            (Carla's POV)

                                  After talking more on the subject that landed us in family counseling Ms.Abels came up with a way that would likely work better to help us through this."I think it would be best if we had you guys do these sessions separately like Sebastian and Carla together, and we have Maud and Clotilda together. This will help with privacy so certain things that are meant for only one certain person get to be more or less heard and to help find what is the main disturbance for those two people I'm hoping this will help you much better." She said helping us get our stuff ready as she walked us to the door as she did to the last people, looking out the door it looked to be 6-7, in reality, it was a nice autumn afternoon maybe 4-5 still the sun still up but close to sundown the air made it feel like a nice summer sunset but it was still almost in the middle of the day as we walked back to the car it was like some weight was lifted whither it was the tension or the emotions we carried into the office but a new weight was there but it felt less awkward more real honest these sessions were more than perfect more things made sense now I can see why I felt so lost for so long and that felt rewarding something that should have been so clear to me was hiding its true meaning for so long and finding out made more sense than anything else I knew like finding a new piece of myself.

                        After getting to the house we were greeted by a tall woman talking to Scarlett next to her car again Alex was nowhere in sight probably handling business with Nathen and the others. Turning attention back to the other woman who looked similar to me with long somewhat curly blonde and a mix of black strands of hair, pale skin, green eyes with a mix of blue but that really wasn't really noticeable until you got close up.                                                                                                                                                                 It was Polina my cousin she is almost a year older than me and just loves to rub it in my face, well when we talked more its been years since I've talked to her, Mauds has only seen her twice at some fancy donation parties we helped host, she was overly open and social. I liked having her around but we haven't talked in a while and I'm not too close to that side of the family if any extended family of ours really, so I kind of only talked to her. As soon as the car stopped I jump out to greet her Maud looked confused but not as much as Sebastian and Clotilda. Who both neither really knew here one never meeting her, and the other only seeing her little to none or maybe he forgot she existed like me."Hey what are you doing here I haven't seen you in years it's been what 6-7 years since we even talked, you could've at least called me you have my number."She turned around with a smile and walked over slowly going for a hug as she got closer but in instinct, I dodged her and almost ran from her as she turned around confused she soon looked amused by what I did."So you are still a low social shut-in, then again I didn't expect much from you but you did change a bit like the new look girl boss."She said a smile on her face she turned and looked at the others who still sat by the car she smiled at first but then dropped it when she saw Sebastian then she turned to Clotilda looking surprised."You didn't tell me there was a mini you now."She isn't a mini-me she's my sister."Clotilda soon piped up amusing Polina's new discovery by saying."I like the term of her legal daughter more, my name is Clotilda and I didn't know there was a life-size Carla either so nice to meet you."She looked confused about what to call her before she got her answer."Polina it's been what close to 15-16 years since I've seen you or your family what are you doing here."Sebastian said in surprise with Maud who almost looked to be agreeing with him almost as confused but clearly glad to see her."Looking to stay for a while actually, I have some business in Cascade city you always said I could come to see you when I needed to and a partner of yours has some business with me so who better to go to then you."She said a big smirk on her face as she turned back to me almost looking like she was going to attempt that hug again but this time she was somewhat successful. She smelt of lavender and what did she call it calming orange flower, I think not fully sure though but the almost sour citrus smell was so familiar to me."Of course, you can stay where are your things I can help you bring them inside you can stay in one of the guest bedrooms."I said heading to the house going to the car that she once stood by thinking I'd see her things in the backseat or the trunk open with her suitcases inside."No, it's fine Scarlett helped me already I just need somewhere to put my stuff."We walked to the house talking about how long she'd be staying how she met Abitha and when they started conducting business when Polina asked something I wished she hadn't said in front of Clotilda or anyone at all."So you got contacts after all brown does look better on you like I thought, also what's up with you and the little you when did that happen you just went and adopted your little sister. Why though you hate your dad it must have sucked having such a big memory of him around for so long."I looked at her bitterly biting my tongue she sure did ask a lot of questions and she still didn't know when to read the room and shut her mouth, how could she say something so insensitive about Clotilda like that to her face.

(Polina POV)             

                          I turned back to her a smile that could only be described as being full of malice on Carla's glossy lips I could feel a chill go down my spine as Clotilda looked the other way almost ashamed at what I pointed out, everyone looked somewhat upset.'Just what I wanted.' I thought as I turned back to Carla actually feeling bad maybe that was too much all she said was to mess with them for a bit not get kicked out on my first night back."Sorry that was too much you know I'm overly curious and I really don't bother to read the room but that was wrong of me, sorry I think before I say something like that again."I said feeling genuinely bad for having that be one of the first things I say to my new little cousin, feeling guilty I went for a hug trying to comfort the uncomfortable child standing next to Carla in their living room. Surprisingly enough she hugged me back not as tightly but it was a start."I'll let it go because a lot of Carla's friends have a weird sense of humor so I've kind of got used to ignoring it."She said pulling away giving a weak awkward smile as Carla still glared at me bitterly.

                  After helping Carla cook dinner as an apology I was able to meet Alex who was quiet, but very polite and seemed to be close to Scarlett which was surprising with how out there she has a very loud and explosive personality maybe they work together to balance it all out. As the night went on I went looking for what room I'd be staying in when there was so many the top floor was full of bathrooms, closets, and room after room which all had a different design on the inside so that was cool. Soon I found a room with a velvet carpet, gray curtains that hung on a door that led onto a small terrace connected which was a beautiful idea with a cute chair with a flower pattern, and a silver rail that came up to my hip at the most the night sky shining perfectly a half-moon shining as bright as a whole. I walked back into the room taking in the design more the walls were white and fade to a grayish silver wall design as it went down from the roof, a nice sized desk, dresser next to a walk-in closet that was empty, and a nice sized bathroom. Sebastian really went all out with this house then again it was a memento for his sister, that burning garden is beautiful whoever said destruction couldn't make beauty, a really nice touch. After making sure everyone was in a deep sleep I slowly made my way past Clotilda's and Maud's rooms that were right next to mine leading to Carla's I knew she was a deep sleeper so this would be easy. Opening her door a crack made it easy to see the horned woman sitting on her bed waiting knowing I was here."So your back Polina did you come for the crystals or just here to antagonize us."She said a scowl on her face as a walked over reaching for my unconscious cousin who lay on her side facing the door which was weird who sleeps facing the door, I ignored to demon sitting next to her slowly pushing her onto her back."I'm here to make sure she doesn't snap and kill anyone else her body was rushed because of that woman she could be turning into a corrupted as we speak from the inside-out and I'm still investigating the rumors so yeah that's a thing."I said my hand slowly glowing as it faded in and out before glowing a burning amber and aqua.' There they are as I slowly pulled my hand away from her the part connecting her chest and abdomen slowly examing her she seemed to be fine but they were still growing inside her even though they should've died a long time ago inside her."You know I don't get why you try so hard for that woman your a liability to her and you know if Carla embraces her power she'll become queen anyway. She'll have no need for you and you'll just be another incense policy to her really and if Carla dies you'll be to blame in the end so why not let this happen let nature run its course."I could feel a bitter feeling in the back of my throat as she throw her twisted take on my actions, I was helping her she was my family both of them are the only close family I really have I need them."Oh shut it isn't your job to watch over her your her soul bubby or guardian or something, and shouldn't you be lost in the soulless void didn't your husband kill you after he found out you worked for the god of greed and corruption. You have no choice but to make sure she doesn't end up as you remember"She stared back upset knowing I got it wrong on purpose to bother her."Actually, I was hit in my chest not my head as you know the story goes. Once a beautiful princess fell in love with a royal solder who was made to work against anyone who dare worship the once doted queen who was killed along with her young son and created the goddess of sin. But he soon fell in love with the princess of the wrath spent years trying to win her heart when she married him and was made queen but after not being able to conceive a child her destruction got the better of her spreading pain and misery everywhere. When the god of corruption came to her with the power of greed in her heart promised her a child but in return, she had to find and her crystals of power that were made for different symbols of the 7 sins want her to find just 3. After doing so she soon was gifted with a child and power she lived happily with her new family the perfect for her. When her husband found her conversing with the god and days after cornered her and attempted to kill her but since he didn't properly destroy her core before her soul was freed she set free. And now I'm here as this one's babysitter and I am helping she would've cracked a long time ago if it weren't for me so yeah."She said looking proud at her storytelling but even though it was a good story I still need to worry about Carla more."So do I really have to surgically remove them out of her." I said unsure." yes that's the only way to really get rid of them without destroying both her and them."She said matter a factly knowing I was having doubts about this, after taking it all in I said goodnight to them even though only one of them could hear me going to my room to sleep thinking about how I was going to do all of this.
