(This is the final chapter in the third volume and I must say, a lot has happened since the first volume and I happy the story has gone on for this long. Some things must come to an end though. I don't know whether I should finish the story here, or keep it going. I'm keeping the ending how it is though. At the end of this chapter, I'd like comments to depict if I should keep it going. The ending of the chapter should be sufficient to end the story, but I have ideas to keep it going. So, it's all up to you. I would also like to say a few things: Thank you so much to everyone who is reading this book. I worked really hard on it to create the best experience for the readers. I love everyone who has given me ideas and support throughout the time. Thank you all so much. I hope you enjoy this last chapter. And without further ado, lets get this thing started, shall we?)

When everyone saw Yang, they were shocked, her right arm was missing. Blake held her side and took Yang's hand.

"I'm so sorry..." She cried. Yang was unconscious.

"I... I should have stopped him... I was a coward... I ran away... Damnit!!" Y/N yelled with tears in his eyes. A small bark came from Zwei when he noticed Ruby running up to the platform.

"Ruby! Where were you? I..." Weiss was surprised to see her alive and well.

"Don't worry, I'm fine!" She said.

"Glad to see you're alright, Ruby." Y/N walked up to her. She had a shocked expression.

"Why are you down here?! I thought we agreed for you to stay up on the arena where it's safe!" Ruby exclaimed, frustrated.

"Tell that to the ten, now dead Nevermores that basically chased me after I jumped."

"You jumped?!"

"Uh... What else could I have done?"

"How did you survive the fall?"

"There was a haybale." Ruby mentally put the argument away.

"Anyway, What's going on?" She asked. Y/N sighed and Weiss had a large frown on her face.

"What?" Ruby asked.

"You're really not going to like this... I feel responsible for it... but...." Y/N moved out of the way to reveal Yang being disarmed, and Blake with a stab wound. Ruby's eyes grew teary.

"Y-Yang..."

"Hey... She's gonna be okay. The soldiers have a ship ready to take you back to Vale." Sun stepped up.

"But Jaune and Pyrrha are still missing!" Nora said holding her side.

"What?!"

"Look guys, that giant Grimm keeps circling the school. Even the White Fang are pulling out! We all have to go... Now!" Sun demanded.

"I'll find them....." Ruby said aloud. Everyone looked at her.

"I'll find them... And bring them back."

"No..." Weiss said.

"...We will find them." Y/N smiled.

"You take care of Blake and Yang. We'll be back soon." Weiss said to Sun before running off back to the school with Ruby and Y/N.

"You better be!!! Ugh... Idiots.." Sun scoffed. After what seemed like several minutes, Y/N heard an explosion. Then, his scroll went off.

"Who is it?" Ruby asked.

"It's Jaune!" Y/N picked up.

"Jaune! Where are you? Where is Pyrrha?!" He asked worryingly.

"Y/N! Please you have to stop her!" Jaune panicked over the call.

"What?!"

"She's going after that woman... at the top of the tower! She doesn't stand a chance!"

"Jaune. Where are you?" Y/N said in a more serious tone.

"Don't worry about me!! Please... Just save Pyrrha." Y/N sighed.

"We will. I promise." Y/N said. The phone call ended quickly as the signal between the scrolls disconnected. Then, the Grimm Dragon flew around the tower before perching on the side of it.

"Holy Shit.... That's a dragon..."Y/N marveled at the gigantic beast of a Grimm. Ruby took out her scythe.

"I have a plan."

"As you always do." Weiss said, taking hers out as well. Y/N took his weapons out.

"Ready to do what we do best?" Y/N asked.

"Hmph Save the world?" Weiss guessed.

"You know it. Let's go!!" Y/N yelled, running into the hoard of Grimm with Ruby and Weiss. Y/N grabbed Ruby's hand and spun her around before throwing her towards a group of Grimm. She turned them into mince meat. Weiss was shooting elemental shots out of her rapier.

"Weiss! Get down!" Weiss looked over at Y/N and ducked quickly. A whole Ursa jumped over her, only to be blasted through the skull and out the rectum by Y/N's revolver.

"Thanks."

"Got your back." Y/N smiled. All the while, Pyrrha was battling Cinder on top of Beacon's tower.

"Guys?! Where are the other teachers?! Where is Ozpin?!" Y/N asked.

"I don't know!"

"I know that Port and Ooblek are on the arena still!"

"Damn..." Y/N cut a Beowolf clean in half. He looked around and saw a downed Paladin. He ran over to It, bursting with excitement.

"Y/N, Where are you going!" Weiss yelled at him.

"TRUST ME!" He yelled back. He opened the front hatch of it and hopped in. There were buttons everywhere.

"Shit.... Is this what it's like to be in a Gundam Robot? Can't tell where the on switch is." Then, he found a big red button on the side with the word 'ON'. He facepalmed and pressed the damn button. The Paladin powered on and stood itself up. A blue hologram appeared beside Y/N. The hologram was a woman. He gasped.

"Cortana?! Is that you!?" He had his hopes up. The hologram didn't respond.

"Hello, and welcome to the Atlesian Paladin. This state of the art military mech has been designed to take out hoards of Grimm and other enemies alike. Would you like a tutorial to understand how the Atlesian Paladin works? It is highly recommended to first time users." The hologram spoke in a pleasing feminine voice. Y/N thought about it. He grinned.

"What the heck is taking him so long?!" Weiss asked. She was tired as hell from fighting all of the Grimm. So was Ruby. Out of nowhere, a large barrage of rockets blew up a hoard of Grimm from above. The two girls looked up to see the Paladin flying over them.

"Justice rains from above!" Y/N smirked.

"That was probably the best idea you've had... ever." Weiss sighed.

"Good thinking, Y/N." Ruby said.

"I thought you guys might be tired from fighting them soooo.." He dropped down to the ground. He used his right arm with the minigun to shred through a bunch of Grimm.

"HELL YEAH THIS IS FU---" A big piece of rubble from the tower fell down on the mech. Y/N Jumped out of it quickly before it exploded. He stood up and dusted himself off.

"You okay?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah. Not a scratch." Y/N smiled. Some of the Grimm backed off to regather themselves. Y/N's smile turned into a serious frown. He looked to the ground. Ruby and Weiss were about to walk towards the Grimm. Y/N stayed put.

"C'mon Y/N, we gotta take out the rest of the Grimm." Ruby said.

"Yeah. What are you standing there for?" Weiss asked.  At that moment, the only sound was the wind. Y/N raised his head. Ruby turned and looked into his eyes. She then realized...

"No...." Her lips quivered and her voice started to waver.

"Ruby."

"No. I know what you're thinking."

"Ruby...I..."

"No, No, No..."

"You have to let me..."

"I'm not letting you go up there!" She started to cry.

"I have to save..."

"NO!!! YOU KNOW YOU'LL DIE!!!" Tears were falling down her cheeks.

"Ruby..."

"LET ME GO! I HAVE A BETTER CHANCE THAN YOU!" Ruby sobbed. Y/N walked closer to her and held her against his chest. He felt the wet tears soak his shirt.

"Ruby... You are our leader.. Without you, there would be no one to lead us... No team RWBY... That's why you can't go up there to fight her. Your team needs you to be their leader, Ruby." Y/N stroked the back of her head. She sobbed even harder.

"I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!"

"I'm going to tell you something my father told me once... Keep moving forward... No matter what pushes you back..."

"Y/N... I ..mm!" Out of nowhere, she felt a sensation she has never felt before... She felt his breath on her face and his lips on hers. Her eyes widened, realizing what was happening. Her arms went limp. Weiss was flabbergasted. The kiss lasted for several seconds before he broke apart. He smiled. Ruby stood, dazed for a couple more seconds before putting her hand to her mouth.

"Y-You... Yo... You kissed me.." Her tear-soaked cheeks blushed red with embarrassment.

"Y-Yeah I did... And.. T-That was a promise..."

"A promise?"

"A promise saying that I will come back."

"Ruby... Let him go..." Weiss said to her in a sad tone. Ruby looked back at Weiss. Weiss nodded and Ruby looked at Y/N.

"You better come back... You hear me? I... I love you...Y-Y/N" Another tear fell down her cheek. He smiled and wiped her tears.

"I love you too, Ruby... Weiss, if you could be so kind."

"Wait... I have something to say too..." Weiss got their attention.

"Y/N... I want to say that I'm glad that I've met you. I believe that I wouldn't have had as much fun in Beacon without you being there. I know I can be a bit stubborn and mean at points.. but, I.. I enjoy being your friend. Thanks for being there for me." Weiss said with an embarrassed blush on her face. Y/N went up and hugged Weiss. She was shocked.

"Thanks, Weiss... But don't act like this is goodbye."

"Huh?" She looked up at him.

"Act like it's see you later." He smiled at her. Weiss smiled back. Y/N let her go as Weiss got her glyphs ready for him to go up the building.

"You should be able to step on the wall and walk." Weiss said, creating white glyphs on the side of the tower. Y/N took a step onto the tower, and suddenly his world went sideways. He turned to Ruby.

"Guess I'll have to keep you waiting, huh?" He smiled one last time before running up the tower. The Grimm got back together into a large hoard and grew closer to the two girls as they got their weapons back out.

"Looks like we gotta put our faith into Y/N." Ruby said.

"Either way... Let's help him by taking out these Grimm." Weiss nodded. He ran to the top of the tower as fast as he could and he hopped over the edge.

"Pyrrha! I'm here to rescu.." He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Pyrrha Nikos was on her knees.. Cinder had a bow and arrow pointed at her. She then noticed Y/N before turning her head to him, giving him the biggest shit eating grin. Pyrrha looked at Y/N in shock. Cinder then turned back to Pyrrha as an arrow pierced her heart. Pyrrha's eyes widened as she tried to grab the arrow, but failed due to the pain being too intense. She choked, gasping for air. She tried to mouth the words, "Go, Run." to Y/N, until her body turned into gold particles. Every bit of her blew away in the wind except for her headpiece, which fell to the floor. Y/N couldn't fathom what just happened... Did... Did she just.... Die...? He.. He didn't even know...

"Oh well. So much for your school's guardian, and your friend." Cinder said, looking at Y/N.

"Too bad you were too late to save her." She smirked at him. An orange flame burned around her right eye. Tears filled his eyes as he stood up. He took his sword out and ran towards her with absolute range. He yelled to the top of his lungs as he ran at her.

"Hmph. I'll go easy on the brat." She said to herself as the fire around her eye vanished. He tried to strike her with his sword, only for it to be blocked by a blade made of reinforced glass.

"YOU BITCH! I'LL KILL YOU!!! YOU KILLED PYRRHA!!!" He put more force onto his sword, pushing her back a bit. She noticed the hatred in his eyes.

"Yes... Be angry... Show your hatred." She smirked. Y/N pulled back his sword and started to attack her more, her blocking every single one of them.

"So I can sweep it all away from under you." She used her other hand to make another blade of glass and cut his left arm several times before he jumped back, wincing in pain. He held his arm, which was bleeding pretty badly. Blood dripped from his fingers to the ground. He wiped the blood on the face of his sword. The runes lit up in flames, causing the sword to ignite.

"It seems you have some tricks up your sleeve. I'll play along." She said, running towards him. He pulled out his revolver and spun it. He shot the ground near Cinder, causing small explosions with the explosive bullets he had. She dodged them, but wasn't paying attention as Y/N pressed the button on the bottom of his sword handle, throwing it at her feet, freezing her legs temporarily. He then ran at her, punching her in the gut really hard. She coughed up some saliva as the wind was knocked out of her. She then broke out of the ice and jumped back. Y/N ran towards her, grabbing his sword on the way. He pressed the button again to deactivate the ice mode on it. He smeared more blood on the sword to ignite it once more as he ran. He jumped into the air to hit her from above. She put both of her blades above her to block it, but the fire melted the glass and it went through her blades. She quickly dodged to the side. Y/N slashed the ground with his sword. Cinder then kicked him in the gut, causing him to roll away a bit. He got up to gather his strength again.

"Damn this kid... How is he beating me without me using my Maiden powers? He should be weaker than that dumb Blonde boy. Hell, it was easier killing Ozpin. It seems I got to use my powers... Hmph." She laughed a bit as the flame around her eye reappeared. Y/N propped himself up with his sword, breathing heavily, thinking of another tactic. Out of nowhere, an orange circle appeared under his feet. He quickly rolled to the side, taking his revolver out, reloading it really fast. The circle ignited into an explosion. Y/N quickly shot Cinder, only for her to block the bullets with her hands. She created several more circles under the boy, making him run all over the tower, dodging each one. She started shooting small fire bolts at him every time he dodged, causing him to get hit. They were sharp, cutting and burning the skin at the same time.

"What is she.... How can she have two Semblances? That's dumb! Shit!" He breathed heavily. He pressed the button on the bottom of the handle again, turning it to freeze mode again. She shot a stream of molten glass at him. Y/N swung at the attack. The result was steam, and shards of glass on the ground. The glass floated off of the ground and flew to Cinder, creating another blade.

"I'm done." Cinder said to herself as Y/N pulled out his revolver once more, only for it to be shot out of his hand with a fire bolt from her. The gun fell off the tower.

"Shit..." He got his sword and ran towards Cinder hoping to hit her... somehow... The next thing Y/N knew, a large glass blade was inside of his stomach, and out the other side of him. His eyes widened. The pain was immeasurable. Blood dripped out of the wound. He also coughed up blood, as he tried to gasp for air. Cinder leaned in really close to his face and spoke softly.

"It's pointless. You won't win. You're just going to die...." She shoved the blade further into him, causing him to cough up more blood.

"...Like the worthless, powerless, insignificant alien you are. You'll be alone... You shouldn't have come here to begin with." She pulled out the blade and Y/N fell backwards against the wall. Blood spilled out of his abdomen rapidly. He didn't know what to do. He was going to die either way.

"I'll give you credit for landing a few hits on me, but it didn't phase me at all. Anyway... Goodbye...."

"W....Wai..." Y/N coughed up more blood as he reached into his pocket and held up a specific ring.

"I.... Is That?.... How did you get your hands on that?! We've been looking everywhere for that!" She had a very angry look on her face. Y/N just smirked and laughed in pain. He slowly tried to get up, being in more pain as he did so.

"Y-You know what? F-Fuck this world. I don't give a shit about I-It anymore. You want it? Y-You can do with it as you damn well please! But, I... I am not letting my teammates, my... my friends... sacrifice their lives to save this world from your shit. I will not... let you take them from me. I-I sworn an oath to protect, stand by, and give my life to my teammates. Even if I have to sacrifice my own life for their sake to live... I WILL PAY THAT PRICE!!" Y/N yelled as he put the ring on his right middle finger. A purple flame ignited from the ring. Y/N held his head in pain and fell down against the wall again. Cinder backed up and laughed.

"That fool... he doesn't know he isn't worthy. He'll still d----" Everything stopped. Time itself stopped. Black fog flooded the tower. It was pitch black.

"Greetings!" A loud, deep-voiced male spoke up above. Y/N looked up to see 8  large ghostly figures above him.

"It seems you have put on the ring, and now you have awoken us. What is it that you seek?" He asked.

"W...Who are you?" Y/N asked.

"We, are the original Kings and Queens of ancient Remnant, and the makers of the ring." Another ghost said.

"I will ask again. What is it that you seek with the ring? I will not ask again."

"I.... I need power... I need help to beat her.. Please... Help me!" Y/N pleaded

"Hmph! You need power?! What makes you think we will give someone like you, without strength to give, power? You are not worthy of the power of the ring if you want to win a fight." The man talked seriously

"I... "

"You are not worthy... You will die as punishment for your foolishness."

"WAIT!!!!"

"What is it!?"

"I don't want power to beat her for me.... I... I want to avenge my fallen friend... I want to make sure my friends don't have to deal with her.. I..."

"Are you willing to give your life for that outcome?"

"My life?.... My life is nothing... Their lives mean everything. I'd gladly die, if it means them being safe." Y/N said. Each of the old ghosts looked at each other.

"Very well. We will give you full power over the ring for the price of your life."

"Thank you.. Thank you so much."

"Walk tall, young man." The ghostly figures disappeared and the fog faded. Time moved again. Out of nowhere, a large deep blue aura swarmed Y/N. His previous wounds healed as he got on his knees. His eyes turned bright pink. His left eye had a purple flame burning around it. The veins in his body glowed orange. He screamed in pain as the process was happening. Deep blue flowers bloomed around the tower. Ruby looked around on the ground, seeing the flowers. She then looked up at the tower, seeing the large, visible Aura.

"No...." She said, worried. Little, thin flakes of skin started burning off. His skin started to char into ash. He slowly stood up when it was over. His sword disappeared. He held out his hand and a new weapon manifested into his hand with a blue aura. It turned out to be a simple dagger.

He didn't say a word. He threw the dagger at Cinder. She dodged and the dagger was lodged into the wall next to her. When she looked back at Y/N, all she saw was a singular blue afterimage. Then, a hand grabbed Cinder by the back of the head and slammed her face into the ground. Y/N then ran, dragging her face along the floor to the other side of the tower before smashing it into a wall. He then threw her to the opposite side of the tower, creating a crater on the wall.

"W... What the hell!? How?!" She was scared. She shot a firebolt at him. He simply flicked it away as if it was a mosquito. He then threw his dagger at Cinder again, only for it to stop right in front of her. She then was launched into the air by a punch to the jaw. Y/N threw the dagger up into the air and warped instantly to her position. She looked to the left to see him. He grasped his hand and sparks conjured within them. He then punched her so hard that a legitimate lightning bolt hit her down to the bottom of the tower. Y/N warped to the ground and looked at the hole that Cinder created by falling through the middle of the tower. Just then, a large column of fire rose in the middle, and Cinder with it. She was pissed. Y/N threw away his dagger behind him. The dagger disappeared by a blue aura. He held out his hand again to manifest another weapon. It changed to a large sword with a skull on it.

He spun it around and got a feel of it before dashing towards Cinder with a fast pace. He went to attack so she was forced to block. She used one of her blades to block the sword. He then put more pressure on it, causing her to use two blades. He pushed harder, making her slide backwards as he walked forwards. Once her back hit the wall, she was stuck. He then pushed so hard, that he broke through her blades and cut off her left arm. She grabbed what is left of it in pain and yelled loudly. Y/N grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the other side of the tower. He walked towards her slowly.

"You.... You're going to die today, Cinder. I will not show mercy." He walked up and stabbed her in the left eye with the tip of his sword. She screamed in pain once more, holding the left side of her head.

"Well.... This is it... This is where I die.. I cant believe this... He put on the ring and he actually gained the powers of the original founders of Remnant" Cinder said to herself. Y/N held his sword up to her neck. He held the sword back, ready to swing until he dropped it. He held his heart and fell to his knees.

"Hmm?" Cinder took the opportunity to kick him to the opposite part of the tower. The blue Aura that surrounded Y/N vanished along with his pink eyes and glowing veins. He breathed heavily, looking at his body. It was already all charred up and decaying. The ring's power was gone. His vision became fuzzy. Pieces of the char on his skin was being peeled of and blown away slowly.

"Weiss!" Ruby called to her.

"Got it!" Weiss put the white glyphs on the tower once more as she ran up the building. Cinder walked up to Y/N, holding what's left of her arm. Blood was falling down the left side of her cheek.

"You.... You were actually So close to killing me. Sadly the ring's power only lasts so long. I'll let you die this way. I'm all out of power..." Cinder said.

"Y-Y/N!!!!!!!!!" Ruby yelled and cried as she saw his condition against the wall.

"I..... I'm so sorry... R-Ruby..." The last thing he saw was a large flash of white as his body withered away.

(WELL SHIT. HOW ABOUT THAT? WELL THAT'S THE END OF VOLUME 3. THIS MIGHT BE THE END OF THE ACTUAL STORY. I DONT KNOW. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, COMMENT HERE IF YOU WANT A CONTINUATION OF THE STORY PAST VOLUME 3. MOST OF THE THANK YOU'S AND SHIT ARE AT THE TOP SO I WONT DO THEM HERE. THIS TOOK ME 2 WEEKS TO DO, STILL DEALING WITH COLLEGE SO, YEAH. I JUST FINISHED IT IN 3 HOURS SINCE MY LAST TIME WRITING ON IT. EITHER WAY, THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING AND I HOPE I SEE YOU GUYS SOON)
