bottles he puts them in his baby bag before putting him down in his bouncer.
"Jihae, babe did daddy brush your teeth?" He asks turning to his daughter.
"I did!" She exclaims happily. "By m'self!"
"That's so good, princess." Taehyung says walking over to her and crouching down. "You're a big girl now, aren't you?"
"No, m' mommy's baby." The girl pouts.
"You'll always be mommy's baby." Taehyung pouts before kissing her forehead. "Get your shoes on, Uncle Yoongi's~"
The doorbell rings cutting him off and making Jihae spring up.
"Yoongi!!" She screams running to the door.
"Uncle Yoongi." Taehyung corrects as he rushes to stop her, just in case it wasn't Yoongi.
He scoops her up before she pulls the door open, peaking out the window to see Yoongi standing there looking down at his phone.
Jihae practically jumps into Yoongi's arms as soon as the door is open.
"Hey, pumpkin." Yoongi laughs hugging the girl.
"Yoonie, mommy are being mean!" Jihae exclaims, hugging Yoongi's neck tighter. "Him 'on't love me no more!"
"Jihae." Taehyung says, his face falling. "You know that's not true."
'It's okay.' Yoongi mouths as he carries the girl in.
"How are you, Tae?" He asks, shifting Jihae onto his hip.
"I'm good." Taehyung answers, still upset about Jihae's accusation. "Jihae, go get your bag from the kitchen."
Jihae pouts. "Yoonie? Will you get my bag?"
"Sure, princess." Yoongi says putting her down to go get it.
"Jihae, I asked you to go get it, so go. And it's Uncle Yoongi." Taehyung says, his tone is even and patient but it still makes Jihae pout angrily and run off. "Don't~, don't run in the house."
Jiseok babbles in his bouncer getting Yoongi's attention.
"There he is." He says in an unexpectedly good baby voice as he picks him up.
Jungkook comes down the stairs dressed and on his way out.
"Hey, Yoongi-hyung. Thanks for watching the kids." He says as he shoves his shoes on at the bottom of the stairs.
"No problem." Yoongi says preoccupied by Jiseok.
"Jihae, come say bye. Now." Taehyung calls to the little girl.
She comes back with her small backpack on her back and reaches up to Jungkook.
"Be good for Yoongi. And don't be mean to mommy." Jungkook says picking her up and kissing her cheek.
"Mommy's mean first?" Jihae defends as Jungkook puts her down.
"Bye, Tae. See you later. Thanks Yoongi, bye." Jungkook says grabbing his keys and rushing out.
Yoongi raises and eyebrow at that, he's been picking the kids up for the past few months and never has Jungkook ever left the house without a million I love you's and kissing each of the kids and Taehyung.
But for the past week or so he's always been on a rush out.
"Up, Yoonie!" Jihae demands reaching for him.
"Look, baby, why don't you go get Jiseok's bag from the kitchen." Yoongi says making the girl scurry off without question.
If Taehyung would of asked her it would've been a debate.
"What's going around here?" Yoongi asks in a low voice once she's gone.
"Nothing. Just, kids and work and work and kids." Taehyung says with a chuckle but he seems hurt as he says the words.
"Jihae?"
He sighs crossing his arms. "I don't know what to do, Yoongi. She hates me. I wish she was a little baby still. Now she can talk and all she does is sass me. Jiseok never sasses me."
"Why do you give her such a hard time?" Yoongi asks, bouncing Jiseok when he gets fussy.
"Me? Giving her the hard time? I'm the parent, Yoongi. She has to understand that I'm not her friend." Taehyung says. "And that's extremely difficult when you and Jungkook cater to her all the time."
"Hey, I'm the fun uncle." Yoongi defends.
"She thinks I don't love her. Just because I keep her in her place and teach her right from wrong?" Taehyung asks, sounding like he's getting emotional.
Jihae returns with the bag, excitedly showing Yoongi that she got it by herself.
Taehyung helps Yoongi get the kids in the car after making sure they had everything.
"You'll be good, won't you Jihae?" Taehyung asks as he straps her in.
"For my daddy." The girl says kicking her feet and playing with Yoongi's hair as he strapped Jiseok in.
"Okay." Taehyung says, he really didn't understand why his daughter was always so upset with him.
Yoongi finishes strapping Jiseok in And closes the door before climbing in the front.
"Can I have a kiss, baby?" Taehyung asks Jihae.
"No! I don't wanna mommy." She says crossing her arms.
Taehyung sighs, standing and addressing Yoongi. "Thanks again, Yoongi."
"Yeah." Yoongi says before Taehyung closes the door.
Yoongi sighs when he sees Taehyung's sad eyes as he walks back into the house.
"Jihae, it really upsets me when you act like that." He says looking at her through the rear view mirror. "You're mommy loves you, why did you do that?"
"Mommy's mean." Jihae pouts. "He always say no, no, no and never holds me. And baby always cry and takes m' mommy and daddy. It my mommy and daddy."
"Jihae, you do understand that Jiseok is your brother right?" Yoongi asks, starting the car.
"I'm baby too." The girl argues.
"I know, but Seok needs mommy and daddy a little more than you do right now. But they love you. And mommy just wants to teach you right from wrong and how to be respectful. Because he loves you."
Jihae pouts silently, Yoongi didn't expect her to fully understand but he just wanted her to be nicer to Taehyung.
"Be nice to mommy, he loves you so, so much. Okay?" He asks making her nod.
Yoongi doesn't say anything more and Jihae continues to pout.
He knew it was hard for her to adjust to Jiseok so he tried to be understanding, but he also tried to help her adjust to the baby.
It wasn't fair to Taehyung for her to be so rude all the time.

"Trouble in paradise?"
"What makes you say that?"
Jimin chuckles as he sits down the cup of coffee that Jungkook didn't ask for.
"You seem stressed." He says crossing his arms. "That, and you've been putting in overtime for the past two weeks."
"So?" Jungkook sighs looking away from his computer. "Shouldn't you be doing secretary stuff right now?"
Jimin rolls his eyes, he had agreed to be Jungkook's secretary on the days he wasn't giving dance lessons.
Dancing was his passion and he loves it but his bills definitely didn't, so he worked at the brokerage with Jungkook to help support himself and Yoongi.
"Seriously though, what's going on?" He asks ignoring the fact that he should be working.
"Nothing. I have a lot of work to do." Jungkook shrugs. "And I don't plan on staying tonight."
"You have the same amount of work to do as you usually do." Jimin says. "And I know even if you did have more you'd never put work before your time with your kids and your husband."
Jungkook sighs. "What are you trying to say?"
"That I think you're avoiding going home for some reason." Jimin says. "Are you sure everything is okay?"
"Yes. We're fine." Jungkook says returning to his work.
"I know what it is." Jimin says, pausing to let Jungkook ask him what it was. "...Don't you want to know what it?"
"If it will make you leave faster, then yes." Jungkook responds, returning his attention back to Jimin. "Please enlighten me on my marital issues."
"You and Taehyung both work full time jobs, both commanding in their own way. You see each other in the mornings and at night everyday expect for the weekend, which you intentionally take off every week to spend with the kids. Again, with the kids. The same kids that you're with in the morning and at night. Resulting in zero alone time between the two of you, seeing how you're both either working or with the kids..."
"And you said all that to say?" Jungkook asks.
"Let me finish." Jimin says holding up a finger. "When you guys are together you are most likely talking about the kids, what they need, where they need to go, who they need to see, doctors appointments. All that jazz."
Jungkook nods because his words are true. "So, should my kids not be my number one priority?"
"They should. But I said all that to say, you guys need time to yourselves every once in a while. Because soon you'll start to long for the time when you had your own life and did with it what you wanted." Jimin says. "You're already running away by working all time now. Because it's literally the only time you're thinking about anything other than the kids."
Jungkook thinks about what Jimin says silently, what he said made sense but he didn't think it could happen to him. He loved his family and he really didn't mind that the kids took up most of his time.
"And if your sex life dies, the rest of the relationship is pretty much a downhill slope." Jimin says with a sigh. "Tragically coming to an end."
"Whatever you say." Jungkook says rolling his eyes.
"I'm serious. You guys need a date night or something. If I was living like this I'd be mental." Jimin says dramatically. "No sex, no me time, or us time? Just kids, kids, kids and work, work, work. Don't tell me you like living like this."
"I've made sacrifices for my marriage and for my family, Jimin. This is what we wanted." Jungkook says.
"Exactly. What you wanted." Jimin says. "What do you want now?"
Jungkook sighs, running a hand through his already disheveled hair.
"I already finished transferring half of your paperwork to the company you're partnering up with. And I've contacted the offices that you were looking into and set up a few meetings." Jimin starts. "Yoongi will keep Jihae and Jiseok until I finish faxing the paperwork you're working on now and can head home. Jin's scheduled to close the bakery tonight anyways so Taehyung will get off early, I think at around four or five."
Jungkook's expression is confused. "What are you going on about?"
"You can leave early today because I've gotten you caught up on most of your work." He says. "So leave. Go pick your husband up from work and take him on a date. We're keeping the kids tonight so after that, for the love of all things good, have sex. Like seriously, I'll hurt you if you don't."
"Are you serious?" Jungkook asks checking his watch before looking back at the work he was doing.
"As a heart attack. Get up." Jimin says reaching over and turning the monitor off on his computer. "Come on, let's go."
"Jimin." Jungkook says. "I really appreciate it, I do. Thank you so much. But~"
"But? But. But what?" Jimin says walking around the desk and pulling him up by the wrist.
"Jiseok still doesn't sleep through the night and Jihae has never stayed away from us." Jungkook complains as he's dragged from his seat.
"I don't care. Yoongi's been watching them long enough to know how to take care of them." Jimin reassures him, pushing towards the door of his office. "You guys need this, trust me. You won't regret it."
"I will if something happens to my children." Jungkook says stopping at the door, checking his watch again.
"Go, Jungkook. And if you won't do it for yourself, do it for Taehyung." Jimin says. "He needs you a lot more than you think."
Jungkook sighs, Jimin was right. They had both been ignoring their own needs to meet the needs of Jihae and Jiseok.
But even as parents they needed time to not be parents, because soon they would lose sight of each other and why they decided to make the sacrifices that came with being parents.
"Thank you, Jimin." Jungkook says as he grabs his suit jacket. "I owe you, I'll give you the day off tomorrow. You'll need it after watching Jihae and Jiseok."
Jimin chuckles. "Have a good time. I'll take care of everything here."
Jungkook nods and leaves the office to go catch Taehyung before he got off.
He was actually excited to be alone with his husband.
It's been so long since they've just talked freely to one another about adult things that didn't involve the kids.
Even though he loved his children unconditionally, Jungkook knew a break was well overdue.
