Misunderstood trust
"Sidd! You're back!" Reem said coming into the hall and smiling.
"You......" her smile faded. "Who's this?" She asked in a stern but surprised voice.
"Reem, please try to understand but...."
"Respond to my question."
"Tunisha."
Reem gasped and put a hand to her mouth.
"What!"
"Reem, she was injured and drunk, I didn't know where else to take her."
"So you brought her home? To OUR house?"
"Sorry."
"Sidd you know everything, you know everything she did to us; you know she's a betrayer. With your wife and child to-be, how can you keep someone unsafe with us?"
"She's a prostitute and bar dancer."
I saw Reem gulp. She stormed into her bedroom. I chased her.
"Reem, please listen to me. REEM!" I caught her and held her face with both my hands fiercely. "Look into my eyes. Do you trust me. DO YOU TRUST ME?"
I saw tears pricking in her eyes. I kissed her gently, licking her tongue.
"I would never do what you're thinking. I'm only yours. Only YOU have the right over me, more than myself. Okay? But when you don't talk to me, that's the most painful feeling in the world. Please understand and support me."
Reem stayed quiet but hugged me. I knew we were both protective about each other.
