gigi and i walked hand in hand into the locker room. i set my stuff down.

"hey kels" tiff said.

"hey tiff" i said back. i watched as gigi sat down beside my bag.

"how is she ?" kiah asked.

"umm well she's been in a lot of pain lately and she's also been super mean so" i said.

"aww is it because she miss basketball ?" megan asked.

"i think so but she won't talk to me or tell me what's wrong. i've tried everything. i even tried to bribe her with a caramel frappe and she won't tell me what's wrong with her" i said making them laugh at the last part.

"not you tryna bribe her" aja said.

"man i was desperate i was tying any and everything" i said shaking my head. i felt gianna tap me making me look back at her.

"can i have a pain pill ?" she asked. i looked at the time and nodded. i gave her one and let her drink some of my water.

"is the light to bright ?" i asked and she nodded. every since her accident we've kept a blanket here and becky let gigi sleep in the conference room while i practice.

i don't wanna leave her at home & her watching us practice is too much for her concussion to handle so she usually just sleeps through it.

"when can i start practicing again ?" gigi asked making me look up at her.

"not until your cleared" i said.

"but mommy if i don't start back practicing im gonna be out of shape" she said.

"well i'll let you workout only 10 minutes a day thats it. if it's to much you better tell me" i said and she nodded.

"i promise i will.. thank you" she said and i nodded.

"okay come on." i said holding my hand out for her. i walked her to the conference room and handed her, her ipad, headphones, and put the blanket over her.

"okay i will be back later on. relax. i love you" i said kissing her forehead.

"i love you more" she said.

"hey she sleeping ?" jackie asked as we walked back to the locker room.

"not yet but it doesn't take her long to fall asleep" i said and she nodded.

"so have you found anyone yet ?" she asked making me laugh.

"nope.. im honestly just focusing on my child healing and basketball right now. i'll worry about that later on down the line" i said.

"okay period i love that for you bestie" she said making me smile.

"thank you love" i said as she nodded.

we walked back into the locker room and i finished changing before we headed on the court to warm up.

"how's she holding up ?" jackie asked me.

"she's okay. most days she's mad at the world and some days she's her normal self" i said.

"ik her not being able to be physical is taking a toll on her"

"yeah but she knows it's for the best" i said smiling.

after about 15 minutes into practice jackie and i went to check on gigi. i opened the door and she was sleeping like a baby. being far away kind of scared me tho cus i could not see her chest move up and down.

"baby girl" i said shaking her lightly. she stirred and then looked at me.

"i'm sorry i woke you up honey i had to make sure you were still breathing" i said and she nodded.

"okay go back to sleep my love" i said kissing her forehead.

we walked back onto the court and started back getting some shots up and practicing on our dribbling skills.

after practice we headed to the locker room and the energy was definitely there i loved it.

"I SAY OUUU BABY, BAE I LUH YOUU, YOU MY EVERYTHING" the loud speaker played. i could hear the girls yelling the lyrics

"PERIOD" i said laughing.

"you gay asf" jackie said as i wrapped my arms around her waist grabbing her butt.

i laughed and shook my head as i changed my shoes. i put on my slides and walked to the conference room.

"baby wake up" i said shaking her lightly. and lately she's been getting scared lately so i try to be as gentle as possible. her nerves are really bad.

"hey it's just me your okay" i said as she jumped. she grabbed her stuff and we walked back to the locker room as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

i dipped my feet in the pool as i talked to the girls.

"my mom said she'll let me work out but only for 10 minutes" i said.

"i think that's fair" juju said.

"yeah cus you be pushing yourself to hard you need to rest" jada said.

a few minutes later my mom and aunt came out. she had drinks in her hand and they looked so good.

"hi mommy are one of those drinks for me ?" i asked.

"yes" she said handing one to me and then she gave jada, kk, and juju theirs.

"thanks mommy" i said and then the girls said thank you.

"yww don't stay out to long your face is super red" she said wiping the sweat from my face.

"aunt jackie you look good girl" i said making her smile.

"thank you baby" she said as her and my mom walked back into the house.

"guys tell me why i got a parking ticket yesterday like it's ridiculous" juju said making us laugh.

"bye you must have parked in a handy cap spot or sum cus they don't play about them spots" kk said.

after about 10 minutes we walked inside and the cold air ?? hit so bad i love it.

"omg that's what im talking about" i said making my mom laugh.

"its to hot" i added.

"nah fr vegas heat don't play at all" aunt jackie said.

afterwards the girl said goodbye and they headed home. i walked upstairs and grabbed my laptop before going to sit in the kitchen.

"mommy can you help me ?" i asked. she nodded and came over before looking over my shoulders.

"your actually smart" i said.

"gianna please don't play with me" my mom said laughing. "im kidding lol" i said.

afterwards we went to the couch to watch a movie and chill. i can't wait to start back practicing idk how much longer my mind and body can take without basketball fr.
