Taehyung was restless. The reports of vampire attacks were increasing. He was getting so curious about vampires and wanted to know everything about them.

He tried to search through the books but couldn't find anything. His curiosity was increasing day by day.

"Hoseok hyung," Taehyung said, approaching Hoseok who was getting ready for the night patrol.

"I also want to go with you tonight," he said.

Hoseok shook his head, "Taehyung, it's too dangerous outside. You know that."

"I can handle that," Taehyung said boldly. "Hyung, I can't stay locked here forever, I want to see what's going on outside."

Hoseok sighed, knowing how stubborn Taehyung could be, "Alright, but you'll have to stay close to me. Understand?"

"I promise," Taehyung nodded eagerly.

As the night came, Taehyung and Hoseok started getting ready for the night patrol. They both left with the guards.

The streets were quiet with the only sound of their footsteps. The hustle and bustle of the morning was replaced by the eerily quiet streets.

Taehyung was walking close to Hoseok when he heard someone's presence behind him. He heard someone's voice, more like a whisper, calling his name.

Taehyung looked at Hoseok, who was busy talking with the guards. He took it as an opportunity and followed the direction of the voice.

As Taehyung followed the voice, he saw a figure standing a little far from him.

"Who's there," Taehyung called nervously.

The figure turned around and Taehyung felt panic rush through his body as his eyes fell on the fangs of that person.

The figure moved near Taehyung, and in an instant, it was upon him. Taehyung felt cold hands grab him, and he struggled as the vampire tried to bite him.

Panic rushed through him, and he fought with all his strength. Taehyung tried to push the vampire off him but it was of no use.

As the vampire was about to bite Taehyung, suddenly, the vampire was pulled away from him and thrown to the ground with great force.

Taehyung looked up in confusion. His eyes fell on the vampire who was lying on the ground while the vampire's eyes were stuck on a particular tree.

Taehyung followed his gaze and saw a shadowy figure standing behind the tree. He again looked at the vampire who was now standing in his place. The vampire again looked at the shadow and left from there.

Taehyung, without wasting any second, stood up from the ground and walked slowly steps near the tree to look at the person who was still standing behind the tree.

"Who?"

He was just about to see the face when suddenly Hoseok's voice called out.

"Taehyung, where are you?"

Taehyung again looked behind the tree and the shadow was not there anymore. He quickly made his way back to Hoseok, his heart still racing.

"Where were you, Taehyung?" Hoseok said, his voice filled with concern.

"Nothing," Taehyung lied, forcing a smile, "I was just looking around."

Hoseok didn't look convinced, "Alright. Let's head back to the palace, it's not safe here."

The walk back to the palace was silent but Taehyung's mind was still roaming with the mysterious shadow's thoughts. His thoughts were a tangled mess.

After coming back to the palace, Taehyung quickly went towards his room and sat down in a corner. His mind was filled with the mysterious shadow's question.

Who was the shadow? Why had it saved him? He couldn't find the answers but there were more questions.

In a dark, hidden room far from the palace, Jungkook stood with Yoongi. The room was dimly lit, casting a shadow over everything.

"Jungkook, why did you save that boy," Yoongi asked, his eyes narrowing, "It's so unlike you to save a human."

Jungkook took a big sigh, "He is the prince of this kingdom and if something happened to him, the whole kingdom would be on alert."

Yoongi thought for a moment and again spoke, "But Jungkook, how did you know that he is the prince of this kingdom? You barely go out and here we never talked about him."

Jungkook hesitated for a moment, "Hyung, I overheard some guards," he said quickly.

Yoongi looked at him, suspiciously, "Are you sure that this is the only reason?"

"Hyung, don't question me," Jungkook said frustratedly.

Yoongi nodded his head, "Alright!"

Seokjin and Namjoon were sitting in an old library. All the books were worn out. They both were going through some books as if they were looking for something particular.

"Namjoon," Seokjin whispered, his eyes scanning the page of a book.

"What happened!" Namjoon said, immediately coming towards Seokjin.

"Read this," Seokjin said, showing the book to Namjoon.

Namjoon started reading the book. His eyes narrowed as he read further. "What does it mean, jin?"

Seokjin looked at him for a moment before he again took the book from Namjoon's hands. "Namjoon, it states that there's a map for the place called Temple of Shadows" he said, pressing on the last words.

"But Jin, it's all a myth, the temple of shadows," Namjoon said confusedly.

"I don't know Namjoon, but this book states that there's a hidden map for that place," Seokjin said.

"But what is it in that place?"

"Namjoon, that place has secrets about vampires that no one knows and some secrets that could change everything," Seokjin whispered.

"Change everything?" Namjoon repeated.

"Yes, the place has information about where we came from, new powers and maybe a way to break out curse also," Seokjin whispered.

"B-Break our curse? You mean... becoming humans again?" Namjoon said with a hint of excitement.

Seokjin nodded his head, a soft smile on his lips.

"If this place is real, then others might be looking for it too. The other vampires, hunters, and even the royal people who want to control us," Namjoon said worriedly.

"Yes, we need to find the temple before everyone else. If others get it first, then all the vampires can get in danger," Seokjin said.

Namjoon nodded his head. "Yes, Seokjin."

They both sat in the library looking for some more books. The secret place was still roaming in the mind with many questions.

The same night, the king Fiona's kingdom, Kim Joon Ho, lay in his bedroom. The room was large and decorated beautifully. The furniture was luxurious.

He was sitting on his bed and many thoughts were roaming in his mind. The kingdom, which meant everything to him, was now in danger and he was unable to do anything.

His mind wandered back to his grandfather, Kim Seung. He was a great king for the kingdom.

He made an agreement with the vampires to protect the kingdom but now that agreement was causing more problems.

The king got to know about all this from his father. After knowing about this agreement, the king tried his best to keep Taehyung away from the outside world as it can be really dangerous for him.

Flashback:-

Long ago, the king of the Fiona Kingdom, Kim Seung, was known for his kind nature.

He was a great king who always thought about the kingdom before himself. He ruled for many years and that was proof of his loyalty to the kingdom.

The vampire attacks were increasing at a rapid speed and the kingdom was in danger. To protect the kingdom, the king made a secret agreement with the vampires.

Kim Seung sat in a hall. He sat at the end of a long table, across him sat a vampire known as Min Yoongi.

"I am here to finalize our deal," Yoongi said, his voice cold and smooth.

The king nodded his head, the nervousness clearly visible on his face.

"You promised us your loyalty and blood and in return, we will protect the kingdom," Yoongi said.

"Yes, but I want to discuss one more thing and that's the main and final thing for our agreement," The king said.

"What is it?" Yoongi said curiously.

"You will have to promise that your power will not be used against us. We need a guarantee that our kingdom will stay safe from the vampire attacks," The king said boldly.

"Yes, we will keep our promise but we have one condition," Yoongi said, smirking.

"What is the condition?"

"We need the blood of your heir," Yoongi said calmly. "Or you can say his life."

"You want the blood of my family. Is that the price you want for protecting the kingdom," the king said in shock.

"Yes, this is part of our agreement. As long as we get this, we will make sure your kingdom stays safe," Yoongi said, looking at the king.

"But that is not the price. You are asking for the next King's life, if the people of the kingdom got to know about this, then there would be chaos everywhere," the king panicked.

"It's a necessary sacrifice to keep our agreement and we will choose the heir we want for this agreement," Yoongi said coldly.

The King's heart raced. His mind flooded with thoughts, "The heir... the future of my kingdom. Can I really sacrifice him for peace?" The king thought in his mind.

He thought the suffering of his people was now finally at an end but never thought that it would be at this cost.

"Is one life worth the end of so much suffering?" The king again thought in his mind.

He clenched his fists, feeling the weight of his responsibility.

"If I agree to this condition then will the kingdom be free from the attack of vampires?" The king asked.

"Yes," Yoongi nodded his head.

The king took a big sigh, "Okay, I agree on this but only for the sake of the people of NY kingdom," he said, looking down.

"Okay, then the agreement is final," Yoongi said as he stood up from his seat.

The king nodded his head. The thought of the heir of this kingdom being part of this agreement made him feel so guilty.

End of flashback

Now, in the present, King Hyun Ho was deep in thought. What was supposed to be a protection for the kingdom has now turned into a threat. The safety they once promised was nowhere to be seen.

The king wondered why the vampires were breaking the agreement and why all the things were going wrong.

The agreement with the vampires was still a secret from others and if the people of the kingdom came to know about it then it won't result in good.

The kingdom was already in danger and revealing the secret could destroy it.

He felt so guilty. The choice made by his grandfather that seemed so necessary at this time now felt like a burden.

There were many questions in his mind and he was determined to find them.
