KATE'S P.O.V

" I'm leaving" he finally said breaking the silence between us.

"What?" I asked softly.

"I think you heard me."

"What do you mean you're leaving?"

"It means we're done Kate, I don't do long distances relationships"

" I don't believe you." I stated my voice breaking.

"Believe what you want Kate we are done here. Goodbye." He stated walking off into the darkness, towards the forest where he came from. I trembled. My lips somehow forgot how to work. I wanted to call out to him, to beg for him to stay, to explain to me the reason for our quick departure. Our short relationship had ended terribly.

LUCAS'S P.O.V

" I've done it. I've done what you wanted. Now leave her alone." I stated to the figure the darkness.

"Good. And your father does he know you're here?"

"No, he doesn't know. No one knows."

"You really like this girl Lucas."

"I do."

"Ready to give up what is yours?"

"I have no choice." The figure stepped out of the dark.

"As longs as she is safe I will give you all of my powers."

"There won't be a reason for harming her once I'm through with you," He said grinning at me like the freaking manic he was.

KATE'S P.O.V

I stumbled into bed. Exhausted from crying so much. I missed Lucas deeply. My heart felt like it was completely broken and would never be fixed again. I missed his soothing voice, the way it always seemed to remain can in alerting situations. Most of all my heart was aching because of the promise he had made. The promise of never leaving me and now he was gone forever. And with that I broke down crying comforting myself with my soft sobs.

LUCAS'S P.O.V

I had given up and into the bad. My inheritance was gone. All my powers were gone, but it was worth it for her. Kate was worth everything in the world. I loved her with everything I had. Now that things were done and over with that's when my heart gave way to pain. I hadn't been totally honest with her. I hadn't told her my birth secret. My father wasn't completely human. He met my mother at a club one night and like that they hooked up. One good feeling lead to another good feeling and eventually I was born. My parents had a quick wedding and when I was born I was the new heir to his powers. The only thing about this story is that my mother knew what my father was and she accepted. She didn't hate him and she wasn't afraid. What if I tell Kate and she pushes me away like the other girls I've liked and told? What if she doesn't stay and instead flees in terror? What if she doesn't want to see me again?

All these questions and fear rejection had pushed me away from her. Now I had no power I wonder if she'll take me back? I knew my father would be angry at me for giving in so easily into the evil, for giving up my birth right to some freak for a mortal girl. I wonder if he remembers that he gave up his kingdom in another dimension to be with my mother? How can he expect me not to do everything in my might to protect her even if it meant throwing away my powers. Suddenly I heard a knock on my front door. I thought I told that bastard to leave me the hell alone. I went to my bedroom, grabbed my gun and walked slowly to the front door.
